Hi, I'm wondering what addon aircraft as well as addon inis for defualt and addon aircraft are considered the most realistic, I just downloaded the MiG-15 for SF2 today and was happy to find out it was very difficult to fly and felt very legitimate, it has a do not exceed speed, can go into flat spins etc if you're not careful, feels like an old jet fighter should. I know theres also a very well done MiG-17 flight model out there somewhere but thats all I know about.

Hello, I'm using the SU-15TM addon from this website. http://aerospace.boopidoo.com/ It works fine otherwise, and I imported the custom weapons, but when I use the radar the display does not work properly and is basically impossible to use at all, does anybody have a fixed ini for this? Thanks.
  3. I'm wanting to edit the roundel files to change all the countries. However, I can't seem to get the alpha channel to work right! :( I can get the alpha channel to not cut my new decals into the shape of the USA and Russian roundels, but now I just get a horrible white border around *everything* which is in these TGA files, edited or not. This is what my alpha looks like What I come up with. :( How do I prepare a TGA file to work properly using Photoshop CS2? I so need to get this work done quickly, and I'm stumped, stumped I tells ye. Thanks
  4. Hey, I want to set up airfield sides, so that a plane won't go and land on some airfield in the middle of enemy territory. Is this possible somehow? Also, how do I edit countries? I want to make an Ace Combat style war, with various aircraft attached to each side so you'll see F5's and TU-160's working together and such. Thanks!
  5. Awesome, thanks. That's like how I was doing it, but all the planes were in the mission, so a metal cloud of F-16Cs and F/A-18Cs flew over to enemy territory to take out extremely dangerous MI-17s. :P
  6. It was on it's final landing approach and got shot at. Perhaps I should put some BTRs around the base? They shoot at low flying aircraft. It's just that Shilkas and the like have such a large search radar area that it attracts everyone. :(
  7. What, so they won't bother landing there or to stop them surviving? I Just stuck a strela launcher at an airbase and an A10 still landed at it.

  10. Hi, I downloaded these planes from column5 today but when I went to test them out the radar display was broken to the point of being nearly unusable. Are there updated versions or a fix? And if not which values do I need to edit? I remember fixing a similar problem with the Su-15 but I can't remember how I did it.
  11. Not really fuzzy and green as much as tons of things are missing. Theres no scan bar, targets only seem to rarely pop up and I cant seem to lock them and get no visual indication when I'm trying to lock them. Is the version from column5 bugged?
  12. I noticed some of the custom maps like Israel seem to load and run better. The Arctic bering strait map runs nice as well as it doesn't have too many objects.
  13. Currently what is the best MiG-17 model, cockpit, and flight model available? I read on this forum that there was an excellent flight model done based on real USAF data but I can't seem to find it. Of course having a nice model and cockpit to use it on would be a plus as well.
  14. Thanks for the help, I'll also ask here as it is a similar aircraft. How about MiG-19 addons? Preferably the missile armed variants. I'm aware of the Pakistani F-6 which looks quite nice and I'm downloading it now.
  15. Any of these done or in progress? This is probably my favorite plane to fly in WoE but not having a proper cockpit is a bit of a downer.
  16. That is an excellent cockpit, one of the reasons I fly the SU-15 so much.
  17. It depends on the variants, but the MiG-23 is sort of in a funny position as it has no direct equivelent. It's a bit better than the F-4, although thats not a general thing and really matters on which F-4 and 23 variant you're looking at, but not quite as good as the F-16 and F-15, but when doing tests an F-16A pilot said the MiG-23 was roughly the same capability wise, sans AMRAAM of course. But it was no match for the F-15 unless its a later variant like the ML or MLD and its 4 or 5 MiGs vs 2 or so F-15s.
  18. You have to remember though that cold war MiGs were designed primarly as interceptors and dogfighters second. If the MiG-23 was to dogfight It was meant to do it from a ways out using look down shoot down etc rather than getting up and close. Although it is still a very nimble plane in a dogfight.
  19. Yeah, the MiG-23's cockpit was fairly similar to the MiG-21s to keep training to a minimum. Would it be possible to take a MiG-21 pit for WoE, remove the radarscope, and give it the radar on the HUD?

  21. Is there any way to enable things like takeoffs and landing, custom load outs, etc in multiplayer? The main thing I'm looking for is the takeoffs as they add a lot to the mission I think.
  22. Great work, nice to have proper inis for my favourite plane. All we need now is a proper cockpit.
