Super Hornet's in SFP1
cgold replied to Planejunky's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Super Hornets are just the same planes with the same avionics but in an airframe that will kept the politicians happy. Tomcats are faster, more powerful, "see" farther, and hit targets even farther away. If somebody "built" a Super Tomcat 21 for SFp1, I, PERSONALLY, will ruin the Super Hornet, any day. " Fighter Pilots make movies. Bomber Pilots make history. Strike Pilots get on the History Channel. " The F-14 fits ALL three! Can anybody tell me when an F-18 was in a movie where it wasn't shot down? Where it made history? Or where it made it on the History Channel? -

Haulin' ass and kickin' ass! -
"Is this your idea of fun Mav?" My computer will not let me post anything in the gallery section, so i figured I'll do this the easy way.

Kick ass !!! Tomcats forever!

I have two general questions that I have been meaning to ask. 1.) When is Marcelo gonna release the Frogfoots and new Flankers? I have been looking every day and it kills me that they still are not there. Release date= Please be soon! 2.) The Hawk SAM missile was integrated onto two Tomcats that Iran had back in 1979. From what I have read, and seen, they have NOT pursued this project, I think. Is there any way to make the Hawk an Air 2 Air Missile, or integrate it onto F-14's in SFp1? That would kinda cool if that were possible.

Questions
cgold replied to cgold's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
When I saw your MiG pack, I began to wonder, "Maybe I can ask him." You, I take it, like Russian and former Soviet aircraft. I love them as much as Tomcats. I was wondering if you had plans to make any new MiGs like the MiG-31, or others like the Tu-160, Tu-95, Tu-128 "Fiddler", or any I forgot. More MiGs = usually more targets. USUALLY... not all the time. PS.= A J-8 II "Finback" Pack would really cool. Or an Q/A-5 attacker. -
Finnaly got the F-14D DL'd and OH BOY!

Fencers and Frogfoots

I saw on wrench's website that he had a preview of the hangar screens of the Su-24 and Su-25. Any ideas on a release date? -

Marcelo, you are Sukhoi for StrikeFighters. You have produced the Su-27 that was a huge success. You now are working on the Su-24, and 25. You rule, dude! -
I know I am pro-F-14, but I think that the F-22 is a good substitute. Any idea on a release date?

Why russian aircrafts are so weak
cgold replied to kelvin's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I have noticed that to. Even some very accurate missiles from the Russians miss their targets. Many of the US built planes have a chaff and flare despenser somewhere on the plane. That is the most likely cause. Some Soviet/Russian aircraft have ECM like this, but only recent airframes have them. (MiG-27, MiG-29, Su-17, Su-27, and some MiG-21's, and MiG-23's.) It's is a good thing then that the guns on Russian planes are such a big millimeter! -
F-14D VF-213 "Lions Head"
cgold replied to EricJ's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I see that somebody has the guts to make the Super Tomcat. The engine nozzles at the back need to be, for a lack of a better word, "squarer", not round like the Pratt and Whitneys. Also, don't forget the double light pod under the nose. Otherwise, the F-14 you are making is the B version. Still, I think the Super tomcat projct is coming up to scratch. Rock on, dude! -
I know that the MiG-23BN/-27 was exported to some degree. The only skins for the MiG-27 are the ones for USAFMTL. These are good and all, but there are no Iraqi MiG-23BN/-27 skins, no Syrian (for USAFMTL's model), no Algerian, and so on. When it's all said and done, it's just more targets that are "politically correct" for good ol' Maverick to shoot down.

More MiG-27 skins

Sweet, guys. Thanks for the feedback! -
No More Pratt-Whitney Engines
cgold posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
The F-14's I already have Air to Ground capability. Is somebody making a General-Electric engined F-14? "If it says "Pratt and Whintey" on the engines, it damn well say "Martin Baker" on the Ejection Seats." -
No More Pratt-Whitney Engines
cgold replied to cgold's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
You have a good point, but the airframe is still the F-14A. Don't get me wrong, I love all F-14's, but the best one of them all is the F-14D. I was wondering if somebody was creating the new airframe, with GE engines, the double camera/light pod, and better avionics. -
The F-14's out now are just modified F-14A's. Who will actually make one? The F-14A is good and all, but the Super Tomcat is the king of all bad-ass. The A+ is the same way.

The Reds are coming!
cgold posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Are the Russians really let the US run them over in SFp1? The Soviets are working mostly on 60's and 70's aircraft. Mostly. The are the few exceptions where there is the Su-17, Su-27, MiG-29, and MiG-27. Are there MiG-31's, Su-30's, 33's, 35's, 24's 25's, and 37's coming out ? The Russians better pick it up, or the Middle East will be quieter than it should be. -
The REAL F-14D
cgold replied to cgold's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Typhiod, you have done an incredible job with your F-14's. You've gotten plenty of views, and even more downloads. I bet the F-14 is a very hard plane to make due to its swing-wing capability, and complexity as an aircraft. I have already modified the original F-14A to carry Air to Ground weaponry. It kicks ass! I was just curious to see if a real F-14A+, B or D was in the works. -

USSR and Russia weapons and planes
cgold replied to StormKnight's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Older Soviet Aviation is just as interesting as the newer airframes. Su-7 Su-9, and the Su-17. I am surprised that newer Russian aircraft have not ben created. The Su-22, 24, 27, or 37 for that matter. MiGs too! MiG 27, 29, 31, or 1.44 MFI. More MiGs or Sukhoi's = more targets or allies. you choose. -
No Mig?
cgold replied to snow+surf's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Is there some way that the WOE MiG-27 can be edited to fly in SFp1? More MiGs= More targets! -
Easy way to make the MiGs flyable?
cgold replied to arthur666's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Flying with the enemy is not always moral, but "Knoweth thy enemy", right?
