  1. Thank you, Raven. For all your hard work. She's already my favorite to fly in the PTO.
  2. If it does turn out to be Stary's, that would be no surprise at all. He is an accomplished master.
  3. Why NK is a better place to live than the US

I like the "fattening the birds, so we can eat them" video, but they cut out all the cool parts where the people stuff the unsuspecting little feather balls into their mouths. If you're going to make a training video, at least make it complete, like the one from NK.
  4. I've been sticking their Waternormal.bmp into all my Pacific terrains. It is gorgeous. I have a couple of screenies in the screenshot thread (Corsair, Helldiver) that show it.
  5. Thanks, Wrench! @Amariani. I want 'em! I want 'em! Gorgeous! And this news flash from the Central Pacific. Our naval aviators struck Japanese naval forces west of the Marianas chain. One Japanese cruiser was reported sunk. Aircraft casualties on both sides were heavy. I'm even beginning to like bent wings... Nothing like your pinhead flight leader beating up the airfield while you're trying to take off. Just cause Chennault owes him back pay...
  6. Raven! Your P-40s are fantastic. And Wrench's skins. I haven't left the Pacific in days now. The kind of model and skins that beg for close ups! And here we are, heading out from Henderson to hit the Japs.
  7. Good catch, SupGen. Just tried it in my new Pacific WW2 mod folder. Works like a charm. I can't remember what sim it was, but I remember in the hanger you'd hear music, and guys banging things in the background (metal, etc.). Then, one would obviously bang his finger and cuss.
  8. CombatAce addiction?

Hear, hear, Stary. When I want to hear what intelligent people have to say, who share my interests, I come to CombatAce. When I want to hold my head in my hands and weep, I visit Facebook... @Eric. Your dedication to this community goes above and beyond, Eric. Thank you.
  9. FE2 update patch

Somehow, he's even managed to f*&^ up his own lods with this one, as per Wrench's post. His own stuff. All these separate installs, and I patched simply because someone said they were getting better framerates. I should have known better. My bad. I'm going back to Naval miniatures for a while. I'm tired of this crap.
  10. I think people don't mention anything over at 3W, because everyone gets ignored.
  11. Clear your browser cache. Worked for me.
  12. Got the bunker. And the KS-60. Failed to spot the ZSU.
  13. Roger that, Eric. At least he knows now that nobody here can help him.
  14. I may be wrong, but I think he's trying to tell everyone that he didn't purchase his copy from Thirdwire. If I've misunderstood, because of the language barrier, I apologize.
  15. I installed "Good morning Mr. Zip, Zip, Zip as my singlemissionscreen.wav in honor of these. Can't wait!
  16. Low Life Punks torture and kill pet duck.

Human trash. Trash is trash. You throw away trash.
  17. Remembering My Father...

Condolences to you and your family.
  18. What a way to go... The horror... The horror...
  19. Thanks for posting your system specs. I think your freezing problems might be due to your shared memory graphics chip, but someone with a lot more computer savy than I have is going to have to chime in. I do know that these sims can cause problems with shared graphics chips. I would highly recommend you try Gerwin's Iceland, because you seem to be able to run the other SF2 stock terrains, although you should look at lowering settings in your graphics options if you do. My system is a desktop with an i5 processor, a 1 gig dedicated video card, and 8 gigs of ram, but TK's Iceland is still a slide show on any decent graphics settings. It's unplayable. Gerwin's runs great on my system, because it works like the other stock SF2 terrains do. I'm sorry I can't help much, so some of our resident computer experts will have to chime in on this one.
  20. People here are going to need a little more info about your system in order to help you effectively; cpu, memory, graphics card, etc. I have a mid range system in modern terms, and I found TK's original Iceland Terrain unusable, so I downloaded this one: http://combatace.com...ge__hl__ gerwin It's a great, traditional style terrain, and it works. As far as your controls problems go, I usually get my controls set in one version of the sim, copy that controls folder into the other mods folders, and then make each file read only in its attributes, so the game can't copy them back. Hope some of this helps.
  21. FE2 update patch

I think what might be behind what TK is saying is that people tend to be unaware how interconnected things are within the sim. That's why he's adamant about patches breaking the mods. I don't think that TK can write just a few lines of code to change something without affecting other bits of code. That's why the history of Thirdwire sims has often been, patch fixed this, but broke that, with all the associated bitching sessions between patches. And once his patch has broken the mods, he's under no obligation to create another patch to fix them, because he didn't create them. He's already listened to this bombardment when he switched the SF series to SF2 about the number of mods he broke. His response then was, "I can't fix them, I didn't create them." But, go ahead and pester him until he does it. As someone pointed out, I don't have to download it. Just remember, that even little "minor" patches in the past have broken other things. "So stand to your glasses steady. This world is a tissue of lies. All the good ones have died already. Let's drink to the next man who dies..."
  22. Russo, you rock. And so do all your new 109s. Soon, I'll have one of these with a new canopy.
