  1. go check modding and skinning forum for ATTENTION COYOTE
  2. Damn Yote, you got me salivating like a rabid dog...Pukin' Dog...lol over your new undertaking. I'm pouring through all my specs and data now. I feel like I'm in flight school all over again!!! If you want the proper data for the variable geometry wings, send me an email. I don't wanna post that much info to the public, or use all of MJ's db space for that matter. The tech manual for that is 428 pages and thats just the working dynamics and computerized controls!!! As you know the Cat's variable geometry wings are controlled by the computer throughout the entire flight envelope. This, while hard to model exactly for a game, is very efficient, as the pilot has one less set of calculations to make while he's in flight. If you need the data for the lantrin, I can give you what I can, but all I can give you, you can find anywhere on the net, as most is still classified, and they might have to kill me if I told you...lol... well not that extreme, but it would cost me my job! Now for the questions I got. Are you doing the A model or A+? Which engines are you incorporating, the PW-TF30-P412, or the GE F101-GE-400? If you are doing the A model will you include the glove vanes on the end of the wing roots, for the added stability? The only other question I have is, what else can I help with?
  3. here's the tarps schematic (a sh**ty one from a manual I have) If you want to include the tarps pod this will help to show you where the cameras are and where they can view Components of the TARPS pod are shown in this schematic. Forward looking and horizon to horizon panoramic cameras, as well as an infrared reconnasance set. The adapter allows the pod to be mounted to station 5. (right rear station beneath the fuselage) The overall length of the pod is 206.5 in, and it is 26.5 in wide there is no noticable effect of this pod when added, aside from a slight buffet at high speeds, when flying low altitude The controls for the pod are located on the left lower console in the rear seat. Thank god I don't have to turn those damn knobs anymore!!!
  4. s**t HOT I don't fly the MiGs, but damn thats nice OUTSTANDING WORK
  5. I got a flight manual that will put those 3 all in the childrens categories. LOL
  6. 2 things!!! XO you are drowning me with recruits!!!! OUTFU**KINGSTANDING Keep em coming. JOB WELL DONE Another Our squadron is growing rapidly nowadays, I feel that the great recruiting effort by our XO has paid off 10 fold. This squad is pulling together nicely as a team and as individual combat pilots. We have welcomed aboard 3 recruits just yesterday. Now we total 10 pilots, 10 of the best flight simmers I have had the pleasure to fly with. If you would like to join these fine pilots in this fine squadron, read the top of this thread for the requirements, or visit http://www.pukindogs.net and email the XO or myself HAVE A FINE NAVY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you XO for all the effort And thank you MJ for the space to post things such as this. We appreciate all you do for this community A big <S> from =(VF143)=
  7. I'm laughing my ass off too XO...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BORESIGHT... learn it, use it, love it!!! We will practice that this week. you can use the boresight radar on ground targets as well. First select A2G then select the boresight, aim at the target get the yellow box and blow the f**ker off the map
  8. OK color update These values produce a red smoke to start, that turns from red to purple to blue to a lighter blue at the end of the trail ParticleColorTableType=TABLE ParticleColor[01].Time=0.000000 ParticleColor[01].Value=0.842554,0.642554,0.542554,0.942554 ParticleColor[02].Time=0.009000 ParticleColor[02].Value=0.742554,0.642554,0.942554,0.542554 ParticleColor[03].Time=0.750000 ParticleColor[03].Value=0.542554,0.842554,0.842554,0.742554 ParticleColor[04].Time=1.000000 ParticleColor[04].Value=0.742554,0.542554,0.742554,0.942554 Enjoy
  9. Where can I find out about the color values used here????
  10. Youuuuuu_Whooooooo, where are U?

Sorry about the many same posts. It said error when I tried to submit my reply, so I tried a couple more times. I didnt realize it posted anyway.
  11. Youuuuuu_Whooooooo, where are U?

As for Janes USAF, I just bought it last week for $9.99 at Comp USA by my house. I haven't installed it yet, therefore I haven't got to play it yet! Do you guys know of some good sites around the web for info/downloads for this game? Also got Xplane that I dont fly at all. I got ver 5.xxxx and everyone says I need 6 oh well Story of my life Speaking of more accurate sims, has anyone played Digital Integration's F/A-18E Super hornet?? This sim is very accurate in the FM and the Avionics. The cockpit is very realistic as well with multiple buttons, knobs, bells, and whistles. Hell you can even toy with the color and brightness of the HUD while in flight with the corresponding buttons. (just like real life) Well to the point. While very realistic, this game is sooo complicated that it's impossible to have fun. There are 50000 to do just to get the plane off the damn ground. Once in flight there are double the amount of things to do. I had a hell of a time with it. setup was a bi**h, not to mention the 298 page manual. And yes it was a must to read.
  12. I tried with just -4.0 for a value and it only emitted smoke at -4.0G This is why so many numbers
  13. Here's the new size and color.
  14. O.K. here's the latest findings. After writing a somewhat lengthy tutorial on using the smoke, I found it simpler than I first thought. the first entry in your particlesystem.ini should read as follows: [EmitterType001] Name=WingtipVortexEmitter EmissionType=POINT_EMITTER UpdateType=NON_MOVING MaxVisibleDistance=10000.000000 EmissionRate=0.20000 ParticleUpdateType=RANDOM_MOVING ParticleRenderType=CONNECTED_SPRITE ParticleLifeTime=18.000000 ParticleWeight=0.00000 ParticleWindFactor=0.5 ParticleColorTableType=TABLE ParticleColor[01].Time=0.000000 ParticleColor[01].Value=0.300000,0.400000,0.500000,0.00000 ParticleColor[02].Time=0.009000 ParticleColor[02].Value=0.300000,0.500000,0.300000,0.400000 ParticleColor[03].Time=0.750000 ParticleColor[03].Value=0.300000,0.400000,0.000000,0.500000 ParticleColor[04].Time=1.000000 ParticleColor[04].Value=0.500000,0.400000,0.300000,0.000000 ParticleSizeTableType=TABLE ParticleSize[01].Time=0.000000 ParticleSize[01].Value=0.0250000 ParticleSize[02].Time=0.500000 ParticleSize[02].Value=3.600000 ParticleSize[03].Time=1.000000 ParticleSize[03].Value=6.000000 TextureMaterial=SmokeTrailMaterial The ParticleSize values that are bold reflect the biggest noticable difference in size. The entry for the ContrailEmitter should read as follows: [EmitterType004] Name=ContrailEmitter EmissionType=POINT_EMITTER UpdateType=NON_MOVING MaxVisibleDistance=10000.000000 EmissionRate=0.20000 ParticleUpdateType=RANDOM_MOVING ParticleRenderType=CONNECTED_SPRITE ParticleLifeTime=18.000000 ParticleWeight=0.00000 ParticleWindFactor=0.5 ParticleColorTableType=TABLE ParticleColor[01].Time=0.000000 ParticleColor[01].Value=0.300000,0.400000,0.500000,0.00000 ParticleColor[02].Time=0.009000 ParticleColor[02].Value=0.300000,0.500000,0.300000,0.400000 ParticleColor[03].Time=0.750000 ParticleColor[03].Value=0.300000,0.400000,0.000000,0.500000 ParticleColor[04].Time=1.000000 ParticleColor[04].Value=0.500000,0.400000,0.300000,0.000000 ParticleSizeTableType=TABLE ParticleSize[01].Time=0.000000 ParticleSize[01].Value=0.800000 ParticleSize[02].Time=0.01000 ParticleSize[02].Value=0.800000 ParticleSize[03].Time=0.500000 ParticleSize[03].Value=50.000000 ParticleSize[04].Time=1.000000 ParticleSize[04].Value=100.000000 TextureMaterial=SmokeTrailMaterial The colors are a matter of tweaking numbers. I don't know the relation between numbers and colors but the one thing I noticed is that if the value starts with 1.xxxxx it will be white no matter what. Starting with 0.xxx I have been able to change the smoke shades. I will highlight this as well. Enjoy
  15. Thank you Sir <S> I'll see what I can come up with for colors and size and update ASAP
  16. If you guys need help with this, or a better explanation, I have a longer tutorial. I emailed to MJ, and will send to you guys if you need!
  17. OK guys I got it !!!! open your particlesystem.ini, the first emitter you see( [001] ) is the wing tip vortex emitter. Copy the AirshowSmokeEmitter in its place, but leave the name like this: WingtipVortexEmitter And leave the emitter number [001] EXAMPLE: [EmitterType001] Name=WingtipVortexEmitter EmissionType=POINT_EMITTER UpdateType=NON_MOVING MaxVisibleDistance=10000.000000 EmissionRate=0.20000 ParticleUpdateType=RANDOM_MOVING ParticleRenderType=CONNECTED_SPRITE ParticleLifeTime=18.000000 ParticleWeight=0.00000 ParticleWindFactor=0.5 ParticleColorTableType=TABLE ParticleColor[01].Time=0.000000 ParticleColor[01].Value=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,0.00000 ParticleColor[02].Time=0.009000 ParticleColor[02].Value=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,0.900000 ParticleColor[03].Time=0.750000 ParticleColor[03].Value=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,0.100000 ParticleColor[04].Time=1.000000 ParticleColor[04].Value=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,0.000000 ParticleSizeTableType=TABLE ParticleSize[01].Time=0.000000 ParticleSize[01].Value=0.0080000 ParticleSize[02].Time=0.020000 ParticleSize[02].Value=4.800000 ParticleSize[03].Time=0.850000 ParticleSize[03].Value=16.000000 TextureMaterial=SmokeTrailMaterial I also did this for the ContrailEmitter Next, open the folder of the aircraft you want to apply smoke to. open the data.ini and paste this into the left and right outer wing entries: 19. Come fly with us in hyperlobby We'll talk about that kick ass squadron
  20. I tried the engine setup, but i moved the exhaust position to the wing tip position. This produced smoke from my starboard wingtip. This however moves the afterburner to the wings also. NOT GOOD I'll keep you posted as to the progress
  21. I NEED TO QUIT SMOKING!!! HELP!!!

Friday's a comin' in a few hours...You ready XO?? I'm outta smokes and not gonna buy any in the next hour so best of luck Skipper <S>
  22. North Korea? Interfer?

On a more serious note, I think you may be right about that Weasel. They are a desperate bunch, and are known to be a bit shady! If the matters pressing can be resolved in a peaceful way, it most definately would save lives, not to mention tax dollars and possible embarassment in the international scheme of things. But at the same time they need a good ol fashioned ass whoopin. They need to know that because we are busy on the other side of the world, they don't have the right to break nuclear treaties open like an egg, nor spit in the face of the international community, all the while spouting off their defiance. So it's a toss up. Nowadays everyone wants to pussyfoot around. Everyone's in fear of conflict. in a word too touchy-feely. This probably limits the option for combat, as red tape is bound to snarl any administration's best efforts to wage a war nowadays. Personally, I say kick the sh*t out of em. We really don't need a rebelious communist nation causing problems for the rest of the world, or another cold war for that matter. So whatever it is that they do, they better be decisive about it, and brook no sh*t. Be hardnosed and take charge of the situation, before it gets way out of hand.
  23. SUUUUUWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTT!!!!!! SIERRA HOTEL Great work on that beauty <S>
