I really wish we could have realism DLC of some sort... and taht bloody HUD, that would be a game changer at least for me -now doing a run, even with as accurately modelled avionics and weapons as some 3rd party mods go I'm all in the game so to speak until that bloody piper goes off the HUD onto the cockpit mesh... and as I deducted, most cockpits seem to have separate HUD combiner glass (or reflector one in older planes) modeled as proven by numerous cockpits ini files, but no, the non-floating, restricted reticles go way beyond definition of "fun" apparently
maybe tk's engine do not allow (or is not able) the hud to stay on the glass

The TW campaign editor is a good piece of software but it's not a campaign generator "stricto sensus"
i remember a old campign generator, do we have a recent one?

tested the two main avionic60.dll planes of the game (the a-4 and f-4) on every official map (each modded on enhanced tiles, stary etc.....) and no stutter at all when i turn on the ground radar.
very strange.

ok, here's another one, for today's glitch list...
why does a terrain, that was fixed, and working perfectly YESTURDAY, all of a sudden NOT work today???
CubaOTC has just decieded that is don't like anything, and was just fine yesturday afternoon.
i'm so close to just walking away from this whole stinking, pestulant, feculant mess....and just kiss last 7 years of my life goodbye. Having done mostly nothing else BUT terrains (and the occasional skin, aircraft, etc). This is just going too far.
OTH, the Persian Gulf terrain is working fine...although the IR2003 places the CVBG in a completely different region than where I painted the green zone.
There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to the function, and MALfuncitons we're seeing. And we sure ain't getting answers from The Man.
I too, am beyond my wit's end (and found some rather interestering territory beyond That Wall...)
just make a flight with OTC+ (in a all-in-one merged install= and it works fine.
ps: just a question did you tried all your messed up terrains in a fresh unmodded install? (no offense in this question)

the terrain dont work on most users computers frame rates of 3 or 4 .just about this point here's my (3 years+ old) rig
core2duo e8400@3.28ghz
a radeon 4870 512meg ram
3gigbyte ram
and my setting under the sfp2 series
1280*1024
object details=high
object texture=unlimited
cockpit texture=unlimited
cockpit mirror=on
cockpit reflexion=on
shadows=medium
effects=unlimited
terrain details=high
terrain texture=unlimited
horizon distance=far
ground object=unlimited
water detail=high
and the sf2 NA runs pretty well over the land
Having said that. So far nothing I added to SF2:NA when it came out is broke with the new patch. Stary's effects pack works, all the terrains I added work.same here

after some tests it seems that as soon as i add the line NavalMap=TRUE, the terrain disapear from the drop down menu

Sorry, forgot one thing. Add this to ISRAELME.INI
NavalMap=TRUE
What other effects this does is yet to be seen.
Let me see if I can do a quick dirty fix for Vietnam map..

hello i put the two files in may vietnamsea terrain directory......and now the terrain is no more available in the menu?

I noted only one difference, SF2NA Default had the DRAG_CHUTE line missing..
Haven't installed the hotfix to see if he just fixed the control menu or added that parameter..
the hotfix is only for sf2 NA? no?

I suspect the terrain_targets/types.ini files for IcelandNA have carrier stations, and some aircraft have a parameter that makes the carrier stations their priority base...
vietnam sea have carrier stations no? it might be your second options (naval aircrafts having priorities)

SF2NA Made control mapping changes. (which also borked control mapping, which is why tk had to do a hotfix.)

and don't agree with the second too, otherwise why can't we have carrier take off in single random missions?

what it brings (at least what i noticed)
populated aicraft carriers (but you still need to use the mission editor to take off from)

the electro optical weapons (you can lock them, but you have no zoom level, so you can't see what's you are locking on)

Hello gents, for those who use électro opticals weapons in sf2 na, do you really see your locked targets at a decent range as it use to be with pré-march patch level on sf2?

Well, soon the release can be delayed for a more than two weeks
Still, it kinda begs the question why TK put SF2NA in the store in the first place then if it's that far out.
maybe a last minute bug, or he decided to include some of the features that he intended to cut some times ago.
