  1. You know, this kind of double talk from politicos pisses me off. How many times have I heard 'make the right decision' but as long as it doesn't affect my district. I hate to say this, but Boeing deserves getting their ass handed to them. After trying to game the system, and getting caught at it, they still couldn't get their act together and make a real proposal. This tells me they haven't learned their lesson yet. Get serious and do some real innovation, like the 787 promises to be. FastCargo
  2. BigAl, If you have any questions about the Bone, especially handling characteristics, shoot me a PM. I have about 500 hours in the aircraft as a pilot. FastCargo
  3. Why? If the real F-104G had it, why would you get rid of it? FastCargo
  4. For that situation, the TVC would work really well...you could even control the rate you 'get' fuel and not affect anything else. Heck, you wouldn't even need WoI for it to work. The only aircraft you wouldn't want to try this method on would be any with TVC (Harrier, etc). I must admit, a clever method indeed. FastCargo
  5. WWI men and machines

So, if I put a LONG range gun on a satellite...it should work? Just tinkering.... FastCargo
  6. C5, Could you implement such a engine but use another input to control it's 'RPM'? That way, you could make it a 'push button' setup... FastCargo
  7. Brainless, No one is putting down YAPs work or talking about payware vs freeware. All the speculation is simply about how it's done. FastCargo
  8. Sounds like you need some basic weapons training. This article will get you started in the basics of air to air weapons employment in the Thirdwire series of sims: http://www.simhq.com/_air/air_061a.html FastCargo
  9. Carrier's have catapults that are aligned in the specific direction. Runways do not. Try adding a catapult to a runway...see if it works. FastCargo
  10. Well, 05 said this in the SimHQ forum: Typically, when it comes to advertising YAP's features, 05 is accurate. So, I suspect the video is legitimate. How's it's done, I haven't figured out yet. FastCargo
  11. Dude, Talk to the DS mod team...they might need it! Looks nice. FastCargo
  12. Be careful with changing this setting. If you make it too small, you will start getting flashing textures and/or you may starting seeing anomalies from the cockpit of certain planes. FastCargo
  13. Yeah...usually requires precision flying. That's why the Navy doesn't do them... FastCargo
  14. COOL!! And a B-52G...some 'Secret Squirrel' missions no doubt... FastCargo
  15. Well, it all goes back to simple physics. A slug doesn't care what it hits...period. You get in the way, you get hit. Usually, the reasons ground to air hits (using non-AAA type equipment) doesn't happen more often is: 1) Slow rate of fire/velocity. 2) Targets aren't usually in the arc of fire. 3) Lack of proper lead against air targets. RPGs can be very effective against aircraft if they are stationary or very slow. Most Ground to Air kills using an RPG have been against helos...go figure. FastCargo
  16. Blah, blah, blah, yadda, yadda, yadda... Look up the definition of 'flare' will ya? FastCargo
  17. I'd be curious myself if it's not classified or restricted info. The Hog has so many stations, I've never been able to find a easy to read AND accurate diagram of what it can and can't carry. FastCargo
  18. If I understand correctly, you are wondering if you can destroy enemy aircraft with a air to ground rocket pod. The answer...yes you can. I've done it. No modifications needed. FastCargo
  19. You can go into the data.ini for the A-10 and fix it yourself. BUT, you have to do the skull sweat to learn how...this sounds like a realistic restriction, so it would be a matter of restricting what kind of weapon can be carried on those stations. Check the weaponspack for details...there is a nice PDF file included that specifies how to limit possible loadouts on stations. FastCargo
  20. What Do You Look Like in Uniform Thread

Yep, I would definitely agree! FastCargo
  21. Centrinoe, Well, the best thing to do is find a model already in game that is similar to what you built. Then take a look at the data.ini and adapt it using your .OUT file. You kind of need to simply read the .ini and data.ini and figure out generally what each section does. Otherwise, it would take a very long time to explain all the parameters in a data.ini file. FastCargo
  22. Since you're asking: T-38/F-5 seats (with drogue chute housing). ACES and ACES II seats. Hey, you asked! By the way...excellent work, and absolutely BRILLANT idea of using the same coordinate as the pilot model. I always hate trying to find the coordinates of both models. Makes it a LOT easier. FastCargo
  23. First, did you Reset XForm on the wheels? That should reset the mesh to the original round shape. Animated nozzles are done using vertex scale animation. Try using that to animate the nozzles. FastCargo
