Optional Cloud Mod 4.0 Update
Becker02 replied to BuckeyeBob's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
Hi @BB, here 2 pictures in campaign-mode to show of what we have talked via PM (BH&H2 1.17, OCM 4.0Beta Build 2): Bad weather around and clouds with high sun-reflection at the same time (first picture). Greetings! -
WOTR GPU Tuner Patch, FM Tweaks, etc.
Becker02 replied to VonS's topic in WOFF/WOTR - FAQ/Technical Issues
Hallo @VonS, only short info: I downloaded both (TunerPatch for WOTR and EnhancementPatch for WOFF) and I could see after I have unzipped that there es no parent-folder (with the name of the mod) in both mods. So I fear new member could do mistakes with the installation. Greetings! -

Thanks @Pol, I did forget to mention the random-factor. Greetings

Hmm ... . I believe, it is not so difficult (I mean Default, not Mission Editor) IMHO: All flights are being generated from the system, they are AI-flights. If you change a flight-property during your mission manually (f.e. "sometimes I jump to the next waypoint ... after I get to the first waypoint but before reaching full altitude"), the system with all AI-flights "doesn't know" your manually changed altitude and "doesn't react"- with all possibilities / consequences for your own flight. All can happen ... and nothing. You don't know it. I like it, because it is closer to a realistic atmosphere! Please correct me, if it is wrong! Greetings

@WW1 Flying Ace, my recommendation: I have flown my first WOFF, United Edition, the first weeks without mods. At first because I have payed for it, so I want to know the default-sim. At second to recognice after this time, which things I would like to improve. And then I have looked which mods exist and which are my favourites. And then you must test the mods via JSGME. The following thread includs no mod-recommendations but only BH&H2-mods. Maybe it is a little help for you. Optional Cloud Mod 4.0 Update
Becker02 replied to BuckeyeBob's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
Hallo @BB, if I look at the three pictures I would like to say "very good" and at first sight the new thick haze is top. I have your cloud-mod in use since WOFF-UE. It is a "must have - mod" on my WOFF-system. So I'm sure you will do a great work again. The quality of your clouds, the big number of cloud-variations and the very good 8/8 overcast without a "blue hole" over you are simply first class and an absolute enrichment to simulate real skies in my opinion. Greetings! -
And WW2 was the big arena, such a potential for WOTR, ... WOW! Greetings

Haha @catch, you are right! "... 15 years. If I can." is the absolut decisive criterion (grandpa-smiley)!! Greetings

Ha, the good old RedBaron 1 with the "Piff-Paff"-Explosions! Already in those days with much ideas and with the first feeling of the typical RedBaron-Atmosphere from the subsequent RedBaronsII/3D. Greetings!

AI-Landing on airfield Le Clos Ferme/Boncourt, Marne with crashes
Becker02 posted a topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
Hi all, BH&H2, Version 1.13, no mods. I have transferred my PE-campaign to BH&H2: Jasta 15, Juni 2017, Alb DIIIEarly, airfield Le Clos Ferme/Boncourt in Marne. I did realize that the AI-Pilot landed with crashes every second / third mission. It happened with my own aeroplane and also with the squadron-aeroplanes. Sometimes it is a collision, sometimes a full crash with the typical brown spot. And additionally, when I click on „details“ after the mission, all is okay, all pilots all machines! To be sure, I looked into the settings, but all was okay: „Outcomes – normal“, „Invincible – off“. To analyze this AI-landing-problem I started at first a complete new test-campaign with an other year, other Jasta, other aeroplane, other airfiled and the AI-pilot worked withouit mistakes during landing. „Okay,“ I thought, „the system / installation is okay, it seems.“ Now I started the second new test-campaign , but exactly with the base-data from my transfered PE-campaign with the landing-problems (see above); Jasta 15, Juni 2017, Alb DIIIEarly, airfield Le Clos Ferme/Boncourt, Marne. And … 3 full landing-crashes with AI-pilot on the second mission! My aeroplane was only a brown spot and also two other aeroplanes. I could not get into my virtual cockpit (so I’m dead normally) but after the mission „details“ have shown, that all machines, all pilots were okay. So it was my conclusion, that my transferred PE-campaign ist not the problem. Maybe the airfield? So I started the third test-campaign: same time (Juni 2017), Alb DIIIEarly and DII, but an other airfiled (Vivaise, Marne ) via Jasta 1. That is full action. More than 10 birds started and landed and the AI-pilot … worked perfectly! No collisions, no crashes during landing. So my result is, that maybe the airfield Le Clos Ferme/Boncourt, Marne is the source for this problem. Is it possible? Thanks for answer and Greetings! -
AI-Landing on airfield Le Clos Ferme/Boncourt, Marne with crashes
Becker02 replied to Becker02's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
Hallo, short info: I have made a new installation and again the test-campaign as the double from my transferred PE-campaign (see above: Jasta 15, Juni 1917, airfield Le Clos Ferme/Boncourt in Marne, ranking Rittmeister). And ... all is okay! I don't know the cause for the AI-crashes, but I can't imagine that the few mods, I have tested before, were involved. Because I could recognice the problem only on this airfield I suspect more my transferred PE-campaign. But I only suppose it, I have no proof. Greetings and have a nice weekend! -
AI-Landing on airfield Le Clos Ferme/Boncourt, Marne with crashes
Becker02 replied to Becker02's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
Hallo @Pol, during the test no mods. In the past ... difficult to say, because I have tested some mods. Maybe only a new installation is the right way. I must think about it. Thanks for your answer and Greetings! -
AI-Landing on airfield Le Clos Ferme/Boncourt, Marne with crashes
Becker02 replied to Becker02's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
Thanks for answers so far! After my test-campaigns (see first post) the interesting thing is, that the AI-Landing-Problem seems to have a relation to the airfield. Only Le Clos Ferme/Boncourt I have seen it. The AI-Landing on the airfields of the other test-campaigns were okay. Hallo @catch, to avoid misunderstandings: we talk about problems with the AI-Landing for ALL machines of your flight, not only the pilot-AI (and only the AI lands the other machines). And I never have seen landing-crashes from the AI with UE and PE before. Greetings! -

Hallo @Von S, Thank you very much for your info! I'm going to update the mod-list for PE on SimHQ the next days with your result. For BH&H2 I haven't added the @Xjouve-mods, because I have no info from him. And you are right: you can't host the mods without permission. Greetings! -

7 new ideas: Exisiting features + "Allocation of aeroplanes": should be possible only if you are a squadron-leader + Change of waypoints in briefing-menu: you must be a flight- or squadron-leader => CONCLUSION: a setting-buttom in workshop, that you can change the flight-formation, allocation of aeroplanes and the waypoints only by rank (flight- or squadron-leader) + "Normal claim": That you can use separate witnesses for every claim after a mission, if you have more than 1 claim; additionally ballons and ground units as witnesses. + "Normal claim": the problem is, that the claim-system is very complicated and for the user it is not clear how it works. It's like a black box. So the user doesn't understand the decision from the system. He gets the feeling of good / bad luck. Some members think, it is random, an algorithm (I don't know). So this setting should be more clear, more transparent, or equiped with a new special feature to make your "normal claim". + Sometimes your flight-fellows have a crash when they land on the airfield. You see always a full destruction of the aeroplane with the "brown hole" on the ground. So you believe the aeroplane has been destroyed and the pilot is dead. But then, if you click on "details" after the mission, you can read, that the aeroplane has beeen only damaged and the pilot is okay. Maybe it is possible to display these ground-crashes on the airfiled with differences as you can see it during the missions. + that the rivers don't flow uphill + a more intensive blue colour for the sky for autumn- and winter-terrain because of low temperatures and humidity. The sky in WOFF is more a blue-grey mixture, typical for summer with higher temperatures and humidity. New features + Disciplinary Proceedings (it's not the centre of a WW1-flightsim, but it was reality). Examples: you have a collision with a fellow, have hit a fellow with your bullets, have hit the wrong ground-unit or the wrong convoy with your bombs, or your flight is starting and you are staying on ground, ... . An official report from your chief or an officiell investigation with all historical-possible results (acquittal, file-informed warning, disciplinary proceedings, penalty transfer, degradation, court martial, etc.) would be a enriching feature in my opinion. Of course it must be possible with the system. Greetings!

... or do you mean the stick-software to program the buttoms? Sorry, then I have no idea, because I have plug & play (maybe new installation after uninstall and registry-check with Ccleaner?). Greetings
-
@zoombiewoof, I have a 12-buttom-stick too. I open WOFF key binding in workshop and after binding of the first 8 buttoms I mark the next function I want to bind, then I press buttom 9. WOFF does recognice it as the other 8 before. And so on till buttom 12. Greetings

Hallo @Dornil, I haven't seen any information from the modder about the compatibility of this mod in relation to PE or actual for BH&H2. On Sandbaggers Website the mod is for UE. And I don't use it, neither with BH&HII nor with PE before, so I can't say anything about it. If you ask me, try to contact the modder (maybe via E-Mail in the readme?) or open a special thread with your question for all. Greetings -
Hallo @Trooper117, IMHO after such a long time it is good to make the "Status quo" of the sim. Which features need to / should be improved? Which new features are possible and useful for the existing BoB? And then, as a second step, maybe a new campaign. Greetings
