leodagan76 574 Posted June 27, 2016 Hi everyone! I experienced a strange issue with Vogesen terrain (the first one, not Vogesen2). It seems that there are multiple layers of fields : the tank is put on a first one, and a second layer "levitates" few meters above the first one... Take a look at the following pictures: I have zoomed closer and closer to the tank. (don't pay attention to the shadow issue, this one is due to the plane itself as it not appears with TW models) Is anyone know this issue and how to fix it? +Stephen1918 1,474 Posted June 30, 2016 I think the terrain problem is due to the height maps for each tile (xxx_hm.bmp) The data file has a HeightMapScale setting which is set pretty high for some tiles. Try lowering the scale setting, or eliminating the height map altogether. I've found that the individual height map is really only useful along rivers or lake shores, it doesn't make a big difference in the farms. I don't know what is causing the shadow problem in the Nieuport 12. I've looked at my original files, and played with the settings in my installs and I cannot reproduce the problem in FE1.
