Sase9696 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Also i noted in Aces over europe 2022 edition that my plane start shooting by itself ?
MarkEAW Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I swore I had info on this issue, but I'm not seeing it on my EAWHS site. I remember I think it had to do with a misconfigured eaw.ini. I would make a rename of your eaw.ini to eaw.ini.old and then run eaw.exe to build a new eaw.ini file to see if the gun shooting issue goes away....without messing with the control configuration.
VonBeerhofen Posted January 19 Posted January 19 This problem happens when the game looses connection to the joystick after it's been detached and it's entries in the EAW.INI have been erased. This is done by Windows and the connection is not restored when it's plugged back in again. Instead you have to go through setting up your preferences again or as Mark suggested use a backup INI with the appropriate working entries. VBH
MarkEAW Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Thanks VBH. Been too long since this has happened and I forget exactly what the issue was. I wasn't given much info to go on in the first place. :\ But yeah, when the stick is configured and then you start up eaw.exe without it, the game clears the configuration. Like VBH did say. :) If Windows loose the device ID then this happens as well, like VBH said. :)
VonBeerhofen Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Don't worry Mark, you've got my back and I got yours. 😅
MarkEAW Posted January 20 Posted January 20 lol, but true. Thanks for your help. I'm not worried though :) heh.
