+JulioJunqueira Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Does anyone here, knows the liters numbers marcation for Nieuport 24/27 fuel gauges? I'm painting a new HR texture for EmlD's cockpits. They uses one made for the SPADs and I would like to be more specific for late Nieuport versions. One thing that would help is to know the exact amount of fuel liters used in Nieuport 24 & 27 tanks. So I can distribute the numbers around the dial and draw it on Photoshop. Searching on my books & web, but no lucky so far.
+Stephen1918 Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 (edited) This looks like it comes from a game site, so I don't know how accurate it is: For the Nieuport 27: "Powertrain: 89-kW HP gasoline engine with 89-kW old prop and 21-gallon standard fuel tank " http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?t=81163 Edited November 18, 2020 by Stephen1918 1

The stock of gasoline and oil was enough for a two-hour flight, but fuel gauges was a rarity. There are such books about Nieuports: Windsock Datafile Special - Nieuport Fighters vol. 12 Crowood - Nieuport Aircraft of World War One Usually they write that Nieuport-17, -23, -27 types had a gasoline tank with a capacity of 68 liters (it is noted that the fuel tank capacity of the Nieuport-27 didn't increase compared to its predecessors). But you can also find other data: 1
