pieisgood Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I recently learned about the Super Hornet Advanced and thought that would make a really nice addition to SF2. A little searching found some buzz and discussions about it roughly 2 years ago when it was ruled out for the near future. Has anyone picked it up since then? If not the Super Horner Advanced as a whole, is anybody working on CFTs for Super Hornets? Becuase I think those look cool as hell...
+EricJ Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Quite honestly back then around when it started to come to light (though it was a bit earlier I think) my mind wasn't interested. I'm sure some features like the CFTs can be done, and honestly if somebody wants to make them, be my guest. But for the most part somebody asked me on FB and the answer is No. Mainly because it's not in service, and getting FastCargo to do the project required some serious arm pulling so it's not something I really have much interest in myself. Besides the Super is pushing the limits as it is on available slots (if I remember correctly) so you're going to end up removing a capability by adding them. And no plans as a permanent fixture. Again FastCargo is a very busy man, and if it's not breaking anything, priority will be set to Low, and also the guy is very busy so if he does, he'll get to it.... sometime. However you can adjust the engines to "EPE" standards by opening he respective jet's _Data.ini and modifying the engine values to this: SLThrustDry=74730.12SLThrustWet=117433.05 Fpr both engines as well as [FlightControl] StallSpeed=51.44CruiseSpeed=277.8ClimbSpeed=308.6CornerSpeed=175.5 Be aware that this is not completely accurate (I simply added 20% to the values already) to get a good enough value.
