  1. For years, people have complained that "Red" air hasn't been adequately represented with regard to the latest generation of fighters. The InSky group seems to have changed this dramatically (not to mention Marcfighter, Veltro et al). Keep up the good work, gentlemen!
  2. The Person Below Me

Damn! GB beat me to it! In the sim world, True, I usually fly Blue Air and distribute MiG and Sukhoi parts to unwitting civilians over their towns/cities. The person below me remembers all those patches that Activision used to give out if you did well in their games for the Atari VCS (2600) and/or has one or several of said patches. (I'm a Bucket Brigadier myself)
  3. (Just figured that one out about three days ago myself)
  4. Users or Name/Saved Games/ThirdWire/StrikeFighters2/...
  5. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=35067 No KB parts that i know of yet, just the sticky (above).
  6. Concur with the above: most A/C work with it (just got it a few days back myself), and for some reason or another it seems to handle bigger engagements a lot better than the earlier versions of the game, even at Oct. 2008 levels. There's a few kinks I still have to iron out, but I haven't finished reading the sticky up here where I'm guessing most questions were already fielded.
  7. Digging A New Beer...

Hahaha, I can't believe someone posted Zywiec! I do enjoy that beer.
  8. Happy Birthday Veltro2k

    Felix Natalis Tibi!
  9. Digging A New Beer...

Yuengling is my standard, but my current favorite is from Middle Ages Brewing Co (based right here in Syracuse): "XIII Anniversary," referred to as an Imperial Wheat it's 9.5% ABV...doesn't take too much to get on your way! Another good 'un, pretty complex, is "Three Philosophers" by the Ommegang Brewery (9.8%ABV, Quad.) EDIT: Well, looks like XIII is limited to in-house tap...come to think of it, I've never seen it bottled before, always had it from a growler.
  10. Hit the (default) Print Screen button and you'll take a photo. That's about as close as you'll get, considering that even on actual RECCE missions, you don't normally see the photos you just took until well after you've landed (not sure if that's true of the TARPS CD or other newfangled systems).
  11. Lookin' good, Erwin. Love the glass cockpit!
  12. External Hard Drives

I got a WD "My Book" er something, 750GB, it's been reliable, I just don't like to leave it on for too long 'cause it heats up with constant use (it does take a while, but I just keep it off if I don't need it on.) They work pretty simply: by plugging them into a USB port they'll show up as another hard drive.
  13. Given the parties involved, I'm going to guess it's either a MiG-29 or B-1. Then again, I'm usually wrong.
  14. Awesome! Thanks to everyone involved in bringing the -107 to life!
  15. Welcome Home EricJ

    Welcome Home! <S!>
  16. I'm guessing just like the current F-35A Mod, project the HUD right on the front windscreen. EDIT: You can actually see it in the video on page 3.
  17. When there's a Tomcat in the air, it behooves you to be somewhere else. When there's an Eagle in the air, it behooves you to do the same. When there's a Tomcat AND an Eagle in the air, it behooves you not to leave the runway...
  18. Hey all, I was wondering if I missed something, or if anyone else noticed this but: After completing my new computer, I've got WoI running and after adding the F-35A, EF-2000 and JAS-39C, I could not get the program to recognize the new Gundata.dat. No matter what I did, following the instructions, modifying gundata.ini, saving, deleting gundata.dat and re-saving, etc. the game just would not recognize the modified .dat file. All of my standard guns were showing up (M61A1, GAU-8, etc.) but the BK-27 and the GAU-22 simply would not show in-game. Well, eventually after looking at the GunEditor.ini file, I noticed the import directory was /Objects/, so just shy of pulling out my hair trying to get the darn guns to work, I copied and pasted gundata.dat into the Objects folder and the Objects/Aircraft folder, just to see what would happen, and lo and behold the guns became usable in-game! So my question is; was there a post about where to put gundata.dat before, or has anyone else run into this problem before? Or is it as I suspect, that Vista has gained sentience and is messing with my head?
  19. How I managed to miss that for the past 3 years is beyond me! Thanks, Wrench.
  20. NATO includes the United States and therefore USAF, USN, USMC and USA(rmy). With the designators I didn't know the AIM-7 changed from USAF/USN to NATO myself, but it hasn't been missing on my aircraft.
  21. It's really looking Sierra Hotel, guys. Keep up the good work!
  22. Ever been in an accident?

"My two-wheeled vehicle, having gained sentience, decided that it wanted to drive itself and thereupon ejected me through the use of excessive break pressure" would roughly describe the only accident I've had in the terms of the above examples (~7 years ago). Fortunately, I flew left instead of right (no object vs. hard object in ejection path.)
  23. Happy Birthday

    Happy Birthday, all!
