  1. My personal aircraft needs an upgrade by Wrench and Fubar. Although, I am keeping my personal marking, because my "Sweet Sue" loves it.
  2. Personal aircraft

    From the album Heck's WOV

    The Bunnyman/Sweet Sue
  3. Heck's WOV

    Screenshots from my favorite sim
  4. This is why you folks are the best flight simming community, bar none. The news just gets better every day. I even downloaded and converted some top 40 fifties hits to use as menu music. Everything from Vaughn Monroe's version of Ghost Riders in the Sky to Phil Harris' The Thing (my options menu tune). If you can find that A, Dave, it would be perfection. Thanks for trying.
  5. DII skins MvR Boelcke

Thanks, Gambit. Another nice set of skins.
  6. Great videos, Fubar. Thanks for posting them. I've read about these flight characteristics all my life, but your flight models allow us to experience them in the sim. Can't wait to see the surprises. There's nothing like a P.I.O. close to the ground to get the old blood pumping, even if it's just virtual. I'm especially waiting to see your 86a. There's nothing like flight models from a master. And your Mig 15bis, as Wrench says in the readme, captures a very misunderstood aircraft to a tee. Now the Swords... And Wrench skins... Can it get better? Naaah...
  7. Considering the amount of time and effort you get for free from the generous modding members of the community, it rivals the old Red Baron 3d days. Like all the Thirdwire sims, it's a tinkerer's paradise. And the dogfights are always intense and difficult, with that wonderful moment when you realize "that chap's going down."
  8. I thought that's how they got little Albatrosses. Sorry. Couldn't resist. Glad you got it fixed, Gambit.
  9. DII skins

    Very nice, Gambit. Thank you.
  10. I don't find it either, Wrench. Just CVL folder. No CVL-29.
  11. I think they said a campaign is some distance down the road. I'm just glad they decided to release the parts, even though the complete package isn't even near done yet. You can see the effort and care they've put into everything for this mod, especially the flight models for the Sabre and Mig. You really feel you're flying an early transonic fighter with both these flight models. On a side note, Arthur. Have you downloaded the new speech package? It really adds a lot to the sim, if you fly Chinese, or Russian, Migs.
  12. He brought so much to the community of flight simmers. A truly great artist. As you said, you could see how much he loved the aircraft he portrayed. A great man, and a great loss...
  13. Thank You to all who have served!

Bless them. And bring them home soon...

Thanks, Stephen. For contributing so much of your time, and your talents. Love this bird. And all your others.

Stephen, if this is not fixable, it's not a big flaw, especially considering that TK's D-III isn't a perfectly shaped model. TK's is good, and so is yours. Lord knows, you're one of the few modelers still working on this sim. I'm truly grateful to you for bringing this model to the community.

  17. SF2 KAW RF-51D Mustang

So cool... KAW gets better each day. Thanks, Wrench.

Thanks, guys, for posting your solution. Only had the problem once, when I pushed the stick a little too hard on take off. Mixed flights of D-IIIs and D-IIs really look awesome now. I can't wait until the master skinners start in with this beauty. Fantastic work, Stephen, and Ojcar. A pleasure to look at and a pleasure to fly, just like all the new addon aircraft from this team.
  19. Albatros D.II posted

Thank you, Stephen. Been waiting for this one to arrive. Great work. Thanks to all your team. At last, a D-II to fly alongside Thirdwire's D-III.
  20. Worth the wait, I'm sure, after seeing everything else that's come out for this mod. I know the star will be just as awesome as Fubar's 15bis.
  21. Don't have SF2NA, but wanted it anyway. Took out the Naval map reference in the ini. Haven't encountered any problems so far, although, of course, I don't get naval task forces flying from a carrier. On my old computer, I don't deserve them anyway. It runs smooth on my old box, and it is drop dead gorgeous. I am astounded. If I find Marilyn Monroe at one of the airfields, I'm not coming back. This is amazing work, Wrench. Now, if I could only find that old copy of Ghost Riders in the Sky I used to use as Single Mission Screen song... Mach riders in the sky.... Forever.... The best terrain I've ever downloaded. Bar none.
  22. SF2 Korean War Era PLAAF/NKPAF MiG-15

Thank you, Wrench. I've seen the source you probably worked from, I was hoping one of you good skinners would present this. Those tricky Soviets... Masquerading as Chinese...
  23. ....are both crazy good! I'm hoping the intention is to release the USAF F-86s from the Korean War mod. Took the 86e (Sorry! Canadair Sabre 4) up to 30000'. Took forever to get there. Yes! Once I got there, I rolled her on to her back and pulled her through. By the time I reached about 16000' I was through the mach and eventually reached 1.10, sucking frogs into the intake from a rice paddy on the pull out. I then repeated the flight, this time using the Mig 15bis, except I took that up to 35000'. Didn't take that long. Yes! Rolled her over and pulled her through. Mach 92, 93, 95, 98, 99, 98. Definitely sub-sonic. Never went through the mach. Yeah, baby! Thanks so much to all involved. These are superb.
  24. Looking forward to it all. Korea is the only version I fly, because it's easy on my geriatric system, which I can't replace right now. Besides, I've always liked Korea best of all. In a guns only environment, fm is everything, and the fm folks working on this mod are the best. I love the Mig 15 as well as the Sabre (I know, I'm an oddball), and Fubars fm brings the Samoyet Soldat to life. I'm glad you folks decided to do it. Sadly, I have two straight decked aircraft carriers in my mod, late and early Essex, showing parked aircraft, with deck numbers for all the ships which operated in theater, but I can't share them, because they come from "that other place." For anyone who likes to tinker, it can be done.
  25. Field Guns for First Eagles

Thank you, Stephen. A long awaited dream coming true. And a reason to return to the game.
