  3. I tried the full remove/reinstall routines but it didnt work for me. Strange things happened. Hangups, CTD, etc. So i recopied my patch #1 game from a backup and installed patch #2. I also added the new weapons pack (see simhq). I did update all my terrains with the new desert.cat file but thats it. Everything i tried so far has worked. Granted, i havent tried everything yet. So far, so good. savagcl

  6. go to the following site. Click on the words "weapons overlay" (wait for a new mini window to open). Move the mouse over the name (s) of a weapon (on the full page). A good way to show the loadout positions for types of weapons. Maybe the modders here could use something like this for whatever...   8. I'm using the default viewdata.ini. In the "shoulder view" (external) F5 key, the plane shows as it should (a few feet behind the plane), When i use the POV to get different angles of the plane it will hold that setting for a couple seconds then return back to the rear of the plane. Is there a way to get the plane to stay where i set the view position and not return to the default position?? Sometimes i like to view above, under, head-on, and side views plus it would enhance any screen shots.....
  9. A while ago i loaded (or made) a mod to the views that changed the chase view to left-side back toward the tail of the ac. I dont remember if it was a mod or just instructions. I would like to revert back to the "normal" chase view but i dont have and cant find that mod anywhere. How do i change this external view back to the standard position? thanks,

  11. Bad terminology there, I meant the "shoulder view". Would appreciate it if someone (who did not mod the viewlist.ini) would post the original [ViewClass006] data and the [View017] data from the viewlist.ini file in the flight folder. thanks,

  13. There is a typo in the weapondada.ini addon rockets (LE Matra 155) This is the correction: RocketTypeName=HydraHE I didnt find the answer, some of the smarter guys over at simhq did. Works and flies great! Good plane, good work!.. I'm a happy camper now! :D
  14. Harrier AC: Some people over at simhq are having a problem with a missle.dll file, causing the game to CTD. They are currently looking for typo's. I was geting an error, after installation, but can't remember if its the same one. I thought i had removed or reverted all files back to the previous game status but finally had to restore the game (thank whoever for backups). Anyone else having this problem? Know of a fix? thanks, savagcl PS: I did go through the weapon/gun editor.

  16. Post the size of the vid. It would save a lot of time for those who are still on dialup and maybe dont have the time now, but could make it an overnighter. I'm glad i'm on high speed. Didn't know how much i was missing with a dialup.
  17. I kinda like seeing the gun flashes (no hud via delete key) but if the smoke could be turned down some and enable viewing the target. Actually, the smoke and gun flashes togeather take a big hit on fps so maybe a medium turn down on both would be great. Just a suggestion, savagkc
  18. I went to MS and got their (latest?) package of codex's and the movie workded fine. Guess they updated something...... Good movie, love the double explosion on one of the MIG's.
  19. Bear, vid wouldnt play on wmp, irfanview, divx, etc. i need to check my codex's but pretty sure i have all current (and some older ) ones.
  20. D*mn, thats good!!!!!!! Would sure like a copy of that mod when its ready Do you need e-mails or will you be posting it somewhere?? Can those same effects be applied to hangers, buildings, tanks, etc? I ask because those types of explosions really dont last long enough and the smoke/fire disappears real fast also. Sitting here with my hand out saying, "gimme, gimme". Good work there!

  22. Inland looks great, well done. Dont know if my sys or scenery file but along the shore line whenever a piece of land sticks out into the ocean, the land is there but the rest of that tile is a uniform grey (until the next tile starts with ocean. Maybe a tweak is needed???? good job,
