Be sure to add the F-111gun to the supply stock of your unit. If you took care of that not sure why this should happen. Is the gun displayed as loaded in the loadout menu when stationgroupid=2 is set? As said before no way of telling when it's set to 7. S! -

Because of the parking[xy] entries in the whatever_airfieldX.ini ? If memory serves me corectly these entries are found in all versions SFP1/WoV/WoE/WoI but only work with WoI right now. The next patch should address that along with groundmapping radar in avionic70s.dll, that right now works only in WoI. S! -

May I suggest using: StationGroupID=2 AttachmentType=USAF,NATO The first ensures that you can access this station via the loadout menu. As it's right now you can only change the loadout groups 1 - 6. Via loadout.ini you can ensure that the gun is selected for any planes originally assigned to the mission but any aircraft you add via the pilot rooster comes in a clean config. StationGroupID=2 allows you to load the gun for these planes too, and for the F-111A group 2 wasn't used before. Adding NATO to the attachmenttype was neccessary to enable the gun for me, but that may depend on which weapon pack you use or what the F-111gun is set to in the weapons editor. Regards S. -

Thanks for this work, especially the skin work and the earlier decal work. Also didn't notice adverse effects framerate wise with the objects. On my second "lowend" pc a short hickup occurs when zooming from external view close in. Seems to be conected to the decals being loaded. Happend to use the big decals of Mythai as templates, had the same effect with his decals. Anyone ever come around a way to resize the fuselage decals and limit it to the areas really needed? Asking because during the week can only use the lowend PC and wrestle for every frame. However many thanks for your work and your enthusiasm[spell check?]. Regards! S! -

It doesn't move because it's a terrain object. To get moving ships either create a single mission place the ships there and assign them waypoints or make sure you've set up shiping lanes in the terrain data file. S! -

The 555th gets a new home. Build from scratch with stock and custom objects that seemed to fit. A great help were the runway / taxiway objects from Gepard other objects from POLAK, wingwiner,Grumpapotamus, DBS objects and others. S! -

Hmm RTFM. In short Maveriks or other EOGR Missles: 1. Select them ;-) >> a tv screen comes up in the upper right corner of the screen and if aircrft is equiped with a TV screen in the cockpit too 2. Pick up a target via pressing E: If you're facing the target, the seeker should lock onto the target 3. Release the missle and watch it fly, you're free to pick another target and fire until you're out of missles. LGB: 1. Select them ;-) >> a tv screen comes up in the upper right corner of the screen and if aircrft is equiped with a TV screen in the cockpit too 2. Pick a target E key again: If it's the primary target this one will always be illuminated. 3. Pickle once you're within release parameters. If your target isn't the primary and your aircraft is not equiped with a LD/Targeting pod you are outta luck cause then you can't release the LGBs. S! -

Polak made that template years ago and pioneered into using FS Scenery creator for making target areas for Thirdwire sims. At Simhq there is a sticky thread on game objects for starters. It's based upon the AC-130A MOD by Pasko, so it's not YAP. But didn't YAP do something similar with a "Target CAM" too? The gunsight is part of Paskos cockpit and quite functional, got the Vulcans to be spot on now, still tweaking the Bofors. It's surprise package configuration, so it has two Vulcans and two Bofors. Information is ba bit unclear on whether the forward miniguns (7.62mm) have been removed from all AC-130A or if some retained them when the aft vulcans were replaced with the Bofors. The aft miniguns from the first Gunships were definately removed when the Bofors were installed. However USAF publications indicate that suprise package didn't include the 7.62mm forward minigun pair. YAP Bird is different and based on DELs excellent C-130E. It represents the heavier one with 2 Vulcans, one Bofors and M101 105mm howitzer. From screenshoots I would think YAP keept the forward minigus too. Still wondering how YAP got the AI plane to actually attack and hit anything, Paskos right now dives headlong towards an assigned target while happily spraying bullets sideways. S! -

Changed the guns to Bofors and Vulcans per Spec of Surprise package. Grouped them so its with gungroup selection and pri/sec trigger possible to fire guns individually. Still trying to figure out how to boresight the guns to the crosshair. Added the values of the Stock C130A to the wheels section as it tended to strip of its legs to readily. S! -

Great package! Terrain is a charm, realistic towns and settlements, fortifications and all that stuff and the ground units are marvelous. Must have been a hell of work to do that. Some remarks on Installation with Wings over Vietnam: Installed over a vanilla WoV with last Service Pack and Patch applied. No troubles with the Hercs. Since the Service pack included all the SFP1 LOD files, the ini files that came with the mod call them and both the C130A and the KC130 are working. No need for a custom C130 or the LOD file. In Terrain\Malvinas\malvinas.ini change: CatFile=..\VietnamSEA\VietnamSEA.cat Otherwise the airfields and other stock objects are not shown. Thanks for all the modders work and cast that into this shape. S! PS: Are frigattes supposed to withstand 6 Snakeeye hits? Having a hard time here in the A4Q. Suggest also to limit wing pylons to outer TER stations, looks odd when the inner ones hang into the gearbaydoors. -

you can still get it to work without having the DBS terrain. Halle3_close / open are also part of the factory place. But you would not have the commbuilding2, Hangar3 and Hangar4 and the flagpole. S! -

This is a replacement for the Stock base as this one didn't do any justice to the real one. This release is a beta release, update is planned once I get some feedback on any troubles it might give. I depend a bit on you since my time is too limited to do any serious testing. It was created using Flight Simulator Scenery creator, Polaks converter for SCN to Target.ini conversion and a lot of cursing. Detailed instructions on how to install and credits are included in the Readme.txt! Have fun! Disclaimer To the best of my knowledge this mod is not compatible with YAP. AI in low flight level

First: SafeAltitude= is in metrical units. Second: There is a section for each AI skill level, values might differ a bit for each. However tweaking them quite low makes Ai follow you down low. If they surive without hitting ground is another question. -

Just to sum it up: 1. You copy a LOD file to a different name, as far as i know no limits there. 2. You copy the texture file(s) to a different name but do not add any charachters to the name! 3. You open the LOD file with a hex editor and change the pointer to the renamed texture file. Again do not add characters as this will surely break the LOD file. 4. With weapons editor copy the weapon/Tank and change it's lod pointer to the renamed LOD file. Example: Pointer in LOD file: original texture file: 600L_TankMigxy.bmp renamed copy: 600L_TankMiGAB.bmp Number of characters is the same! Do otherwise by changing the pointer to say: 600L_TankMiGXYZ1.bmp and you break the internal references of the LOD file. Might it be that this stuff is also to be found in the Knowledge base? S! -

Browsing through the ages old Factory Place objects found this Hangar. Still not the right type but closer in shape and size than stock Hangar1 or Hangar2. Did i already thank Gepard for his terrain work and the airfield objects. Some things still bother me - the wrong Hangars on the ramp, should be a small two storey high peaked roof type, YAP might have them - no adequate revetments for the Spectres and no static model for them too - missing H-type barack for USAF base area As for the fuel tanks: no i didn't erect the at that place ;-) S! -

When the german wall fell in 1989, a west german relative showed me Mircosofts flight simulator and Battlehawks 1942. I still have the original box of that. Then it was Their finest hour, Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe, Red Baronthe movie sucks aviatationwise, B17, Aces Series, EAW, IL2 and it's successive releases. Thirdwire got me hooked with WoV, somehow i missed the SFP1. Now it's WoE but i still get drawn back to WoV a lot. S! -
