In the war of 1956, Denmark had remained neutral, despite the protests of the King, Fredrick IX of Denmark who voiced open support for the Scandinavian Countries. It was also the King that demanded that Denmark would be one of the more active countries in helping Sweden and Finland rebuild after the six month long war. As war loomed in 1966, the King demanded that Denmark would give guarantees if the Soviets decided to attack. Jens Otto Krag, Prime Minister did not support this claim, but remained firm that it was best to remain neutral as he decreed that if Denmark waged war to defend Sweden and Finland, it would be an attack against the Soviet Union. While the issue was hotly debated in Denmark, Soviet decided to attack. In secret, the King visited two squadron commanders who was willing to fight for Scandinavia, and using an old clause officially requested a transfer of command to the Navy, where the King held the rank of Rear Admiral. The squadrons was then subsequently deployed to Helsinki Airbase by Royal Decree. During their approach, nobody had tough to inform Finland and Sweden of the arrival of reinforcements, so a flight of Folland Gnats was sent to intercept the "intruding air forces" who quickly welcomed the new arrivals the traditional Finnish Way - By throwing them out of a Sauna into the snow. The day after, the two squadrons took to the skies to engage a passing flight of Tu-16 Badger bombers, scoring a total of fifteen kills. As the result was broadcasted on radio, a euphoria of national celebration ensued in the square outside Christiansborg Castle. When Jens Otto Krag asked an aide what the celebration was all about, the Aide responded "They cheer for what our boys did over Finland", leaving the Prime Minister lost for words, realising what the King had done.

DarthRevan: I _really_ want to do one, but A-team has the model, and I dont want to work on anything only a few people will be able to enjoy. I will prob contact them and ask but I cannot promise anything. The F-5 in the video is btw a Freedom Fighter, not a Tiger :)

With respect, Gepard but if that worked for me, this thread would never have been started. When the game is unable to find targets or objectives for the flight to accomplish, a Recon mission is selected. My problem is that the targets exist, but the game seems unable to find them. :)

You may be on to Something, Crusader. I will be having a look at that, thank you :) EDIT: They where not know, but it does not seem to be helping. Giving the target areas another look.

Of course I want you to ask it, and no, I am not 100% sure. However, the target areas show up in Single Mission, a similar method was used without problems in Isbjörn and I get the correct target sometimes, not all the time.

What terrain are you using? Does it have a Water map?

...and this is why I hate Steam and Origin bound games. I dont hate the fact that you can sort them into a folder and buy them cheaply, but when they are a requirement, its just batty.

If you read the OP Isbjörn Story, you will notice that the Soviets are doing all they can do be able to attack Scandinavia without provoking NATO. Its the reason why the Swedish Air Force (aside from its size) are so dominant. Norway cannot commit more squadrons without dragging NATO into the war. There is no war between NATO and Warsaw Pact in any of the Campaigns, so yes, the Danes will be included with similar restrictions. In OP Isbjörn, they was not present, but NATO tried to talk them into joining. However, the crisis in Hungary the same year made the Danes wary of their own borders. They alongside with the Norwegians will be based out of Finland, start a little later then the rest and be the hammer while Sweden is the Anvil.

I am not that big a simmer on the PC, really. I tried Falcon once a few years back and did not even get off the ground. I suspect I ought to give it another try sometime. :P With its combination of modding, simlight (I do turn off HUD and radar is HARD) and community, SF2 is perfect for me.

The Tunnan is using a Hunter cockpit. It may be a bug on TKs part, or simply that the cockpit dont add upp much with the Aircraft. No clue to what may be causing it, and to fix even less of a clue. Sorry.

Its a CGR according to the game. Choose your target, launch the missile. There are no deeper mechanics to it, sadly. (Medium settings for me)

Any enemy who would have seen those birds diving down upon them would be sensing Doom :)

Ten years have passed since what is commonly called "The Soviet War" in Sweden and Finland. Many hoped that the end of the war would result in a lasting peace for Scandinavia. Both Sweden and Finland openly applies for membership in NATO to protect themselves from the horrors of war and a nuclear bomb program is now a joint-effort between both countries. Despite this, as a gesture of good faith, Soviet sells Finland a number of MiG-21 Figthers and MiG-15 UTI Training aircraft. In 1965, a report is sent to Moscow by the extremist left of Sweden. It claims a nuclear bomb is less then a year away, a shock to the Union who expected such a weapon to be at least five years away. During this time, demonstrations - part of the global peace movement - break out in Sweden and Finland. The leaders of both countries suspect Soviet involvement, and raise funds to the military. February 1966, a small force under Lauri Törni is arrested at a naval base in Murmansk. Suspected as sabotours and spies, they are tried and sent to prison, while Sweden and Finland denies involvement. A few days later, the prison convoy is ambushed with the guards either dead or suspected captured by the unknown attackers. Törnis team is also missing. Soviet angrily demands the surrender of Törni to their custody or war may be declared. While Törni in a press conference from Washington DC agrees to surrender himself, it is clear that war cannot be averted. The report about the nuclear bomb is spooking the Soviets to such a degree that they have declared that they will attack. Knowing that the Swedish Air Force is the key to victory for Scandinavia, they make plans to almost entirely bypass Finland and attack Sweden directly. NATO Agents, active within the Union catch wind of the plans and send them to Stockholm. They choose the plan Mannerheims Shield as their best hope for survival...
