Is there a way to build a campaign with a moving Forward Line of Troops that advances day by day or week by week, as in the regime change operation in Iraq (2003). The battle lines denoting red and blue forces would shift depending on the date...?

A campaign in SF world is not linear. It is dynamic. The frontline moves in the same way, as the ground troops capture or lose startegic nodes. This has nothing to do with the date.
