I think that the Air Forces and Navies would be the main drive in this war, Finland looks like waterworld with islands thrown in!! The terrain i made has about 150 bridges in it, so imagine trying to cross all those successfully. I don't have a movement.ini file either, so I might do a little work at sometime. Just gotta find some time now. -

Hi Guys, I actually have my own terrain, not as big as the recent release but it extends further south into estonia and latvia, goes down to Chernyakovvsk AB and if you increase the boundary a little bit, you could get Gdansk, poland in there as well. This stuff here is awesome, I have been so busy with life, new addition to the family, (already playing with planes and helicopters, good boy) new job etc.... that i havent expanded on it. My terrain has over 400 target sites and is finished completely. With rivers, roads and bridges everywhere on Finland and Sweden. Just like to add a few more road bases, do a nice planning map and write a campaign during the 1983 whiskey on the rocks debacle when a russian sub got beached on a sandbank near Karlskrona, also in 1981, russian subs were caught in swedish waters. I have a squadron list from the period and have done some Viggen and Draken squadron skins. I have a post here somewhere about it, but as life is go go go, basically from 6am, until 7.30pm, my time is not my own, not that i am complaining my little man is well worth it. Hey davo, that worked. I Also tried repacking extracted CAT files with the new CAT tools, but no joy unfortunately. But the menu folder in the mod folder trick worked so that will do... Thanx for that davo. Oh and my CH files work. It must have reckonised the files after rebooting. ???? -

Thanx for the replies guys, yes MB it is a merged install, I can still see all the folders and all files are still there. I'll try the CAT extractor and see if that works, but it seems no one else has this problem. -

Hi guys, Am i missing something because I have done the old rename all mod folders, copy the Europe2.exe, rename to game mod, run game once, delete newly created folders and name the old ones back, it works because the patch date in the corner is May2011, but all the menu's and music is gone from the other mods. e.g. Falklands/korea/taiwan all have the SF2 intro screen and music. Any one else get this? Also I have just found out that my control key commands for my CH products are not working. The assigned buttons are deleted from the assigned commands and are replaced with unassigned. -

Hi all, I have been trying to make a decent planning map for my sweden/finland terrain and would like to know where if possible do you sectional aeronautical charts like the germanyCE map? Concrete base

Hi guys, just wondering has anyone tried to create a concrete like slab to go as a base for target area's? I have targets like a factory or something on a grass tile and i just want a nice grey or light grey slab under it. Just looking to finish of my sweden terrain. -

Hi guys, anyone got a fix for the viggen not having a shadow? I have tried removing the 2 lines from the Cast shadow section in the ini file. I am running merged install with win7 SF2 Anyone? -

Yeah wrench, just tried it and still no shadows. The pilots shadow is there, but no viggen shadow. I have tried puting another SHD file and using that but it still doesn't work. Any tutorials on shadow making? cheers -
Road Airfield?

Hi guys, trying to put the road airfield into my swedish terrain but its not showing up in the game. The actual tile is not showing up at all. Ive added all the files from the road airfield DL here, I have the germanyg-roadSH file listed in my data.ini and in my texturelist, but no go. The airfield is there with its camonets, but no roadSH tile. I added the tile at a much later date than the rest but that shouldn't make a difference should it? cheers -

That's right, i was saving the texturelist.ini using notepad after i had made the alterations. I wsn't saving it from within the TE Cheers wrench, i'll get this terrain finished yet. -

Got it to work now. I was altering the texturelist using notepad and manually entering the entris, apparantely it works only when you import the new bmp via the TE. Thats all i had to do to make it work. That took me 2 weeks to resolve even before i tried you guys here. Cheers anyway wrench.. -

Disappearing bridges

Hi guys, i am trying to convert my swedish terrain from WoE to WoE2 standard. Now, the bridges all work in SF1 series, but for some reason i cant get them and there targets to appear in SF2, the only work in single miisions when i actually have them as my target. I am using the stock bridges and everyting else is working fine. Any answers? Cheers -

Oh dear.................... What a noob!!!! I had an old target.ini file in the folder. I thought it weird that only a few bridges were turning up. So i checked out the target.ini and only had 353 target ares in it. I thought, thats odd i'm sure i had more. Well i did, i must have accidentally deleted the last 50 entries. Lucky for me i backed up!!!!!!!! Thanx anyway Wrench. -

Hi guys, have standalone SF2E with Exp2 installed, works fine but i noticed that the FGA.9, 51, 6 and 5 models, when i retract the landing gear, a hole appears in the wing. Any body else or just me? SF2 and directx kill old games

Purchased SF2 and SF2E the other day, love it!!!! But........... Well, i have windows 7, Nvidia GTX 9800, intel quad core Q9300, both updated to latest drivers and my Enemy Engaged game worked on this system before i installed SF2 Europe. Now the only change made when i check restore points was that it installed directx, when SF2 was installed. I have tried installing EE after, tried runing in compatability mode, tried running the installer in compat. mode but it refuses to run after SF install. My only hope is to dual boot (i have 2 HD) with xp and win7. I know EE runs on xp as well. Anyone else got any better ideas? Cheers -

Ladies and gents, I am happy. I just did a complete install of win7, installed SF series games, then my EEAH and EECH combo, and viola!!!!!! I didn't install the latest Nvidia drivers and it works. Thats what killed them in the first place. My apologies to the SF series of games for blaming them. Cheers all! -

Yes Doc, I run ccleaner to get rid of any registry values and did a clean install. What system are u running? What version of directx do you have? It maybe my graphics card/matherboard, or both that are doing it. My wife has a laptop and i tried installing both on that and it works. She has an ATI card and directx 10. If it's my system then i don't mind having a dual boot, just like to know if i can avoid that scenario thats all -
Hi everyone, has anybody got any tips on how to get the rivers to nicrly slope down towards the ocean? my swedeish terrain looks good but the rivers are a little up and down. cheers

Thanx for the replies gents. I am going to continue using the level airfield option. It may not come out as smooth as i want it to but when you are flying over the rivers at altitude and speed, i really don't think you will notice. Cheers guys
