Vought Corsair MkIV which is finished in the markings of Sub Lieutenant Donald J. Sheppard Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve No. 1836 Squadron, HMS Victorious Sakishima Islands, East China Seas May, 1945 Sheppard holds the distinction of being the only FAA Corsair ace of WWII. This Corsair is finished in Fleet Air Arm colours. "Some sources state that the Corsairs were painted in US equivalents of Olive Drab, Neutral Gray and Sky Gray. This could very well be, but a colour photo I have, does not look like these colours. Furthermore, Dana Bell has stated in his Export Colors publication that some US aircraft were still being delivered in the proper British colours right up until war's end." Ta-152H-1, Stab/JG301. "Green 1" is likely the Ta-152 flown by Oberstleutnant Aufhammer, Schwarmfuehrer of the JG301 Stabschwarm. The bottom of the wing was left Bare Metal on this particular aircraft. place the file in your IL-2/paintschemes/skins/Ta-152H-1 folder and try not to hurt yourself.. Willi Reschke's Ta-152H-0. It's no different from the H-1 as far as I can tell.. It seems that in the 48 missions he flew, he had to write off 8 aircraft yet still managed 27 victories,14 of which were Heavies. He even rammed a B-24 when his guns jammed.. place the file in you IL-2/paintschemes/skins/Ta-152H-1 folder and try to save the airframe this time.. Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2, MT-214 (W.Nr.14753, GD+UY)of HLeLv34, Piloted by Lt. Kyosti Karhila (32 1/4 victories). Flying this airplane he shot down two LaGG-3 over the Gulf of Finland on 4th May 1943.

Historical Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2,"MT-212 (W.Nr.14753, RJ+SW)",of 1./LeLv34 Piloted by Adjutant Oiva Emil Kalervo Tuominen.June 1943. With this plane Finnish fighter ace No.1 Eino Juutilainen (94 1/6 victories) shot down 24.3.43. a Soviet Pe-2 over Gulf of Finland. On June 2 1943 Tuominen had to make a forced landing in the Gulf of Finland after a dogfight. Tuominen ended the war with 44 victories, 8 of these were claimed during The Winter War.
