  1. Flak in WOV

    seen my wingman been taken out by it aswell , probally was aiming for me while my wingman was flying a bit higher.
  2. hum noticed something i can overtake certain missles with it, not been succesfull yet it letting myself be hit by one though. (done with mavericks) unrelated: been fooling around with mavericks u can actually shoot down enemy planes with them just takes alot longer. Also shot down a plane with an cruise missle XD
  3. Flak in WOV

    the flak always seems to aim high of the target. when i get flak its always above my plane, when i climb to get to the flak it rises with the plane.
  4. Having alot of fun flying it, the speed is nice at 1000 knots from 100 feet to 100.000 in one run. XD also funny let an enemy plane follow me to the ground pulled up sharply he couldnt :D. Flying off after that little stunt killed the plane for some reason (it just exploded)
  5. Dont know a solution but it looks like to me the cockpit viewpoint is to low. I see part of the wing maybe the side views actually look into the wings instead of over them.
  6. well it needs an texture first and probally some tweaking, so not soon i bet. i like the helicopters in game, wish somebody would make an apache (hint hint ) And add some hellfire missles so we dont use the mavericks on the heli's.
  7. i like that tiger one alot, any chance u do simulair tiger ones for differnt planes? (the more modern planes that are out for woe)
  8. looks like to me that it cant find a texture for it, check the ini if it has texture lines.
  9. .rar and .zip are archive files u need to extract using winzip and winrar. winzip is in windows by default. winrar u can find on www.rarlabs.com installation instructions u can find in the readme's that are included in the files. for further help just ask here.

  11. first select it then use the fire and secondary fire button (note secondary button aint binded by default) to aim press F2
  12. hey people, i have a small problem with this aircraft: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...mp;showfile=919 zoomed in close everything is alright, looks beautiful and all. But zoomed out i get this: how exactly do i fix this?
  13. reinstalled same problem, it happens if you zoom out at a certain range of zoom it turns into that. is there a line somewhere that says wich model to use at certain range?
  14. slight bump, id really like to know how i can fix this, its funny at first but now it just annoying.
  15. its true that most effects kill systems quicker then poly's. The lightning effects that most of the new game engines have are pure performance killers. Also other effects like particles really kill systems fast.(in woe if i put everything on high and fire the onboard cannon for more then 2 secs i get a slideshow) Game developers mostly make lower poly models because of the amount of them on the screen, in a flightsim u wont see (well most of the time) hunderds of the same object at the same time. So people make high poly models to increase the amount of detail of the model(i dont mind that at all tbh). But as an example i take gta:sa i installed a custom model that was about 60.k of poly's, 1 of them on the screen no problem but as more and more of them come in screen the gpu has to do alot of calculations. Ofcourse this also depends on the system u have. I have an old crappy system so it wont handle that much poly's that easy, but the new generation of video cards can handle it with ease. id say go on with the model and dont mind me (im just annoyed that i dont got enough money for a new system XD)

  17. not true its the polycount first (btw dont count the poly's count the tri's (if somebody asks for polycount u say the tri count(i know bit confusing but thats how it is ) Why do u think game creators dont put in tons of poly's in their characters ? Because computers cant handle that. Texture slowdowns happen if the model has been skinned on loads of big uvmaps, also certain light effects that are being aplied to the texture by the game engine slow things down.

  19. How many tris is that? dont know the limit in strike fighters, but some of the curves look ridicolously high poly.
  20. Hey people, some of the addon aircraft i downloaded dont appear in the fly list at all, what can i do to check in the folders if everything is alright? example the mi-24 hind installed like all the others but wont show in the list, also the same with the hercules. (talking about woe)
  21. probally fixed te folders now some where named with a _ instead of a - . Also does it look for upper and lower case? also about the cockpit i have some planes that dont seem to have a cockpit but they do load.

  23. Hey people, Recently saw woe in the stores decided to buy it, since i already had sfp1. Been a while so i dont really know exactly if im missing something. Installed the weapon pack, the patch and some custom planes. Also changed the dates so i can use all the weapons. But now on certain planes like the F14 some missles wont fire at all, loaded up phoenix missles and sidewinders. The sidewinders launched just fine but the phoenix missles wouldnt fire at all, i remember from sfp1 that they worked just fine. it could be that im missing something or keep forgetting something, it also happens on the mirage (the blue french missle(excuse me that i dont know all the names from my head ) Good to see that combat ace is back up, now bring the files back and im even more happy. :) anyway if somebody knows what might be causing the missle problem please tell.

Doing some arcadish dogfighting mostly, need a new system before i can go simming again, basicly doing the standard target lock that works with sidewinders and the other missles just targeting and fireing. Do i need to do a checklist before i can fire phoenix missles in woe? since the just target and fire worked in sfp1?
