  1. Force DX9 dosen't work, I get the error message below. But to be honest, I don't think my old PC meets any of the game requirements.
  2. Hi ndicki Yep I did, installed it with all my other SF2 games, and my results so far. SF2NA will not start up, when I bought it I was half hoping/expecting it would start and run like a dog but I don’t get anything. That was the bad news. The good news is that so far in SF2E, on the waterworld map, I get lovely carriers with planes on them, lots new ships and planes to play with. One reason for buying SF2NA is that I want to take off from a carrier on the Vietnam map in a campaign with other ships around. I am keeping my fingers crossed on that one I can run TKs Iceland map but the sea is just white. I will try some antiship missions in SF2 later to check that I am getting missiles from all launchers not just the front one. So far I am quite happy with the results, though a lot more testing is needed. Cheers Snapper21
  3. If TK dosen't hurry up I am going to spend my money on something else, maybe a new Itunes playlist instead. 1) A Day's Wait 2) I Can't Wait 3) I Don't Want To Wait 4) I Will Wait 5) Just Can't Wait 6) If I Have To Wait 7) Lets Wait Awhile 8) Only Heavne Can Wait 9) Stretch Out And Wait 10) Tomorrow Can Wait
  4. Come on TK release it soon, if your store had carpet I would have worn it out by now!
  5. I think we are still looking at a WIP. I have just noticed in the last batch of pics that USS South Carolina is missing its Phalanx.
  6. Hi Fubar Will give removing TKs probe a go, though wont we be knackered if TK adds in flight refuelling, they look in slightly different position. I hope yoi get permission to upload the changes, they do look good. Am I right in thinking you have CCIP in the cockpit? I have been trying to add that myself, but without a weapon selected I lose the gunsight totally?? Cheers Snapper 21
  7. Hi NeverEnough That worked a treat. Thanks Snapper 21
  8. Hi PureBlue Looks like we are also getting Gearing class FRAM I Nice pdf Cheers Snapper 21
  9. Files from http://combatace.com...-ssn-submerged/ and tomahawk from http://combatace.com...-aegis-cruiser/ Have we got any Russian surface to surface anti ship missiles? Cheers Snapper 21
  10. Hi Everybody I have a question about Blue side SAMs. Why are the Seeker FOV so small? Looking at the Red weapons that come with the game, they seem to have a seaker FOV starting at 60 (SA-2 etc). While if you look at SeaDart, Seawolf and RIM-2E they seem to have FOV around 5. Which in the original SF2 data is what seems to be a normal set up for air to air missiles. Now I am not saying any of these figure are wrong, I haven't a clue what the real life figure should be, or what the game needs. I just remember reading a post a while ago that NATO SAMs were porked, and started wondering if that a ground launched missile needs a bigger FOV to engage a target. What do you lot think? Cheers Snapper 21
  11. Thanks for that. Just out of interest, what are your thoughts on the Seawolf? Cheers Snapper 21
  12. Hi Fubar512 Thanks for the explanation, I have learned a new thing today. So lookng again at the various Data ini Seawolf: SeekerGimbleLimit=46.000000 SeaDart: SeekerGimbleLimit=125.000000 RIM-2E: SeekerGimbleLimit=46.000000 RIM-7; SeekerGimbleLimit=90.000000 SA(N)-9: SeekerGimbleLimit=360.000000 TKs SA-2B: SeekerGimbleLimit=135.000000 TKs SA-8: SeekerGimbleLimit=135.000000 In my simple way of looking at things, I am quite surprised by the NATO weapons. If the SA-2B is a standard, then I would have thought that all the others should have been the same or greater. Is that right, or am I looking at it to simply? I think I need to experiment. Cheers Snapper21
  13. Hi All As the new SF2 NA is coming, I have been playing with different ships, and have noticed that flying along at 3000 ft some ships don't engage me with missiles till 3 nautical miles after there guns have already fired. I am using waterworld terrain and the CGN-25 USS Bainbridge with RIM-2E missiles. Is this just a game thing at the moment, or do I need to do some ini editing? If so what are the units for radar range and missile launch range in? USS Bainbridge, is only an example, I get it with other ships as well. The Tico cruiser seems to start firing as soon as I have taken off! Though I havent been hit yet at that range. Thanks for any info, ideas Snapper 21

  15. So who is up for the bombing Keflavik airfield from 500 feet in a B-52?
  16. Happy New Year

Wishing you all a Happy New Year.
  17. I hope the pictures of ships in formation is from a campaign, not just a single mission. Now that would be cool, especially if Vietnam gets that update as well.
  18. Being in my own little world, I would have thought TK would have been after new customers, an so offered at least the A-7, F-4 and maybe even the F-15A as flyable.
  19. In my humble opinion, the game will be set before 82, the picture of USS Peterson (DD-969) has no Phalanx CIWS, which according to wiki was added after July 82. Thanks Sherlock Holmes (Snapper 21)
  20. Hi All Quick question, are the data.ini and the user.ini files for this plane locked away in object.cat 2? Thanks Snapper 21
  21. Thanks for the replies, have also found the file type .dlc on the extractor so am now sorted.
