TROOPER117 146 Posted May 30, 2021 I recently found that windows 10 actually has a video editor... if you go into search and type 'video editor' it will bring up the video editor app. It's relatively easy to use and there are tutorials on youtube... (if I can work it out anybody can believe me) However, it's one drawback for me is it only allows you to save the video in 1080 resolution... what other editors are you chaps using?... as I see some of you are making great videos at a much higher resolution. Rick Rawlings 139 Posted May 30, 2021 I use the Pinnacle Studio series. It's way overkill and very temperamental, so I don't recommend it, but it's what I have...
catch 81 Posted May 31, 2021 I use Movavi. It has some pretty neat features but a lotta kinda naff stuff I'd never use. I'm still discovering what it can do just by fumbling around and experimenting after some time out in the wilderness away from making vids. Tutorials give me a headache. There's a million out there free and otherwise, some good, some bad so it's a lottery. I used to love windows movie maker back in the old XP and 7 days. Very easy to use with some good features. And free. As for resolution, I think utube stuffs vids up a bit. The clarity is not so good to my eyes compared to the original.
TROOPER117 146 Posted May 31, 2021 Yes it's a minefield out there... quite a few different free editors, (I'd rather not pay for one) with shed loads of advice, tutorials, with some of them requiring a knowledge of Einsteins theory of relativity! I always remember this little ditty from my army days when teaching recruits, K.I.S.S... 'keep it simple stupid'
