These forums don't change the font or the color when you hyperlink as they're active in my post. They work great on our forums. Here's the one for the Fair Use wording: And for my YouTube page: http://www.youtube.com/ruggbutt

You need (bare minimum) 128mb for your vid card. That's why the video is pooched. -

If you move to a country you abide by it's rules, regardless of your cultural heritage. I remember years ago some people moved in across the street from my father and butchered a goat on their back porch. The lady that lived next door freaked and called the cops. It was explained that you don't do that in a single family dwelling in town. They never did that again and didn't pitch a fit about it. Mainly because they wanted to become a citizen and be part of the populace. People that come to a country to live that don't want to assimilate deserve no perks nor no rights granted by that country's laws. You can't have it half way. That being said I hope prison time is in store for the parents and the "husband".

The SEALs had that figured out when they showed up on scene. The guys pointing the AK's at the dude who looked exactly like the captain were the bad men. I saw a story on the news tonite and the news interviewed a SEAL and he said the exact same thing I did. He said that in certain instances violence solves everything, this being one of them. He said there was no reason to negotiate and all that these people can understand is a bullet. This coming from a guy who has been operational in that part of the world just recently. The fact of the matter is that there are just some people in this world that need killing. It's not nice, it's not pretty nor does it make a lot of people feel good inside. But it's what needs to be done.

No need for interrogation. The guys holding the guns on the ships are the pirates. The corporations that own the ships disallow the crew to be armed for insurance reasons.
-
These are pirates. They have nothing to lose so you kill all of them and send a message for the next bunch.
-
Way to go, Navy! I'm saddened by the loss of life................................should have been more than 3 dead.
-
In 2001 I'd read about piracy picking up and thought seriously about getting a boat, arming it and offering myself out for hire to protect shipping. My friends thought I was out of my mind.

Medal of Honor Recipient, Ed Freeman, died last Wednesday at the age of 80, in Boise , ID ......May God rest his soul..... Imagine you're an 19 year old kid. You're critically wounded, and dying in the jungle in the Ia Drang Valley , 11-14-1965, LZ X-ray, Vietnam . Your infantry unit is outnumbered 8 - 1, and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away, that your own Infantry Commander has ordered the MediVac helicopters to stop coming in. You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns, and you know you're not getting out. Your family is 1/2 way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day. Then, over the machine gun noise, you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter, and you look up to see an un-armed Huey, but it doesn't seem real, because no Medi-Vac markings are on it. Ed Freeman is coming for you. He's not Medi-Vac, so it's not his job, but he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire, after the Medi-Vacs were ordered not to come. He's coming anyway. And he drops it in, and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 2 or 3 of you on board. Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire, to the Doctors and Nurses. And, he kept coming back.... 13 more times..... And took about 30 of you and your buddies out, who would never have gotten out. Thanks for your service Ed. You were a hero.

Where I might find Flaming Cliff

Starbucker, it's also available at Fry's Electronics. -
At least they got how the throttle works in those movies. If I see Maverick say "I'm putting on the brakes" one more time as he pulls the stick back and jams the throttle forward I'll scream. I miss Chappie.

I'd like to bring my own BBQ cooker:

Not sure if I can make it but I'm gonna see what I can do. I'd like a tour of your new place.

Cali and I went to Luke on Sunday. Had a good time and was wowed by the madskillz of the Raptor. Here's a few shots.
-
One of the guys I was with said (during the Raptor demo) "lets see a Sukhoi do that". We all laughed and enjoyed how truly amazing that aircraft is. I too grew up with Luke in my life. Grandpa is a Marine (22 years) and one of my earliest memories was of Luke. Gramps would take us with him and my Nana when they went grocery shopping at the base. I still remember "military milk". The white carton with the green lettering and the funky "Man from Uncle" type global map on it.

The way to stop it is to exit out of the game and restart. It will clear the memory cache. -
DCS Black Shark add on?
Ruggbutt replied to Madprof's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Black Shark is a standalone, and all you'll be able to fly is the chopper. -
Installing FC over Lock On v1.02 with mods?
Ruggbutt replied to Madprof's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Do yourself a favor, install Lock On fresh. A clean install. Run it for a minute. Don't patch it. Reboot and defrag. Install Flaming Cliffs. Run it for a few minutes. Reboot and defrag. Patch to 1.12a/b (a is XP, b is Vista). Reboot and defrag. If you do it any other way you'll eventually end up doing it the way I've laid out for you here. If you install over mods and everything else you'll have a corrupted install. -
I've been messing around with my sound card eq and low end crossover freqs to get the most out of it. I've finally got my sound dialed in and it works like a champ. I fly primarily Lock On/Flaming Cliffs and Black Shark. It's awesome with the chopper cuz you can feel the engine and blades just a little bit. Kinda how I can feel the engine run on my big block Chevy. When you're taxiing it's pretty cool too cuz you can feel the bump strips. So many of the vibrations are subtle, for instance from a cold start the APU on the Ka-50. With one of these units it all about the tweaking. Those of you who have TrackIR know what I mean. It takes weeks sometimes till you get your profile set exactly the way you like it. I'm happy I bought this unit, even though it wasn't cheap. It's rugged and it seems like it will give me hours of use. On a side note, some interesting stuff I didn't put in my review: My g/f loves to sit and watch me fly and listen to how our squad operates on Ventrilo. Last weekend she sat and watched for 2.5 hours. She asked me how I liked the new unit so I swapped chairs with her and flew the quick start mission in Black Shark. She thought it was so cool that she wants me to buy another shaker unit for her chair. I guess we can handle that.
