For info and as an update, I'm currently in the process of completing the VMFA-531 story and compiling these missions packs into a single pack - revamped to work with the Oct 2008 patch. In total you'll have about 65 single missions to load and work through for April 1965. With this update my goal is to simplify the number of pre-reqs (as some of these are difficult to come by nowadays) and I may even look into a single self-contained installer with bespoke in-game menu system. I still have some work to do on this but it's coming. Need to confer with a few folks first though. Watch this space! Regards, comrpnt :-)

Correct! Looking at the approach lights, which look like part of one of my earlier uploads for SFP1, you need to extract the latest Airfield.ini file from the Terrain CAT file, open it and copy everything between the first statement "[Runway001]" up to (but not including) "[DRMModel]". Paste these lines into you existing Airfield_layout .ini file to replace the old style parking and taxi statements. This problem is caused by the approach lights mod using the pre-Oct 2008 Airfield.ini files as their base ('cause the mod came out before Oct 2008 ;-) ). Ideally I should update these lighting mods but haven't had the time. It's simple to fix though. Let me know if you're still having problems. Cheers, regards, comrpnt.

Hi Guys... Malibu, why not adopt a period in time, or better still a unit or squadron and go with mission packs for them for that period. Similar to my VMFA-531 journey during April 1965. Then you can tell that part of the Vietnam story through the decade. I believe that KB has similar intentions. I'll be giving this my full attention shortly - my ODS stuff is very nearly done. I recommend looking at my tribute to Lt Cdr Dennis Pike - as it shows similar historic detail to the archives KB has quoted, as provided by gwar. This particular mission pack also contains a few other things I'm looking into, in terms of style - such as minimizing the number of pre-reqs required to get it working, and using HTML as the readme AND briefing guide. Also, because of the way it's written, there should be no reason why missions with this type of content are restricted to pre or post October 2008 patches. I keep both installs on my system so can easily test a mission against either version. I'll be happy to provide skeleton mission (.msn) files and planning maps to help get people started in WOV. Hi Killerbee, I'm intending to finish the VMFA-531 April 1965 mission packs I started a while back. There's one more pack left to do and I'll be re-vamping them to work with the October 2008 patch for WOV. My intention was to remove the dependencies I had in the existing packs and roll them all into one large download - so if you could leave that historical story for me to finish I'd appreciate it.
