Is this about the greatest raid or the biggest balls? Ploesti was a complete failure in terms of resources being thrown away needlessly for all the reasons Dave listed. The 8th could only contribute positively to the destruction of Germany when they were able to keep their rate of attrition to a manageable number. I share Gepard's view. Moked and the start of Barbarossa. Both achieved their goals with high degrees of success.

Looking good. This map has lots of potential. I'm thinking with the right platforms that a 1950s-1980s recon flight campaign could be do-able. P-2s, RC-135s, EP-3s.... Very cool map. Am keeping an eye on this one.

Sweet. Dunno why, but the Kfir has always been one of those 'it' planes for me. Well, up to the C7 anyway. The C10 looks like it's had an awkward and unfortunate nose job. Pity.

+1 for installing in release order. You never know what is going to be overwritten with what. I've got a feeling that when you're doing something to change the game so much, a fresh installation is worthwhile anyway.

No chance of this being distributed as a torrent, is there? My post count isn't high enough to let me get 'em all in one foul swoop. :(

I keep it pretty simple - Cruise at 30k, pick a route that offers the least risk in terms of SAM and CAP engagement, and use terrain to mask my ingress from the IP to the target when I can. 150ft most of the way, if not lower. Pop up to 400ish on full burner at 3 miles, drop back down into the terrain and keep the speed up for the egress. Works for me most of the time, provided my bird is fast and full of fuel. I prefer the FGR.2, feels the fastest on the deck.
