  1. Read the very first post in the thread carefully...I did not use the Lexx method. FastCargo
  2. THIS JUST IN ,,,,

Buildings, mountains, or water. Frankly, I'll take open water over buildings and mountains. FastCargo
  3. Not a tease...it's actually pretty easy. I just want to check a few things first. FastCargo

  6. What do you mean...assigning keys to control the thrust vectoring? Go to the Options menu in the sim, Controls, Customize. Scroll through the key listing until you find the thrust vector keys, then change them like any other key. Don't make this sound harder than it is... FastCargo
  7. THIS JUST IN ,,,,

Pffft! That's not even breathing hard. Try a DC-10 on 7400 feet. Or an A300 on 5800 feet. And that's just in California. As far as the Learjet crash...like every other aircraft crash...I don't make any conclusions until the initial safety report is out. FastCargo
  8. Are you getting a crash, or they just aren't firing? Crash problems are a bug (there's a thread around somewhere), firing problems seems to be a key mapping issue (have to select the pods, then fire them)... FastCargo
  9. This didn't stop them (Mirage 2000-5) from getting 'killed' at Red Flag by F-16s on a semi-regular basis. Pretty manuvers at airshows don't necessarily translate to air dominating tactics in the field. That being said, Crusader is correct in that it is an equivalent dogfighter to the aircraft of it's generation...and though they won and lost fights, it certainly wasn't anything close to a turkey shoot for either 'side'. But what do I know...I was only drinking beer with the French pilots after watching our debriefs (including ACMI) during Coalition Flag...what happens in Vegas... FastCargo
  10. There's a name out of antiquity... FastCargo
  11. Plenty of missiles needed: A new Tomahawk. Patriot (including launch system) Bloodhound Bomarc TOW (including launch pods) JASSM Nike Hercules Spartan Sprint Also, 2 stage missiles are easy...several of them in the stock game. Take a look at my S-200 and Stinger updates as examples. FastCargo
  12. One day left

There is great American beer! Just not Budweiser or Miller... Sam Adams baby! Bongodriver...why ya quittin the CG? Can't fly the Bongo as a reservist? FastCargo
  13. Hey guys, for you US Navy fans, I got a question. Looking at various sources, it seems there are very few external differences between the A and C model of the Hornet, except for a few new fairings (bumps) and some new antenna. I know internally there was an upgrade in avionics, allowing carriage of newer missiles, targeting pods, and AG weapons, plus an upgraded cockpit. Can anyone give me the differences in thumbnail? Basically, I've been flying around in SFP1/WOV/WOE, building a 'C' model by mostly just adjusting the data.ini to change loadout capabilities. Maybe another way to ask...what can one model do the other model could not do. FastCargo
  14. Define "that much"... Once is more than enough if you're dead because you didn't have a gun. FastCargo
  15. Actually, something like this would be VERY useful in one important way: Doing a 'merged' SFP1/WOV/WOE/WOI install. There are stock aircraft in the other titles that are not available in WOI (F-100, F-105, etc). Now obviously you could extract all the relevant files (including cockpit files). But for some aircraft that use duplicate files, that means making and putting the proper files in the proper locations...or for third party aircraft that use stock bmps for cockpits, you would have to extract the particular files you need and copy them to the particular directories. However, if you extracted ALL the files from both the Objectdata.cat files from both a merged WOV/WOE install, and a WOI install, combined them all in one directory without any of the WOI/WOE files overwriting the WOI files (the WOI files would be newer), then took the whole directory and made a custom Objectdata.cat file...that should work and fix any issues with using WOV/WOE stuff in WOI... Just a thought... FastCargo
  16. Yet another checkride...

What math is that you're using...that's not the numbers I come up with... FastCargo
  17. Yet another checkride...

"Only" he says.... Why I oughta....! FastCargo
  18. Also, patches are made for the vanilla version of the game...NOT for a game that has been modded. Can you imagine the developer trying to keep up with the million plus mods that are out there that he has absolutely no QA control over? Use the knowledge base. And readmes are there for a reason...to help keep guys out of trouble. FastCargo
  19. Simply put, planes requests are nice...but unnecessary. People will do what they want to because of either enlightened self interest, or because they are genuinely interested in the subject. The only other exception is if it's payware...but except for TK, I guarantee they ain't making a living at it. Also, this series has been in existence for 5 years...99.99 percent of the time, the plane you asked for has already been asked for multiple times. FastCargo
  20. If you are looking for the download, check the very first post in this thread. Note the statement in that post: "Click here to download this file." Follow the instruction and click on that statement and it will take you to the download page. FastCargo
  21. Read the readme. It answers all questions and is VERY specific in it's instructions. If you're curious as to where the files are at, have a look inside the directories in the downloaded file. I just tested it myself and re-read my own instructions to make sure it is clear. FastCargo
  22. Mc Cain's Plane

Yep, belongs to a company called Swift Air...regstration number N802TJ. I've seen it before it was painted for the campaign. FastCargo
  23. While testing newly remapped models.. Formation mod works just fine with new WOI patch. FastCargo
