I am bored!!!!! I need a new flight sim
GhostDog replied to firehawkordy's topic in General Flight Sim Discussion
BF1942 is a great game for blowing things up - i play it a lot again now when i need to relax from simming. The many mods make it an extremely varied experience. Take a look at my "supermod" topic in in the BF1942 section. If it has to be si i would say that its never too late to get into IL2 - get it along with the Aces Expansion Pack. Many hours of fun there. It feels great. Good flightmodels. An because these planes dont have advanced avionicsthat stops yoiu fram getting kills with less than 15 hours training time in each plane you will want to try out the different planes. Overall graphics is better in LoMAc but IL2 has some things like water going for it. Also dammage models are great. -
NP - i hope you sort it out

As i said: Its not forbidden. It was just meant as a suggestion to get more views and responses.

Hey Archer. Great pics you post but you should really post some of them in the "Pub" when they are not LoMac specific. Its not not a big nono or anything - its just that your pics like these might be of interest to some who play other sims and dont bother to check the LoMac boards :)

Thats too bad. The ultimate last resort is of course to post in the Saitek Forum There is actually a couple of helpful people there
-
In all games or in one specific game? If you havent tried it check it out in more game than one. In the test window (calibration) does it seem to respond as it should? The middle of the cross should reach the edges of the box - or at least close to - if it does you stick and drivers works fine and its a game problem

It looks like we are more popular than we thought B) .. MJ and i are in the proccess of moving the files to a new server to ease the load -
Everything worked fine until yesterday evening. Now i keep getting this error that you see in the attached picture. I have tried making a new log book via "options" menu but then it just says exactly the same about the new file

If we cant find a solution we could start a support group instead

The "Omaha beach" map (seperate dl) alone is worth this the DL time of the entire mod. This map is MUCH bigger than the stock map. When you spawn as allied in the landing crafts you have to avoid hitting the mines laid out along the beach. There is some 10 sniperrifles or so scattered around the huge map (all different models) so there isn't free sniping for all. Working your way across the beach, planting some explosives by the doors to the bunkers to get in and slowly but painstakingly taking each flag one by one is much more rewarding than the stock map. My new favourit weapon is the allied support rifle. Dont try to shoot it standing up though.

hmm.... just take it easy on the weapon sounds pack for now: This just came to my attention. It seems that some of the sounds in the weapon mods install in the wrong directory. -
LUA is a prgramming language. For a closer look go to www.lua.org. LUA functions has been implemented in the the 1.02 version of LoMac. That means that data can exported out of LoMan while the simulation is running and be picked up by other applications. A small program has allready written that can show you the altimeter on another computer. This might not at first look so super hot but check out Carl "Stormin" Norman comment: ... The most obvious use of LUA in LoMac is perhaps the possibility to hook LoMac up to gauges and all that other virtual cockpit gear we all have these kinky dreams about ;)

its pretty straight forward: LoMan creates a folder called "addons" where you dump the different mods likie skins and sounpacks etc.. I have a shortcut on my desktop where i just drag the zipfiles to. Then you run LoMan and choose "add-on manager". YOu can now see a list of the mods in addon folder with a desccription on the right, perhaps a screenshot and an "install" and an uninstall" button. Green are installed - red are not installed.... easy -

A-10 cockpit help
GhostDog replied to Oakster's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series Modding/Skinning Chat
Hi Instructor and welcome to BIohaz I tried searching Dice's site but there is only one pic there of the cockpit and in that angle more or less- and that is pretty low res. I tried taking it through photoshop as well to see if i i could bring out more texture in it but there wasn't enough info to do much good -
I just tried 3 or 4 of these maps... highly recommendable
