  1. Wow, totally forgot about that one. I still have the PSD files but the actual finished textures are gone. I'll put it back together when I can get some free time, probably next month when I get back from Japan.

    Okay, now what do you do if you get the error, "Unable to create for writing!" every time you hit save?
  3. I'm building a campaign from scratch, new nations and everything. Plus all new insignias. So I downloaded the Tornado pack and removed all national markings from the texture files, then put decals on for insignia. The problem is, the insignia that shows up seems to be random instead of what I set. Or at least, it will put the insignia of the plane's nation (from the data file) on my bird, but then my wingmen get random insignias, (UK, France, etc.) Has anybody run into this before?
  4. Thanks Sony, I didn't realize Decal Levels had such an effect. Changed the levels to 0 on the insignia and now they show up fine. Thanks for the help.
  5. 6600 GT is also worth the price, but if you can get a good price on the 6800 GT go for it.
  6. I once made a very simple 3D model viewer. Unfortunately it was only compatible with .x, .3ds, and .b3d type model files. I never incorporated textures either but I don't think it would have been much harder. I looked at the model files for Strike Fighters aircraft, and with my limited experiance, couldn't really concoct anything that would be plausible.
  7. Okay, I've been trying to had a playable mercenary force into the OTC mod but it never seems to work out. I want the mercenary force to be on the Cuban side. I've modified both the campaign .ini files but every time I start a campaign with the merc squad it just either defaults to the first USAF squad or it goes to a Soviet IL-28 squad. I've played around a lot with the .ini's but nothing seems to work. Even got the mercenaries to the point where they're on the US side, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get them on the Cuban side. I've made the red forces friendly and that seems to make no difference. Any tips or advise are welcome.
  8. I purchased the downloadable version of SFP1 from the Strategy First website after I couldn't find it anywhere locally. The version number is 11.05.04 which I beleive is Service Pack 3. So I downloaded patches 3.1 and 3.2 to update the game, but when I run 3.1 I get the message "The file c:\program files\strategy first\strike fighter - project 1\flightsim.exe is not a valid previous version and could not be upgraded." So, what am I to do? Also, the download version seems to install to a different directory then normal versions because I always need to change the install path, even on the official addon aircraft.

  10. Ah, of course. I installed SP3, and then 3.1 and 3.2 installed fine. Strange though, since it was the same version number.
  11. Hello all. Honestly, the mercenary aspect of Strike Fighters is my main interest in the game. I've been going through the .cat files and the campaign files and as of yet am unable to find any reference to the pricing system used in the game. The reason I'm looking for such a thing is because I'd like to add aircraft to the default campaign for a mercenary pilot to buy. Does anyone have any ideas how to go about this? Thanks in advance. :)
  12. Ah, of course I see that now. Any ideas on changing the price of the aircraft? I assume it uses some value from the aircraft to formulate a price.
