Paran and Dhimar on SF2: E, I and V?
suhsjake replied to Stratos's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
There should be enough mods out here to build SF2 for free. Even the terrains. -
Fluffy girls need their lovin too.

That is a waste of titanium, aluminum, and steel.

Hey Ed, That loading ramp is off. It splits in two with the top piece moving up and a smaller piece moving down. http://planesandchop...aws.com/428.jpg http://i.ytimg.com/v...lzsGuS56w/0.jpg http://www.ww2aircra...irtycloseup.jpg Good to hear that you got a job. -
AT-6 Is Out of the Light Air Support Contest, Award Imminent The Air Force has apparently booted Hawker-Beechcraft’s AT-6B from its light attack competition. Hawker says it has no idea yet why its plane was disqualified from the contest a few weeks ago and is requesting a formal review of the matter from the Government Accountability Office. The AT-6B was competing with Embraer’s Super Tucano for a U.S. Air Force contract to supply up to 20 light air support — or counterinsurgency planes — to the fledgling Afghan air force. A couple of months ago we reported that the service was supposed to decide this month on which plane it would supply the Afghans with. Here’s a statement that Hawker released on the matter today: The Air Force is being fairly tight lipped on the issue besides confirming that a contract award will happen in late November or early December. (That’s pretty big news in and of itself) Here’s what Air Force spokeswoman Jennifer Cassidy just told DT: The picture above shows an AT-6 participating in one of the Air Force’s Joint Expeditionary Force Experiment (JEFX) events where it has flown a variety of ISR and light attack missions at the hands of A-10 pilots. http://defensetech.o...upport-contest/ Now I may know nothing about how the USAF operates, but with impending cuts and cost over runs from other programs, why did the Air Force choose a totally different aircraft with new logistics line when the T-6 Texan II is a perfectly capable aircraft. Why didn't they choose the EMB-314 (the viable candidate in the LAS program) in the first place when the trainer competition came up. This reeks of politics.

SF2V Improvements vs SFV
suhsjake replied to golden eagle's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
No - This is a sim light, not LOMAC. No - Addressed by SF2V Air and Ground War Gold Mod Yes/No - A-6A is only available to AI now, but mods make it available again (see above mod). But there are more aircraft available in terms of correct sub variants, with cockpit and model differences. (Example A-4B and A-4B_65) Worth the upgrade. Yes, SF2 series have many more features such as mission editor, newer graphics with DX10 support (must have GPU capable of running DX10 as well as Windows Vista or 7), and DLCs. -
They already have 20 DLCs ready for this game. Talk about milking the fanboi. http://gotgame.com/2011/11/09/modern-warfare-3-to-get-20-pieces-of-dlc-over-9-months/

Ok Let's Start A Virtual "NATO"
suhsjake replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
An updated target.ini and individually updated XXX_data per AAA/SAM would be required. I wouldn't worry about the AAA and Mobile SAMs, but the Static SAM sites would be fairly easy to do. Player A strikes SAM Site and provides BDA assessment picture with North Indicator. Player A sends picture of BDA to Campaign Controller (Dave or Wrench) who then replaces destroyed targets with destroyed Sam/Radar model in target.ini, then reuploads at end of day for next days strike packages. -
I can do some stuff, many config stuff, textures, and animations.

Sounds like this sould have been a $15 DLC Campaign for MW2 than a $60 POS. Maybe the fanboi base will finally die off. I am sick and tired of people requesting CD:MW and BF3 addons for ArmA 2. Also the User Rating for PS3 and 360 is 2.7 and 3.1 respectively.

help with SF2 performance on my PC
suhsjake replied to citizen67's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
From what I understand, there seems to be problems with the latest's patches and frame rates. Secondly, minimum requirements means that your computer meets the minimum to run the game at minimum settings. I would look at upgrading you GPU in the long run. -
Hells Yeah.... Hold my beer and watch this.....

Ok Let's Start A Virtual "NATO"
suhsjake replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I love what I see here. Just a few comments though: - Since missions can be edited as text files, would there be a way to create an external program to generate missions similar to Planned Assault and simulate the AI enemy air and ground tactics. For example, Dave has control of the program, and directs the air campaign while friendly AI directs the ground campaign. Once the plan is set, missions are auto generated and sent to the respective players via email system. The player then fills out a Battle Damage Assessment and the program updates the front lines, supply, aircraft/crew losses, etc... - Secondly, you guys need a sub forum or forum, you are starting to clutter up the place . - Thirdly, we need more of these "Virtual Air Forces". It might push TK to actually think about proper MP. -

I use USAA. Like Jug said, no hidden fees. Free checking and savings, awesome customer service, bill payment center, auto loans, credit cards, online deposit and phone deposit, but I don't know if they have any branches near you. Best bet would to find a local bank or local credit union.
