Trackir In Sf?
LordOliver replied to Vegas's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Did you make a separate profile for SF? if so you could try turning down the tracking speed.... Or I could host a TrackIR profile for you to try, just load it up and give it a whirl.... it has a modest dead zone in the center to help with aiming. Just save it to your C:\Program Files\Naturalpoint folder and load and go. See what you think. -Ollie SFP1.tir -

Bug!!! A10 Nav Training
LordOliver replied to -HORNET-'s topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
For the training missions it was mentioned somewhere to make sure your mouse panning is turned OFF. Once you turn it off in the options I bet it will run ok. -
F-15 Variable Geometry Intake

Sounds good enough to me, thanks for replying... I have just never seen this happen on my plane through any throttle setting. No worries :) -

home page/netscape problem
LordOliver replied to savagkc's topic in Site Support / Bug Reports / Suggestions
I'm still having probs with the main page and netscape (7.02)... The news text in the center or the page just below the header bar is black instead of white and it just looks all funky. The text comes in white and clear with IE Not sure what to make of this. -
So THAT is what I heard....

Sound question
LordOliver replied to savagkc's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
From everything I see abvout the sounds in the game, any new sounds added should be wav files recorded at 11 KHz, 16-bit format. Menu music can be stereo or mono, but I think ingame sounds can only be mono (the 3D engine will take care of the stero part) That is just my observation and I hope that helps. -
P-51 Rollout
LordOliver replied to a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Beautiful! My hats go off to Crisis and DO and anyone else who helped who put this beautiful bird together. You are to be commended most highly!!! :) Only one problem I see and that will continue to be a problem for the foreseeable future. There is in the package an updated weapondata.ini and weapondata.dat file for use with this plane. However, there is a modified weapondata.ini and .dat file for the MiG-17PFU as well. (as well as a soundlist.ini file already modified by the A-1H Skyraider) My question is: Will there be a constant need to make backups and restore these files everytime I or anyone wants to switch a plane? As planes and new weapons roll out of the "factories"... this will be an ever increasing problem and it will become frustrating as time goes on... all this switching... Are there any plans for developers to get together and make some combined packages that anyone knows of? -

LordOliver replied to a topic in Site Support / Bug Reports / Suggestions
It is a RAR file. I had trouble downloading it with Netscape, but IExplorer seemed to have no problems with it. -

New Avionics...
LordOliver replied to pcpilot's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Ancient Chinese secret! Well actually ok not really a secret... however the screenshot I showed was from before the patch but it still does work... gimme a minute and I will put together a download package for it.... ok here it is... these are for your MiG-21's... it has a fixed range and no boresite mode... and loses lock very quickly. Assuming you have a cockpit set up for the MiG-21's such as Marcelo's wonderful pits... you just do the following... I am using the MiG-21F as an example... 1. Place the MiG-21F_avionics.ini file into the ..ObjectsAircraftMiG-21F folder 2. Place the MIG21RADAR.bmp into the ..ObjectsAircraftMiG-21Fcockpit folder Change or add the last line shown below to the MiG-21F.ini file: [AircraftData] AircraftFullName=MiG-21F Fishbed-C AircraftDataFile=MiG-21F_data.ini CockpitDataFile=F-104G_cockpit.ini HangarScreen=Mig-21F_hangar.bmp LoadoutImage=Mig-21F_loadout.bmp LoadoutFile=MiG-21F_loadout.ini AvionicsDLL=Avionics60.dll AvionicsDataFilename=MiG-21F_avionics.ini and you are good to go. You can repeat this for the Other MiG-21's by changing the name of the Avionics.ini to MiG-21FM_avionics.ini and so on, making the appropriate changes to the code above. Total credit for this goes to eruyi. Have fun and don't forget to make backups in case you do not like it. Just a nice change of pace if you are flying the MiG's and want something other than the US radar system. -
