Makes my 27 years in the RAF look a bit lame -
Looks like the one from 'Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines' film - was it the French or Italian pilot?

I have a book that gives details of every victory by MvR, including details and background of most of his victims. Very interesting as it has photos, colour illustrations as well as factual data of time, types, locations etc. -
You may find the default view only shows part of the skin. You can adjust the view display on the top tool bar to show the full view. Also, if you start on the first skin of the aircraft you want to view then use the black arrow (forward) icon, you can scroll through each skin.

I remember my Triumph Spitfire Mk.3 (Reg JJM 3H -1971) - One of the last built. I recall an occasion when I was tuning the twin carbs with the engine running and using a 'colour tune' at one of the spark plugs. It replaced the plug and gave you a combustion colour that you used to gauged the mixture strength. I was sat on the drivers side fgront wheel adjusting the two carbs whilst leaning over the engine block to peer down colour tune. The garage door was shut to block out the daylight so I could see the colour changes more easily. Yup - you guessed it - the tip of my nose touched the HT lead!! I remember waking up and being sat in the corner of the garage, cross eyed and wondering what day of the week it was!!!

Hi Richard, If OK PM me and email her over to you.
-
Hi Rich, I've updated the first post in this thread with the two versions, which are inbound to you. Enjoy.
-
NP - my pleasure. I've tweakled it a bit with the addition of wing foot plates/foot step and wood cockpit decking. Also a version with 'Welsh' green upper wing surfaces - a tad loud but its an option if you wanted to fly that instead. Check your PM for my email addy - mail me and I'll return both versions to you tomorrow (I'm at my daughters overnight tonight).

£1m Question for The OBD skinners
sandbagger replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hi all, Well as OvS, Paarma and Makai have said, skinning for OFF becomes a passion. In my time with the team I've skinned the Sopwith Camel, SE5 Viper, SE5 HS, Spad X.III, Halberstadt D.II, Nieuport 24/24 bis, Nieuport 28, De-Havilland DH5 in addition to re-skinning the RE8, Bristol Scout and most recently the Sopwith Pup. Like the other OFF skinners, very many skins over very many long days and nights. To pick particular favorites in nigh impossible, but here's a few that, for me, have proved a challege and therefore some satisfaction when completed. In order of appearance: SE5 of No.60 Squadron, RFC flown by William J C K Cochran-Patrick. Sopwith Camel of No.9 Squadron, RNAS, 1917 flown by Harold F Stackard. Sopwith Camel of No.3 Squadron, RNAS, 1917 flown by Lloyd Samual Breadner. Sopwith Camel of No.10 Squadron, RNAS, 1918 flown by Alfred William 'Nick' Carter. Sopwith Camel of No.10 Squadron, RNAS, 1917 flown by Hugh Bingham Maund. Spad X.III on ESC (SPA) 88, 1918 flown by Arthur Marie Marcel Coadou. Spad X.III on ESC (SPA) 80, 1918 flown by Paul Frank Baer. Spad X.III on ESC (SPA) 112, 1918 flown by Fernand Henti Chavannes. -
Very, very nice - it has everything - congratulations on a great pirceof work

PLEASE POST NEW DESKTOP Wallpapers
sandbagger replied to Morris's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I think the chances of P4 desktops is pretty remote, given that it's still in the development stage. However, the team may post a few showing enhanced aircraft from existing/previous OFF Phase releases or more HITR shots - maybe. -

I can see BBMF from my upstairs window - if I see a 'For Sale' sign I'll let you know. Actually this was muted a few weeks ago but was denied in the local press - we'll see. -
Escadrilles 15 and 102 missing their Nupe 11s
sandbagger replied to Hasse Wind's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hi Hasse Wind, Funnily enough 'Shred' and me spoke yesterday about possibly filling in missing N.11 aircraft skins. The originals were created by Rabu, but not all of the squads or aces were represented. We're nearly done updating, and adding to, the Sopwith Pup skins so maybe can hit this next? -

Not enough dihedral on the wings - Sopwith design maybe ??? -
William Wellman's Nieuport 24
sandbagger replied to RAF_Louvert's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Ho Lou, Problem solved. I did create this one - in fact it was the first N.24 produced. However, it was switched to the stock ESC 87 skin for release as we concentrated on covering all of the squad stock skins as a priority. The ace skins were put on hold until after the release. As 'Shred' said, no problem, it was just we knew we'd seen it before, albeit during the early stages for the N.24. -

sandbagger replied to RAF_Louvert's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hi Lou, Ahh I see - NP - I thought I'd skinned that particular aircraft when I did all of the N.24s, so thought we'd doubled up on that particular version. Anyway, I've contacted 'Shred' to see what other ace skins we might be able to start for a future release maybe. -

Did you check the squad stock skins - I recognise that skin and am sure I skinned it ? -
For those addicted to WWI sims
sandbagger replied to Bandy's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Nuff said I think guys - as always 'each to his own'. As the OFF forum anyone would reasonably expect a certain degree of bias. But at the end of the day every WW1 sim/game has its devotees and critics in equal measure. Anyway, regarding OFF scenery and for those who feel its currently good - just wait until you see what Winder has up his sleeve -
Best way to view ACE Skins?
sandbagger replied to Kamikaze's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Another free application is called 'Irfanview' - unlike DXT you can select the skins folder and move from one skin to the next. I think in DXT you can only view one at a time. http://www.irfanview.com/ -
Interesting development.....
