You have to use DOSbox to do it. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...commander\ FastCargo

  3. Your first combat flight sim...

First COMBAT flight sim. Jet. That's all it was called.. http://www.migman.com/ref/1980_combat/Jet/Jet.htm Even went up against Mig-23s... FastCargo
  4. Wagsled....thanks for the explanations. Always nice to hear from the guys who did the real thing... FastCargo
  5. Also, 3ds MAX does regular backups. Did you go into your backup folder to see if you could recover there? FastCargo
  6. There are no external pylons on the B-52D model...yet. FastCargo
  7. Holy CRAP! Them is some serious templates! I remember someone's website (I forgot who) who has a BUNCH of F-4B skins...very nice. But the downloads didn't give you a clue how big the files were until you unzipped them...each paint scheme (including decals) was an average of 300MB EACH!!! Actually, this is snappers baby, I'm just helping out. Snapper, chat with Sundowner to see if he can get you those templates. I'm real happy with all of the shapes for this bird plus the ini edits to make certain parts of the A model disappear. But the tail bump is driving me nuts...it just doesn't quite shadow right. I get the feeling it has something to do with the smoothing parameters. FastCargo
  8. Landing Gear

"Belly landing check - OK" Well, as long as everyone got out okay... FastCargo
  9. Just an old topic that got bumped up because someone just started the campaign recently. FastCargo
  10. Very quick and dirty paint job to see how the parts are integrating. FastCargo

  12. Hey, aren't you the 'Not a pound for air to ground' guy? What didya use...harsh language? FastCargo
  13. Nope, but go here to see how to fix the LGB clipping problem: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...&hl=loadout FastCargo
  14. Yep, usually then making it a weaponstation that can only take a fuel tank which doesn't exist. The thing I don't like about that method is you end up with 'empty' weapon stations that someone will ask why they can't load anything on them. Your method is much cleaner...and transparent to the end user. Awesome job figuring that one out. Thanks for the info! FastCargo
  15. Hey Trooper, Can you explain why this works? I don't have the Hind in front of me at the moment. Your method seems a lot 'cleaner' than the method I use to 'hide' parts of aircraft LODs. FastCargo
  16. What is wrong with the USAF?

He's considered an icon of the USAF. You always knew who the old Rhino drivers were in the squadron...cause they all looked and acted like him. Mustached, crusty, old guys who could drink you under the table and didn't give a damn who knew it either.... It's funny, we complain about the SNAPs the USAF seems to be intent on breeding. What I'm finding though is that for all the USAF leadership keeps doing, almost all of the new guys coming into the fighter/bomber force have that same killer instinct that I remember, that still gets the job done. Even if they are of the Nintendo generation...there's still hope for the future. FastCargo
  17. You couldn't do it as a movie...it's too epic... A miniseries would work though... FastCargo
  18. CIACHO is correct. The program will use the first rack it comes across that meets the criteria. Try switching the racks in the weapondata.ini file, then use the weapons editor. The only problem is that this will affect EVERY aircraft that the missile and rack are used in combo. FastCargo
  19. I'm with serverandenforcer on this one. I've noticed booleans get ugly the more complex the object is pretty quickly. I tend to avoid them too. Usually, if I need to cut something, I'll use 'QuickSlice' and clean up the extra vertices afterward. FastCargo
  20. All shapes done and mapped. Notice how part of the lower 'canoe' is actually part of the nose gear door. These parts move with the gear door and come together to form the 'canoe' when the gear is up...just like the real EF-111. All that's needed now is texturing. FastCargo

  23. I guess the A-10 Thunderbolt II wasn't worth a damn? Ya done stepped in it now... FastCargo
  24. Most shapes done...I may have a option to be able to attach shapes to the nose gear. Still need to map the shapes of course. FastCargo
