  2. Flying Merc Camp. ALL HARD settings. How do I know what weapon is selected beyond hitting Backspace or |/\? It gets kind of frustrating dumping (2)1000lbs when I thought I was firering 2 3" Rocks. I've looked around the cockpit, but don't see any switches changing or anything.
  3. Wrench, I'm not looking for extra work. It appears that perhaps I've spoken too soon as a SF2 noob. I still don't fully understand the purpose of userlist.ini, should I worry about "holding up my show". cocas, Thanks, I DO understand Nations.ini from SF1, and I was thinkining THIS same sort of thing should be added to SF2 in the Userlist.ini...maybe not. am I off base or what?

  5. Do the fictional nations of Dhirmar and Paran need be included in the userlist.ini for an aircraft? If they don't then i don't need to make ALL Aircaft available to ALL nations. But, if I get down the road with a campaign that's using early varients of aircraft, before they were "Exported" in any campaign and i run into this ini limitation I thought i'd head it off at the pass by placing a completed, all inclusive INIs in each AC folder.

  9. In this case I'm using SF1 default Desert terrain. I've reviewed both articles in the KB "Intermediate Modding" regarding Adding Cvs and I don't see any referance to "desert_types.ini". Link 1 to KB Link 2 to KB What goes in the *_Types.ini? and can we update the KB to reflect?
  10. No. But the Nimitz CV 68, worked in 1959. 1959 A-4b taking off with F-18s on the Deck standing by. I'll locate and annotate Desert_Types.ini with the CVs-11 and 14 and see what happens.
  11. Is there a way to fix the bug where I'm not able to buy more than one of any particular aircraft? the bug also randomly loses Aircraft and adds Aircraft, usually by factors of 1. By "fixing" the campaign so that I fly two or three sorties a day, we run out of AC rapidly. but there's pleny of money, where I could buy 4-6 new airplanes, but once I buy one, it's no longer available.

  13. It appears to me that setting MissionRate= to less than one equals 1. that is to say, you can't fly more than one sortie per day. IS THIS CORRECT? Thanks.
  14. Well, this will probably get me banned, but Misty FAC, I agree with you 100%, If I was a coder I'd do it myself. Based on conversations I've had with several serious programers, the only reason the developer doesn't do decent multi-player for the SFX/WOX simulations is that he either doesn't know how, and is unwilling to figure it out (Which I doubt) or is busy with other more lucritive activities, or simply too lazy. Personally I think a Hosted Semi-Persistant "Terrain" with Targets, AI Squadrons roaming around, and players on both sides would put this series into the Top Rung, triple sales, and the lack of this kind of MP is what is slowly killing it. A frustrating shame.
  15. I've noticed this happens with squadrons that begin later when the campaign schedule set in the first part of the campaign1_data.ini is agressive. [CampaignData] StartDate=09/01/1959 StartDateDeviation=0 ForceWithInitiative=2 MaxMissions=150 NormalMissionRate=0.5 NormalMissionRateDeviation=0.2 OffensiveMissionRate=0.3 The War happens in a hurry, and if the unit begins a week or two later, the baddies take ground, but the squads still start at the designated field.
  16. Hey, inspired by the alleged attempt to create a future Burning Sands that is only the two arab countries. I set about having the original campaign start with some lesser aircraft Mig15, Fj-3m, Tu4, B-26 with the standard aircraft being premium. I haven't tested whether this will work, but right off the bat, I threw in two more merc SOC squadrons. They show up, the AC assigned in the Camp.ini and CampData.ini are incorrect. I gave the 2nd SOC the A4b and the Third SOC the FJ-3M, they got the F100 and the A1H!? Also assigned us to the Roayl Good Guy Nation Squad. Any thoughts let me know, thx.
  17. SFP1: Howdy. Looks like I've gotten some squadrons that more closly represent US Flight capable forces in 1959. I've set 436 TFS to upgrade from the F-100 to the F-104A per thier squadron history. I've left the other AF Squadrons alone, so far... Added VF-154 Black Knights the first to be operational with the F-8C. Other changes include a second SOW (Merc) squadron in F-86F-40s. The First SOW is starts out in FJ-3Ms. In testing, I've discovered a couple of issuses. One with the Navy Squadron VF-33 "Astronauts" flying the F11F1 Tiger. This is a great fighter as long as you have some team players and keep it FAST. Unfortunatly, the AI just can't seem to do that...although, I'm thinking, because I've noticed, this little bitch will depart controlled flight (spin) if you give it a good YANK on the stick at any speed, I'm sure the AI is at a lose since I lost 9 of 12 planes to unrecovered spins fighting in Mig15sBIS. Grumble. Is there an Aircraft data setting I can modifiy? Also, I originally went with the F9J Cougar for the 2nd SOW and a Marine Squadron. But it appears the model won't load a MK82 (500lb?) on the Right(I think) outside hardpoint. This is annoying enough to remove the plane, but I'd like to know, if I'm doing something wrong, or is there a quick tweek? Any advise is appreciated. Thanks.

  19. Is there any plan or does the SP2 series have anything resembling a coop or mult-player campaign?
  20. Welcome back. I'm still running SFP1 and for some odd reason I've been obsessed with building many of the campaigns I've thought about over the years, for the past couple, three weeks or so. I too wonder, is upgrading and getting on the DLC treadmill (Like ROF) worth it.
