Holy crap, that's a lot of mods! Alright, I see that this is going to be a bigger project than envisioned! That's pretty exciting, really. I'd seen people reference the game's modding scene as a big selling point, but didn't realize it is this wide ranging. I can see why you'd ask me to narrow it down. I guess I'll give the file list a peruse and see what strikes my eye, hopefully that will help me narrow down the kinds of recommendations that I ask for.

Man, I have three or four versions of the White Album at this point! Anyway, I'm probably going to dive into SF2 soon, what are some of the best mods that you all use?

Thanks for pointing that out!! Now I just have to save my pennies, I somehow wasn't prepared for the price of the sim being what it is. C'est la vie, I hope the site stays up for a while. I know that SF2 is listed as being for Windows 7, but looking through these forums, it sounds like it really isn't that tricky to get it working on more modern Windows. I'm running on Windows 11, for what its worth.

Appreciate it! After a few practices with the training manual, I managed to get the plane flying without consulting it, but must have missed something as the plane lost power a couple minutes after taking off. Good thing I had made sure to check the keys for ejecting! Oh well, now to try again.

Totally fair, I didn't expect anyone knew more. I figured I'd ask to be sure, though. I guess that gives me plenty of time to practice my ramp starts in Falcon BMS, then!

Does anyone have the inside scoop on when the Third Wire website will be back up? I saw their post on bluesky from a month ago, saying the site was down, but I haven't seen anything since then.

Greetings! My long, confusing route through various genre hyper-fixation has lead me to deep dive into flight sims, and I saw Strike Fighters 2 recommended in various places. It appears that Third Wire's website is down (and has been for a little while!), but I figured I'd get set up here and start researching the overwhelming modding scene. Hopefully the game's site is back soon!
