  4. Saw this...........

Well, it's probably not as close as you think if it was taken with a long lens. Still, pretty cool shot. FC
  5. The Man Cave...

    Okay, that's just cool! FC
  6. Windows 7

Basically, 32-bit becomes limited in addressing RAM...ie a 32-bit OS will not directly access all your RAM at anything 4GB or higher. A 64-bit OS doesn't have that limit. I've been testing Win7 64bit, I run Win Vista 32bit, and test WinXP 32-bit. If I had my druthers, I'd permenantly move over to Win7. I've noticed on my newer hardware it's more stable than Vista, and almost as fast as XP, with a lot more features. FC
  7. We've been noticing that too. We are looking into it...hopefully the fix will be up soon. FC
  8. They forgot to bring them over... That's one of the really neat parts of this job, I've instructed/flown with folks from ALL sorts of places, having operated all sorts of machines. From MiG-15s to Space Shuttles, kids with barely 70 hours in ANYTHING, to generals who have more hours in more machines that I can count, folks born in the bible belt to Singapore, etc. FC
  9. What Does Your Cockpit Look Like?

Well, since you asked: 1. FedEx A300 Airbus - Northrop T-38C Talon 2. 0.82 Mach - 1.2+ Mach 3. Way more than I make - Seen one for sale for $1 million USD Can't out turn a Fokker, but can out climb one...and/or the Airbus will simply eat one with the engine and spit it out the back... FC
  10. Flown with several of those guys already. FC
  11. As a campaign, no such thing exists. FC
  12. What Does Your Cockpit Look Like?

    Sorry, couldn't resist. K
  13. Absolutely correct! Got it working with 3 separate mods already. FC
  14. We are unable to host those files here at Combatace. FC
  15. how do i start flying

Buy one of the simulators available. FC
  16. Sorry folks, haven't had a chance to fix the Sabre yet...working hard to get the rest of the T-38/F-5 2 seater series out the door (thanks to Eric and KillerB for all their work). FC
  17. Oh, okay. The miles thing means that if the target is more than 50 miles away, she will only say 50 miles. Once the target she is calling out gets within 50 miles, she will start using smaller increments (I think she uses 50, 25, 10, 5...something like that). FC
  18. 1. angels = Altitude in thousands of feet ( "Angels 30" equals 30000 feet). Not sure what you mean about the miles thing, that's pretty self explanatory. The 'no bogies' in area is because until you get within a certain distance, some enemies won't be 'visible'. It's a minor bug...and I've usually seen it match what's on the map. 2. Read the readme included with the download. FC
  19. I was going to say, this structure is MUCH better overall. And if you're smart and read the knowledge base, you can have that mod folder be anywhere. The only thing that is not as nice is handling decals, everything else is much easier. It's always the transition that's the hardest part. FC
  20. Lights problem solved. Look for a file from any Gen 1 ThirdWire sim (except First Eagles) in the Objectdata.CAT file called F-4E_LIGHTS.TGA. Place it in the Cockpit directory. That will fix the AOA lights. FC
  21. Look in your Options panel, Controls, Customize...find and assign the key (or if you have a ranged control, use that). FC
  22. Wait, the GM radar has MOVING TARGET capability now? Rock on!
  23. 'Blocks' as designations for subvariants have been around for a LONG time. Sometimes, they're minor TO changes, other times (like the F-16) they can designate very different capability upgrades. Sometimes they also can be designated as 'Lots'...I think the USN does this. Heck, you can even use letters. The B-1B has used letters to designate Block upgrades...I left just as they were starting Block C, and I believe they are up to Block F. Blocks can also be in single digits...the T-38C is on Block 7 of it's current avionics software. Both the Bone and T-38C are examples of having 'Block' upgrades without actually having a new production line of aircraft. Speaking of which, the old A model went all the way to Block 85 on it's initial production run. Short answer, yes, other aircraft use 'Blocks' but there is no standard implementation. FC
