  1. Just a few randoms from the Flaming Cliffs 2 title.

    I know I’m a whole series behind but I’ve got it running quit nicely on my older system that struggles with the latest DCS software.

    Having switched to the Strike Fighters series back in 2006/7 after feeling saturated with Eagle Dynamics sims. I’ve had to spend the last few weeks trying to relearn what I’ve forgotten over the years.

    Its been refreshing experience and kind of nice returning to an old friend. :smile:

    I’ve always been a Fulcrum or Flanker man with ED sims since the Flanker 2.0/2.5 days. ( hence the nick name)

    Decided to give the F-15 a chance this time round and I’m loving the experience so far.

    If the fun continues, a new graphics card & Flaming Cliffs 3 may be on the cards for next year

  2. I’m not sure when they stated using the darker camouflage over the lighter gray?

    The camouflage pattern still follows the original, while I’ve tried to make the color tones close the what the last F-15A “AF 77-098” wore when she retired in 2009 & the richness of that beautiful F-15C we've seen in FC 3 screen shots of late.

    While not 100% accurate to any particular air frame I’m sure, its still passes as feasible I hope.

  3. F-15A Dark Camouflage

    F-15A Dark Camouflage v2.0

    This is a darker colour "compass ghost" scheme for the Third Wire F-15A.

    Its my attempt to give the stock eagle a later more modern feel about her.

    Its is based on the stock TW skin at 1024 X 1024 resolution.

    Apologies but I haven't yet acquired the skill or accuracy to attempt anything at a higher resolution yet.

    Regardless I’m quite enjoying the new look.

    Hoping some of you might enjoy it too. :-)

    Installation

    NB: This requires SF2 Europe though if renamed correctly should work in SF2 Israel for the F-15A Baz.

    Unzip & place the objects folder directly in to your saved game / mods folder.

    Credits

    - Third Wire for the original F-15A artwork & WOI F-15A templates.

    - Everyone at Combat Ace for their countless contributions & pool of knowledge.

    P.S. I have included a list of supported stock F-15A squadrons.

    If like me & you are not a hardcore aviation buff, you can use it to enjoy their different markings & associated tail art for the F-15A.

  4. EAF TW F-16A Skins

    Egyptian Air Force TW F-16A Skins

    Requires Strike Fighters 2 Israel!!

    This is my attempt at the EAF F-16A.

    It contains the later well known high-viz grey scheme that gives some of the Egyptian aircraft their unique flavor & the overall standard Egyptian grey scheme.

    I could only find a handful of reference photos of the early A & B models so feel free to make any suggestions or any changes.

    It is possible to just drop the skins directly in to your F-16A_Netz folder but I recommend you use them with the Updated F-16A Block 10 1.1 pack or similar TW F-16A packages in the downloads section.

    Installation:

    Drop the skins folder in your F-16A or what ever you have called your TW F-16.

    Place the decals folder in the in your Objects/Decals folder.

    Add the following to your F-16A USERLIST:

    [Egypt]

    ServiceStartYear=1982

    ServiceEndYear=2020

    Availability=COMMON

    Hope you enjoy

    Royal Norwegian Air Force TW F-16A Skin

    Requires Strike Fighters 2 Israel!!

    This is my attemtpt at the RNoAF F-16A.

    It contains two overall grey skin sets & decals for the 331st 332nd Squadrons.

    It’s not perfect so feel free to make any suggestions or make any changes.

    Recommended for use with the Updated F-16A Block 10 1.1 pack or one of the earlier packages for the TW F-16A in the downloads section though it is possible to just drop the skin folders in you F-16A_Netz folder.

    Instalation:

    Drop the skins folder in your F-16A folder & place the decals folder in the in your Objects/Decals folder.

    Add the following to your F-16A USERLIST:

    - Stray texture on port flap removed.

  6. Just stumbled upon this yesterday! :yikes:

    A most impressive collection of pics taken of Cold War aircraft during the early to late 80’s.

    There are some rare paint jobs & art work among them & fans of the Strike Fighters series should realy enjoy most of the shots.

    Apologies if this is old news or the link has been posted before but I had to share.
