Water didnt effect frame rate. So it seems teh buildings or wingmen are causing the error. No Amount of Tinkering Fixed this Issue with the Mouse Cursor flickering from Windows to the DCS "+" Cursor.

Is there a way? as most of the Engine's Im working with now require Max 2011/2012 for plugins or functions, I've started to do most of my workflow in Max 2011. is there a way to take a completed project/model and convert it to max 2009 without losing the texture maps (i can re-do animations easily so that's not an issue.) I really dont want to have to export a completed project to .3ds and start over again. i wonder if I can get TW's exporter to work in Max 2011-32Bit. Edit: Nevermind, Exporting as 3ds from 2011 preserves UV Coordinates, all I have to do is import materials and assign them to meshes, check linking and animations and done.
  5. im gonna tweak around with draw distance of objects and stuff, I know a lot of stuff was doubled from 1.20 to 1.2.1 in the settings. im still 1.2.1.57 havent downloaded the mini updates yet. i think i turned HDR to Cool, when I had it OFF in 1.2.0 too so.
  6. I had a huge Fr/PS Hit using EDs Stock 3 Screen Setup (I guess it auto detected them). The Stock 3Screen does has 3 separate viewports for each screen, and when I zoom out in the pit it makes it look like my wings are in front of me, so I re-typed my Eyefinity LUA I had for 1.2.0, but had to adjust GUI parameters. Restored my Eyefinity LUA and switched to that and got about 80% of my FrameRate back. If I killed MSAA completely maybe get the rest back, But I ran 2x MSAA in 1.2.0 no problem. But I noticed flying below 1000Ft was a bit clunky, with or without TGP/MAV on, climbing to about Angels 3 or 4 allowed smoother frame rate. But the Down Low Stutter is evident, ED may have added clutter to make the terrain look better for low flying KA-50s. The View distance in the stock LUA Files also doubled at some detail levels, so what used to be HIGH settings are now MED, and HIGH is now higher. What used to be MED is now LOW, etc etc. Havent tested the new water. Seems they changed a few things in the renderer. As with 1.2.0, If I ALT+TAB and come back, the Scene is restored almost immediately and you watch as it restores the textures in the cockpit (similar to FSX). In 1.2.1 if I Alt TAB and come back, Im sitting at a black screen for about 30-60 Seconds, then it comes back up, and takes a second to get back up to a decent frame rate. At mission start, if I ALT Tab and come back, I still have to wait for the renderer to restore itself, but the GUI comes back scrambled and it must refresh itself which took about another 5 seconds. This is a pain for ALT Tabbing for manuals. Or in my Case, with 1.2.1 the problem with starting a mission, and the Mouse not working (cant click any buttons on the mission start pause screen or buttons in pit.) you have to ALT Tab out and back again. This was partial as I switched to my Eyefinity LUA and it fixed it for about 10 mission starts, then went back to losing the mouse. It doesn’t do it with loading an SU-25 Mission though. But I’m still not getting the 100% smoothness I got in 1.2.0, but 1.2.1 is still a lil above 1.1.1.1 (A-10C Standalone) for me, which had horrible FrameRate in Pit on ground for me.
  7. I might do the "flyable F-18C Mod" thing just to get some nice pictures :p then when FC3 comes out, replace the damn SU-25T Pit with the F-15C pit.

  11. Export from Max2011 to .3ds, Retain MAX UV Coordinates. Right Down the Values for the Materials (Specular/Reflection whatever). Import .3DS into Max 2009, Import The Texture Maps into the Material Editor, Highlight the parts for a Material, Drop and go. only tested so far with WIP Models with very low Mesh counts, and Not models with A TON of Maps.
  12. much appreciated, it'll come in handy. 100+ A2G Kills and a Dozen or So A2A Kills, and 2 medals.. yet no promotions. only 1 ejection, I blame the AI Fighters.. as By time my INS Alignment was Scrable ready, i Taxi'd and went to take off, got off the deck, gear up and had a enemy fighter strafe me. tried to turn around and land, but lost controls, so I ejected and walked my guy back to base. I've only "crash landed" once, no landing gear at all, (but had plenty of time to dump fuel and stores), just a low speed full flaps belly landing at 80 knots. hopefully steam puts A-10C on sale again, my brother wants to get into it... which means I gotta upgrade his system... or just rebuild it....

  19. Eyefinity can be 2 or 3 horizontally and 2 or 3 vertically. i think you have to use SofTH, and setup a smaller screen below the main screen, and move the RDR Overlay down. I did it before when I only had 2 screens, I'll have to dig through my old system's HDD to get the HUDDAta.
  20. should be able to put a 2nd screen and set them up 1:2 (one on top of each other), and move the RDR overlay down to the bottom screen.
  21. Set teh HUD to Easy, and Change the Position of the Radar in the HUD Data.ini to be on the 2nd screen, i know people that use USB2.0 Displays and have the radar overlay shifted onto the smaller (7 inch) Screen by changing the position. same thing can be done in DCS
