So, just how old is he?

Others include Ventrilo and Xfire, plus many games have such ability built into them. I think Il-2 is the only flight sim to have it.
-
Are you insane? If that happens, no more sims from him!!!!!! NOOOO!!!!!!!

Space doesn't really cost that much if you have the will to spend it there. For all the bellyaching about how much the US space program costs, we spend more on "continuing operations" in Iraq in one year than a decade of NASA budgets. Investing in space makes a lot more sense than investing in a political process that's always one coup away from total reversal.

I think the Babylon 5 finale was the best ever.

SP1? XP SP1 is almost a totally different OS under the hood than XP SP2. The SP3 differences by comparison are minor. With modern games it's sometimes hard to tell if the problem with "black" polygons is textures, shaders, or both.

There were some ATI AGP 3xxx series cards made, but nvidia stopped at the 7xxx series AFAIK. When you go to nvidia's site, it will ask you what card, OS, etc you have. It will give you the latest WHQL driver for that card.
-
I'm surprised, though. I thought Rosie O'Donnell was alive and well and getting ready for her variety show tonight??
-
nvidia hasn't updated drivers for the 7x00 cards in awhile now. Make sure you're not using any designed for the 8xxx or later.

A rotten tangerine is soft on the outside, but hard on the inside. It also smells a lot like an armadillo.

"Hi, I'm a Mac." "And I'm a personal supercomputer. I've already done more work since this commercial started than you can do in a year, so shut up and go away."

We need someone to make a Stephen Colbert pilot to help shoot down these godless terrors. -

So you go out and you slaughter innocent creatures for fun? What kind of a sick, twisted kid are you?? It's a desert planet and there are no women, what are we SUPPOSED to do?!?!? -

Are there Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr pilots included? -
There's always a fine line between not being heavy-handed and allowing chaos, one spills over to the other so easily... But hey, you can't please all of the people all of the time anyway, so you do what you can.

Yes, the new Intel CPUs are DDR3-only and a new socket at a minimum, so that means new mobo and RAM when you upgrade it again.

I've also heard that flat is the best way as far as cooling. You have some limited space there, unfortunately. I have mine flat next to the 5.1 system and the wife's Wii on top of my old-style 65" CRT projector set, that has plenty of real estate up there.

Never had Pandora, but I had the other 3 (original, CT, DA). CT always worked great, although it had several patches which added things like shader 2 support. Double Agent was a rush job, very buggy, patches barely helped. It's also not as good a game. Make sure you have any and all available patches for them installed.

True, any dual-slot video card will run cooler and keep your PC cooler as they exhaust their heat outside the case instead of inside.

Has somebody tried the new X360 Dashboard?
JediMaster replied to Silverbolt's topic in Game Console Corner
AFAIK all 360s HDDs work with any 360, regardless of make or color or whatever. -
I've been sucked in more times than I can remember over the past 20 yrs. It doesn't happen to me as much anymore, however I still dedicate myself to playing one or 2 games mostly at a time excluding what I play online coop with others. Right now I'm mostly playing Far Cry 2, with STALKER Clear Sky and the Painkiller Triple Dose bargain collection waiting in the wings. I also play a little LEGO Indy Jones, some SW Force Unleashed, and a few other 360 games for my offline gaming.

Some suicides, and most attempted suicides, are calls for help. By doing what he did for 12 HOURS there's no doubt this guy wanted someone to stop him, wanted to think that someone cared enough to stop him. Broadcasting it live on a streaming site is probably the loudest way this guy could think of. Where were the parents? Who knows, it hardly matters now.

It's not that they're coming more often, it's that with modern sensors and communication we're just aware of them all now while in the past only locals would feel many of them. The "big ones" are still just as rare.

IIRC, there was a near-event in the 70s in the SW US where a large fireball streaked across the sky but then left. It apparently skipped on the atmosphere and kept going. From footage taken it was estimated that had it impacted it would have been larger than the Tunguska event. Besides, the once-in-100,000 yrs events aren't the ones to worry about. Rather we should worry that around every 65 million years, almost like clock work, the Earth has experienced a mass extinction event, several of which have been linked to meteor impacts. Did we mention the last one was 65 million years ago??
