It looks like it has a Carry Handle. Is it a Swedish or a Brazilian Carry Handle? :D -
For anybody who ever wanted one of the most comprehensive lists of incorrect aircraft (and yes, we love pointing them out, anybody who says anything else is a blatant liar). Click Here Please note: The link goes to one of the most addictive sites in existence. Here is a warning label from XKCD as a bonus:

Or you just edit the page yourself and fix any errors. Hardly difficult. Its a group effort, incorrect information sometimes appears but then others correct it. Simple as that. In fact, I just fixed it myself in about a minute. Regarding the Iron Eagle mistake, I can understand how it was made, as I recall they use Israeli Air Force Kfirs as MiGs.

TvTropes is a wiki. Anybody can add or edit content. They are just alot more informal then Wikipedia :)

Let us not de-rail this into another pointless what-is-the-best-shooter-of-2011 thread. We all know BF3 won hands down and thus I declare it.

Baltic Air Forces What-If Thread
JonathanRL replied to JonathanRL's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
In late 2011, prospecting began in the Baltic Sea, between the Baltic Countries and Gotland. It was a high risk venture, where few gains where expected. Most of the industry saw it as a joke, or as a measure to keep the skilled work crews in practice so they would not be recruited by other companies. To the surprise of everybody, they did however manage to find something. In November 2012, they announced that a number of natural gas pockets existed, from Gotland to the Bay of Finland. At worst case, these pockets alone would make the Baltic States, Finland and Sweden independent of energy imports for thirty years. Russia was quick to try and stake a claim on the gas fields, but was quickly rebuked with the argument that there was no way they could have a legitimate claim. Preparing for the worst, the Baltic Countries began a military buildup starting with their Air Forces. As Russia had suspected, the Baltic Air Policing Program was also a training program for the Baltic Countries, and all that remained was delivery of Fighters. Estonia decided on accepting former Royal Navy Harrier GR9s who was delivered in exchange for natural gas options while Latvia & Lithuania choose the Saab JAS 39C Gripen. Early 2013, the pilot crews where well underway to forming the first squadrons of their respective countries and the aircraft was delivered later that year. In early 2014, Russias rhetoric was stepped up with claims ranging from desperate to ludicrous. The North Stream Pipeline made that part of the Baltic Russian territory. The Baltic Countries status as former soviet members made the gas field Soviet and thus Russian. While silly in nature, the arguments were enforced by the arrival of a Soviet Carrier Group and a newly built Mistral Assault ship in the Baltic. The Baltic Countries are quick to confer with each other and promise mutual support in case of attack. Sweden enforces an already given Declaration of Solidarity and Finland joins the partnership as well, fearing Russian aggression in the Gulf of Finland. NATO – having most of their assets committed in the latest Iranian Crisis – urges Norway, Denmark and Poland to aid as well. On the first of April, the Naval Task Forces depart from Kaliningrad and opens fire on a Baltic Patrol Vessel. Tanks are rolling across the Estonian Border and once again, the Baltic States must fight for their freedom… -
SF2 Fairey Firefly Pak, Post-WW2, Korea & Post-Korea, by Simon Porter

Its a lovely little thing. Scored two MiGs in it, almost by accident. Carried strike package, and they overshoot me, into my guns. A very nice aircraft indeed, GJ Wrench! -
AWACS Questions
JonathanRL replied to allenjb42's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Single Missions tend to grab any AWACs Capable Aircraft. Campaigns are a tad more difficult. -

Baltic Air Forces What-If Thread
JonathanRL replied to JonathanRL's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
The Mainstay is still available, we use it in Midvintermörker with full permission. It will be flying for the opposing force :) Daddy does however raise an excellent point about the air defense network. -
AWACS Questions

Interesting Indeed. Did you just exchange the aircraft; or did you actually base it at Keflavik, or was it a single mission? -
AWACS Questions
JonathanRL replied to allenjb42's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Another thing is that an AWACs aircraft needs to be tied to a Naval Group to show up proper, at least as far as I have discovered. I found a shortcut for this a while back: http://combatace.com/topic/71624-fake-awacs-in-campaigns-tutorial -
Baltic Air Forces What-If Thread
JonathanRL replied to JonathanRL's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
Ok, so I will soon start making this campaign so here are the Results of the Swedish Vote: 12 Points go to : Harrier GR 9 for Estonia JAS 39 Gripen for Latvia JAS 39 Gripen for Lithuania L 39 for Lithuania Any further suggestions for the Baltic Air Forces? Thinking about maybe an AWACs Aircraft or similar, but unsure if we have any of those. -

Campaign Mission Rates
JonathanRL replied to ChampionsVA56's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Set Mission rate to 1 - and it is one per day. Same with offensive. That is however how it seems in TSF where I put missions for about every third day. -
Bad News? Don't know if anyone noticed this....
JonathanRL replied to eraser_tr's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I admit I hope that TK will give modders more responsibility (and I think sales would increase if he did), but its sad to see that he goes the opposite way. I can understand he wanting to turn off the Lods for his own reasons, but turning off scrips? What is the point in that? I think TKs main issue with this is that he feels that if we ask for a feature or mode or whatever, he feels it is he who needs to do the content for the new feature when it is not true. My request for the activation of the Submarine Warfare mode is a perfect example. And the blunder with Day Night Scrips - dont get me started on that one. -

TSF J 35 Draken Ilmavoimat Package
JonathanRL posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
File Name: TSF J 35 Draken Ilmavoimat Package File Submitter: JonathanRL File Submitted: 15 October 2012 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Aircraft The Scandinavian Front Saab J-35S Draken Ilmavoimat Package By Team TSF & Friends The second and final new-build Draken order came from the Suomen Ilmavoimat (Finnish Air Force) in April 1970 for 12 all-weather interceptor 35XS (export Suomi) aircraft to be built in Finland by Valmet from Swedish "knock-down" parts. Seven J35Bs, stripped of all-weather avionics, were leased to the Ilmavoimat in 1972 as the 35BS in preparation for the new aircraft and were bought outright in 1976. The first new build aircraft were delivered in April 1974, the last of the new aircraft arrived in 1975 and all were designated 35S. Six ex-Swedish J35Fs (as the 35FS) and three Sk35Cs (as 35CSs) were bought in 1976 at the same time as the 35BS aircraft mentioned above, and another ex-J35F (18 aircraft) and Sk35C (2 aircraft) order followed in 1984. The arrival of two-seat trainers in Finland meant that pilot conversion could now take place "at home" instead of in Sweden. Initially Drakens were delivered to HävLLv 11 of the Hämeen Lennosto (Häme region Wing) based at Tikkakoski near Jyväskylä in central Finland. Later, HävLLv 11 relocated to the extreme north, taking up residence at the base of Rovaniemi within Lapin Lennosto (Lapland region Wing). In 1984 a second Draken unit was formed as HävLLv 21 of the Satakunnan Lennosto (Satakunta region Wing) at Pirkkala, near Tampere in south-western Finland. This package contains three aircraft. J 35BS, J 35S & J 35S 1990 refit. They are correctly armed with Swedish-built missiles. Have fun, Juhis! Installation: Go to your Mod Folders. For Windows 7/Vista, this is located in C:\Users\Your Name\Saved Games\Thirdwire. For Windows XP Users, it is usually in My Documents. Unzip the contents of the 7zip files into the mod folder of your choice. Allow any overwrites. TSF F 35 Draken Flyvevabnet Package
JonathanRL posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
File Name: TSF F 35 Draken Flyvevabnet Package File Submitter: JonathanRL File Submitted: 14 October 2012 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Aircraft The Scandinavian Front Saab F-35 Draken Flyvevabnet Package By Team TSF & Friends Danish export version: F-35 single-seat strike aircraft, The type was heavily modified to make it into a strike aircraft; compared to the Swedish versions the outer wings where completely redesigned, and the radar was missing. These aircraft could carry heavy bombs as well as Bullpup missiles, during the WDNS upgrade of the 1980s they received the ALQ-162 jammer a Marconi 900 Series HUD and a Ferranti LRMTS (laser rangefinder and marked target seeker) Package contains two aircraft, F 35 version and the upgraded F 35 (82) version. Both birds are nice strike aircraft, albeit more sluggish then the standard Draken. Have fun! Installation: Go to your Mod Folders. Unzip the contents of the 7zip files into the mod folder of your choice. Allow any overwrites. Please note: Loadouts are not entirely accurate. I taken a few liberties with the 82 version, as sources was hard to find. Also, the air intake rail was usually reserved for the Bullpup but I reserved it for the quite exellent Sidewinder Rails made by Volker. TSF J 35 Draken Flygvapnet Package
JonathanRL posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
File Name: TSF J 35 Draken Flygvapnet Package File Submitter: JonathanRL File Submitted: 10 October 2012 File Category: Draken The Scandinavian Front J 35 Draken Flygvapnet Package By Team TSF & Friends The Saab 35 Draken (English: "Kite") was a Swedish fighter aircraft manufactured by Saab between 1955 and 1974. The Draken was built to replace the Saab J 29 Tunnan and, later, the fighter variant (J 32B) of the Saab 32 Lansen. The indigenous J 35 was an effective supersonic Cold War fighter that was also successfully exported to Austria, Denmark and Finland. Please note: We lack a proper "Early" Draken Model, and as such, the A/B versions are incorrect and use the same 3D Model as the 35D/F/J versions. If you already have the TSF Mega Package, you will only find minor edits, weapons as well as the J 35J to be new to this package. Hence, it is worth grabbing.
