  1. File Name: IcelandNA Shimmer Fix File Submitter: steelflanker File Submitted: 16 March 2012 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Terrains IcelandNA Shimmer Fix --------------------- For me the terrain noise effects on the North Atlantic terrain is a little too strong, causing the ground to shimmer. I’ve toned down the original that gets rid of the shimmer & reduces the overall coarse look of the terrain. If you are having the same problem give it a try. SF Installation: ------------- Place in your StrikeFighters2 NorthAtlantic saved games folder. Click here to download this file

Egyptian Air Force TW F-16A Skins Requires Strike Fighters 2 Israel!! This is my attempt at the EAF F-16A. It contains the later well known high-viz grey scheme that gives some of the Egyptian aircraft their unique flavor & the overall standard Egyptian grey scheme. I could only find a handful of reference photos of the early A & B models so feel free to make any suggestions or any changes. It is possible to just drop the skins directly in to your F-16A_Netz folder but I recommend you use them with the Updated F-16A Block 10 1.1 pack or similar TW F-16A packages in the downloads section. Installation: Drop the skins folder in your F-16A or what ever you have called your TW F-16. Place the decals folder in the in your Objects/Decals folder. Add the following to your F-16A USERLIST: [Egypt] ServiceStartYear=1982 ServiceEndYear=2020 Availability=COMMON Hope you enjoy SF Credits - Fantastic TW F-16A Templates by Wrench. - Bits & bobs from MigBusters Euro Packages & Dave's Updated F-16A Block 10 1.1 pack. - Original numberlist & decals from the WOI F-16A Blk.10 Arab pack by suhsjake. - ThirdWire Original Templates.

  11. Just stumbled upon this yesterday! A most impressive collection of pics taken of Cold War aircraft during the early to late 80’s. There are some rare paint jobs & art work among them & fans of the Strike Fighters series should realy enjoy most of the shots. Apologies if this is old news or the link has been posted before but I had to share. http://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=29261&sid=40020076aa123d3b30f421bc3c7604fc
  12. Is it just me but I’ve never been able to fly the AOA indexer or even the new ILS on approach. Landing with the aircrafts nose that high & air speed just a few knots above stall just seems & feels so wrong.

  15. God DAMN!

At last!!! Love this place & you guys
  16. The way things I have been going at ThirdWire lately I’ve set my hopes really low. I’m expecting a Mirage F-1 along with few decals & a extra skin or two if we are lucky. I’m not expecting the nose wheel to turn & assuming it will borrow a seat from the F-15 or another stock plane. Anything else will be an added bonus. SF
  17. Just a few from yesterdays flying session........
  18. Now you’ve got me all excited coupi! I’m clueless when it comes to terrain making but I did experiment with a few African Bush type tiles a few months back. May I suggest any of the books by the late Brigadier General Dick Lord. A must have for any info on the air war in that theater. Theres a basic thearter map here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:South_Africa_Border_War_Map.png Good luck & looking forward to it. SF
