  1. I've been trying to find some three-views of the different Japanese weapons ever since the KAI-project but I've never been able to find any which probably proves I'm not veyr good and internet research ;)
  2. The 'Viper Zero' as the pilots of the JASDF have taken to calling this aircraft has a larger wing, tailplane and air intake than an F-16 along with a three-peice canopy (instead of the 1-piece we are use to) and a NATO F-16 style drog-chute fairing as well as a wider nose for the Mitsubishi Electronics AESA phased array radar. As far as weapons options they are specifically designed and wired for the Type 80 and Type 92 anti-ship missiles (we call them ASM-1 and ASM-2) as well as Type 90 air to air missile (AAM-3) which is based off the AIM-9 and Japanese percision guided bomb packages the centering around the CGS-1 IR seeker head. Unfortunately unless USAFMTL and company have a treat planned for us, we won't be able to take advantage of the Japanese weapons fits, since as far as I know non of them exhist at the moment in the Weapons Pack. Still, for the Viper lovers among us, this is a wonderful treat indeed to go along with the XL we got earlier :D
  3. The FRS2 was an add on made before even the 'hud workaround' was introduced if I remember correctly, it has never been updated to 'current' standards. It has been a long time since I've played around with INIs but I think that this one might be possible to add current tech huds with a little work but don't quote me on that, or as if I'll ever have time. Plus you would need permission from the original author.
  4. Nope, he was talking about the ATSI, it was if I remember right a research aircraft designed to test post-stall maneuverability applications, it had 'downward' pointing canards on the chin intake. Early artists impressions also had the JASDF's Mitsubishi F-2A Viper Zero, a F-16 derivitive (new wing as well as other differences from the basic Viper) also included these canards but it was later revealed that the Viper Zero would not have these. The Lavi was actually a aircraft that came very close to production in Israel till poltical pressure forced the cancellation of the project (we ended up giving them more Viper airframes to help compensate) but was used as an advanced technology demostrator after the cancellation of the project.
  5. I donno, maybe I'm doing something wrong:) laptop dosen't have SF on it and the desktop is 70 miles away.
  6. *bonks Dave on the head good naturedly* silly USAFMTL :D:D:D:D Maybe I am, I don't have my desktop with me at the moment so I can't test it again:) Like I said I'm most likely nitpicking, also I fly on Hard so....:)
  7. *ONLY* problem I've run into is just a nitpick, was flying a strike mission and when I dropped a GPU it rolled to the opposite side that it should IE it rolled to the side of the aircraft that no longer had the weapon, instead of the side that still had one. Donno if that's an FM fix or not though That is a nitpick though its a great aircraft!
  8. I've got no problems with that at all :)
  9. Probably gonna sound silly for someone who's been around for a while but I DIl'd the Big Belly and the B-52F to add to my SFP1 files to give my russian birds something to intercept. Unfortunately there are no actual models. Do you have to have B-52 files from WoV to make these work?
  10. Hmm, looks like I'm doing some CAB diving tonight then...
  11. Sorry I've been out of contact for the last couple days, its' excellent Hrnt, especially considering these patterns ave never been worn by a Hornet!:)
  12. Blue Angel crash

From the reports I've been able to find it sounds like he took a bird at the end of the demonstation.
  13. Well, remember most of their members are either French or Belgium (Sony I think is Belgium, I apologize if I am wrong Sony!). Think of C6 as the 'French Language' companion to this site. We english speakers use this site for the majority of our SF needs, the French speaking community uses C6. There is a lot of cross-over but still often times C6 and CombatAces actually host a lot of the same files so there really isn't much use for them to spend the extra time to do a duplicate site in English for those of us that took another language in high school. :)
  14. F-35A

Silly question (because you've probably already said it and I have completely missed it) is the a model of the X-35 or the F-35, because I think (JSFAggie's gonna probably very rightfully correct me if I'm wrong) the 'production' F-35s have 'narrower' intakes than the X-35. I hope that doesn't sound like a nit-pick and please don't take it as 'destructive criticisms' I'm also one of the ones waiting to see this model finished.
  15. F-35A

I think the hud is going to be projected into the Pilot's helmet, either that or its like the F-14 projected on the forward glass.
  16. Man, just leve being late to the party, I'm looking forward to this one, both as something to fly, and finally getting a decent heavy bomber target for 'late' era red intercepts.
  17. I think Marcello himself is working on the -38

  22. St. Louis, 1960 McDonald Douglas Aircraft Corporation proudly rolled out their newest design for the US Navy and United States Marine Corps today, the new F3H-4 "Super Demon" light interceptor. Based on the trobled F3H-2 "Demon" All Weather Interceptor, the Super Demon has benifited greatly from the company's F4H program. Improvements include replacement with the much troubled and sorely under-powered J-71 engine with the newest varient of the General Electric J-79, two of which power the F4H. Air inlets have also been enlarged to help feed this enormous and powerful engine. There is also a new radar with slightly improved capabilities, along with the replacement of the two 20mm Mk12 cannons with a single 20mm Vulcan gatling-class gun. The Super Demon's main competition is the Vought F8U "Crusader" which has a similar mission profile. McDonald Douglas is sure that their newest fighter is everything the Navy wants however there is quite a bit of anxiaty expressed by Naval Aviators over this new fighter. The original Demon was seen as an aircraft more dangerous to its pilot than the enamy, and it will take quite a bit of convincing to prove that this new version is a completely different aircraft. This aircraft is something that has been simmering in my mind ever since FoxMonter, C5 and all the others involved released the original aircraft. I have come across several references that state that there actually had been plans to re-equip the Demon with the J-79 and many who beleived that this engine change would have cured most, if not all the Demon's problems and turn it into a supurb fighter. History took a different turn, because the Navy got the wonderful F8U Crusader instead. This project is being initiated to see just what sort of aircraft the Navy would have gotten with a J-79 engined Demon. It is far from being ready to be released, but, I can already say that it is a better performer.
  23. I need to download the templates if they're still here on CA, need to figure out if I can care over that starboard gunport, dosen't look quite right with it having two gunports and only one gun firing...
  24. Next time, I dump it before I try to land on the carrier....
  25. column5

Sometimes it does that, just wait about thirty minutes and it will be fine.
