+EMCON360 215 Posted July 7, 2018 I Miss The Days Of The Old Quonset Point Airshows I Was There On That Bad Weekend When Corkey And Bill Fornoff Were Flying Modified Bearcats And Approaching From The North End Of The Field And Suddenly Bill's Bearcat Faultered And Crashed Into The Woods Short Of The Field Many Pondered If It Was Engine Airframe Failure But It Was Also A Bad Weekend For Lt. Cmdr. Harley Hall Who On Friday Before The Show Had To Punch Out Of His Phantom II From Inflight Fire He Went On To Become The Last Aviator Lost In Vietnam.
