Indian Air Force on high alert

See? This is exactly what I meant. If they were really sincere and open minded and had nothing to hide, they would have been more transparent in their investigations. -
Indian Air Force on high alert

So did the innocent civilians in Mumbai and all over the country before and on 26-11-2008. For what were reason were they shot & executed? Just because someone does not like the freedom that we enjoy and the way we live?? Now that its proven that the terrorists were of particular foreign nationality, they had support and training from terrorist organisations & that nation's Intelligence Organisation( which by the way has now become a government within a government). These particular people, and i am emphasizing the word "particular", not the whole nation, to be caught and given the severest possible punishment. The terror camps, terrorists & infrastructure must be shut down permanently( and not temporarily). And no one's taking of killing people of a particular nationality, just probable strikes on terror camps and its supporting infrastructure. Killing innocent civilians is wrong, so was the massacre in Mumbai. Musn't the people responsible be punished and put through the same pain that the people who lost loved ones in these attacks are going through? Who knows if no action is taken, how long before another 26/11 happens again in Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata or another major Indian city???? The people want answers and concrete action against terrorists and these responsible for the attacks in the past and present. May be they don't realise it, If that country takes concrete action and punishes the ones responsible severely, that would go a long long way in cementing indo-Pak friendly ties. Ball is their court. -

US : Indian's air force 'on alert' after Mumbai attacks The question how many innocent Indians must die and how many times our country must be attacked before some sort of concrete action is taken against the terrorists? None of my countrymen have forgotten attacks on India's parliament, Jaipur, Delhi bombings and the Mumbai train bombings, all of which had................. I mean look at Israel for an example or look at what President Bush did with Musharaff after 9/11 -"either you are with us or against us. if you are against us, prepare to face the consequences". Events in the past couple of days haven't helped things either. Sparko, You think its a joke? Its easy to sit in your home and say what you want and place bets. But what if your country faced continuous attacks of these sorts from a neighbour and what if you had concrete evidence of of your neighbour's involvement just because they don't like the way you live? -

I urge you people to read about the events that preceded the 1947, 65 ,71 & 99 wars. One can easily draw parallels to events from those wars. History is witness to the fact that the indian armed forces have acted in self-defence in all the wars. The IAF does not want a repeat of the supposed "israel like pre-emptive strikes" on indian airfields by our adversary. That they failed miserably in the previous wars is another matter. This time, their allies are not with them. Besides, india has an openly declared non-first use of nukes policy. As for pakistan doing more against terrorism, i consider it no longer appropriate to comment on this forum. Eventhough the whole world knows how sincerely that country is acting against terror!!!! -

Navy within law to sink pirated ship: Mehta New Delhi, Dec 2 (PTI) Strongly defending the sinking of a Thai fishing trawler in Gulf of Aden a fortnight ago, Indian Navy chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta today said the Indian warship was within law and had done nothing wrong by striking at a pirated ship in self defence. "I want to set the record straight, there is nothing that the navy has done wrong. And it is perfectly within law. Even if the ship had been pirated just at that morning," Mehta told reporters here. He said INS Tabar, a stealth guided missile frigate, had been in anti-piracy patrol for over a month now and it had done a commendable work. However, he expressed unhappiness over the claims of a Thai fishing company, and said the ship had been pirated and was put to use by the Somali sea brigands for activities that was against the laws of the seas. "The fact remains that the Thai trawler was a pirated trawler. For all practical purposes and all rules of engagement the world over is that if they fire at men of war, we jolly well retaliate," Mehta said. He asserted that further investigation had clearly revealed that the fishing trawler was used in the Gulf of Aden for a very long time for activities it should not have been doing. Questioning the motives of the fishing trawler, the Navy chief said the ship had stocked large quantities of ammunition that led to it breaking into a huge, bright fireball after the Indian Navy warship fired at it. 26 foreigners killed included eight Israelis, five Americans, two French nationals, two Australians, two Canadians, a German, a Japanese, a British Cypriot, an Italian, a Singaporean, a Thai and a Mauritian. More than 150 Indian citizens killed. Indian security forces lost 15 men from the Mumbai Police(including Ant-terrorist Squad), 2 men from the National Security Guard, 1 from Railway Police, 1 from the Home Guard. It was a tearful final good-bye to the martyred soldiers wrapped in the tri-colour as they set out on their final journey . Salute to the Mumbai Fire Brigade, who in face of gunfire from the terrorist went about doing their job of putting out teh fires adn tried to rescue as many peopel as the ycould from the top floors of the Taj Hotel. Its been revealed by the captured terrorist that they planned to blow up the Taj Hotel as well as the Oberoi . The mad men underestimated the strenngth of the 100+ year old Taj building.

I want to live : Captured terrorist This fellow should be tortured everday of his miserable life.
-
The name of the operation by the Indian security forces was "Operation Black Tornado". The number of dead has risen to 195. It will go up even further.
-
Operations are finally over. Just moments ago. it has been confirmed that all terrorists inside the Taj have been gunned down. This morning there was clip of what looked a terrorist falling down from a window of the first floor of the hotel. One terrorist has been caught alive. The terrorist would set a place on teh hotel on fire to divert attaention of the commandos. But the commandos braved the fires to hunt the terrorists down. There have been NSG, Marine & Army Commandos causualties in these operations. Had there not bee nany hostaes, these operations would have been over within hours. But in an attempt to save the hostages, some commandos sacrificed their lives. I have nothing but deep respect & gratitude for these men. "Go home, tell them of us, and say for your tomorrow, we gave up our today".`

Operation are almosts over. Hotel Oberoi & Nariman House secure. But sadly, 5 Israeli hostages at Nariman House were found dead along with the two terrorists. One terroris still holed up in Hotel Taj Mahal and firing is still going on. These terrorists brougyt lots of weapons and ammunitions, dry fruits. They were in for the long haul. Salute to the brave men of Marine Commandos, NSG, Army and Police who went braved gunfire & grenades to rescue the hostages and kill the terrorists.

Thanks for the support, my friend. Some Israelis, Jews & a Rabbi are still trapped in a place called Nariman House. Operations are on by NSG commandos to free them. An IAF Mi-17 helicopter came in and dropped commandos on the roof of the house and the gunner is firing at the building as i write this. The Indian Navy stealth frigate INS Tabar used its A-190 100-mm cannon to smash this pirate mothership to bits on the evening of 18 November, 385 nautical miles south-west of Salalah port in Oman.

Highly interesting: Red Flag lecture

Has anyone noticed how After Cope India 04, the apparent beating that F-15 got (or was it made look that way), USAF pushed for the F-22 to be procured in large numbers. Now Mr Fernoff comes in and says someting sounding like - the F-22 can beat the hell out of the Su. NO doubt its true. But now it just seems like a game played to push for more numebr of F-22s. A final word from India on "Youtube Terry" . On one hand we have USAF generals & officers claiming they are very happy to have IAF at Red Flag and would like to have them in the future as well. On the other hand we have an American officer who thinks Tumansky engines power the Su or that the Bison is fitted with an Israeli radar(its fitted with the Russian multi-mode Kopyo radar). As someone said earlier or meant that the IAF has not reacted, well read this Just goes on to show what the IAF thinks of the pilot. -

ghostrider883 replied to ghostrider883's topic in Military and General Aviation
The single seat variant of the aircraft was meant to replace IAF's large fleet of MiG-21s and perform duties what it did i.e CAP, CAS, light strike etc. However, delays meant IAF looking for other fighters to replace the MiG-21s, hence the IAF MMRCA saga. The twin seater would be a trainer, it can be adpated in combat role. Probably used as a dedicated precision strike aircraft , the way IAF uses its Mirage 2000THs. A Naval variant is also under development to arm India's Indigenous Aircraft Carrier, with a raised cockpit, drooping nose, strengthened landing gear, hook etc. -

India is planning to send two Navy Dornier/HAL Do-228s for aerial surveilance of the area. They are to be based in either Oman or Djibouti.
