  1. "Tiger" SPAD

    Version

    152 downloads

I've done Tiger skins for Il2 and WOE and even for Red Baron (though that was necessarily basic) so i thought i'd give it a go for FE. Decals are stock and if you want to make this a USAS skin you'll need to play around with the .ini files.
  2. "Bavarian" DVIIF

    Version

Here's a "just for fun" skin you might like to look at , it features the colours of the Bavarian State Flag. I've left the stock Decals in the Zip , everything else is my fault :))
  3. Hey all , i expect there's an easy answer to this (probably posted already somewhere) but can anyone tell me how i can use a SPAD skin on both US and French squadrons without using any specific squadrons? For example :- could i use the french tan schemes on US Spads and have US insignia or would i need to copy and rename the skins and alter the .ini ? Hope someone can help, thx.
  4. FE skins problem

    Sorry for double post
  5. FE skins problem

Ok i'll try to explain more clearly as on re-reading i can see that was a bit confusing, soz. I've made a few skins just for fun and my own use , for example , a SPAD skin set up for use by ESC 3 , then i've tried using it for a USAS squadron but it still shows ESC 3 markings. What i would like to do is install skins that can be used by French or USAS squads and show the markings appropriate to the squad i've chosen . be it French or USAS. What i want to know is , do i have to install the same skin under different names set up for each nation , or is there a way to make them available to both French and USAS ? Hope this is clearer and that someone can help

File Name: Red Devils File Submitter: Deadhead File Submitted: 28 Oct 2006 File Updated: 7 Dec 2006 File Category: Hunter Skins The last aerobatic display Hunter I intend doing, it was hard work lol, and i still don't have it exactly as i'd like. As the Red Devils never flew the FGA9 this again is a speculative scheme but its fairly closely based on the one the used on their Mk.6s so please don't tell me i got it wrong :) Click here to download this file
  9. Well Belgian actually but what a coincidence eh ?

I hope you know how to add textures by now, but if not see some of my other skins for details. Click here to download this file
  11. First off , apologies for not replying sooner but i've not been on-line a lot recently because of work commitments. I guess the easiest way to change schemes would be to edit the skins in a decent art package , I use Paintshop pro , there you could just select the colour scheme you want to try and swap the colours in the existing skin. For instance you could swap a Dark Grey for a Dark Green, then when you have all the colours as you want them you can save the skin in a new folder. However if you really want to experiment i've found that the schemes look better if you first of all add a blur effect to taste and then use the Fill function over any skin of your choice. I've created "Aggressor" type skins for F-15 and F-16's using this method although i don't think they're good enough to post on site. I should tell you that i only adapted these schemes from a pattern i found on the internet so if you care to use them in any way feel free. The advantage of these patterns is that they are seamless and so give a fair paint scheme without too many obvious edges. All of the skins i've done have initially been for my own amusement and to see if i could put my ideas into practice without any thought of posting them , but i was talked into posting them by my son who insisted they were good enough. That's why they were posted so haphasardly. I hope this helps and if you have any more questions please PM me. Once again apologies for my late reply.

File Name: "Black Arrows" Hunter File Submitter: Deadhead File Submitted: 21 Oct 2006 File Updated: 7 Dec 2006 File Category: Hunter Skins A skin for a Hunter of 111 Squadron R.A.F display team of the 1950-60s. It's not exactly accurate , for instance the squadron badge is a bit large and I don't think the FGA9 was ever flown in display, but apart from that I think it looks pretty good. For those who don't know, The Blacks were one of the first post-war RAF display teams regularly flying 16 Hunters of various types and 1n 1958 they looped 22 Hunters at Farnborough which is still a world record, history lesson over lol.
