WoE is great for a "jump in and fly" experience. MP is a bit limited, but it works.

LOMAC makes you have missions for MP, WoE will generate one randomly, although it won't be very elaborate.

WoV has slightly older planes than WoE, different locations, etc. However, other than that the game is identical.

The ADV doesn't have a longer nose per se, rather it's a plug in the fuselage aft of the cockpit that gave more internal volume for fuel.

You'll notice in those pics the IDS/ECR models have the intakes in line with the break between the front and rear cockpits. The ADV however has the intake behind the rear cockpit. That's roughly how big the fuselage plug was.

Not in US service, but I'd think some of these upgraded F-4s out there used by other countries such as Japan, Turkey, Israel, and so on might have it.

What's your CPU? I don't remember you mentioning it.

If it's too slow, it will hold the card back. Remember the card can only do as much as the CPU sends to it, and a CPU can only send as much to a card as it will take. In other words, either one can be a bottleneck. If your performance hasn't budged, you must have a CPU bottleneck. Try turning up your FSAA and AF settings and I'm guessing you won't see a performance hit--those are done solely in the video card.

You were surprised? I bet it pales in comparison to the MiG driver's surprise!

What's most used? Other than perhaps a few of the total conversions like Op Tainted Cigar or NATO Fighters, I think that's hard to say. People grab what interests them most. Some people only do WWII, some only do modern, some prefer the Korean era, etc.

Same thing with recommendations. What is your favorite era? You can see in the DL section how many times a given mod has been looked at to give you an idea of its popularity, but other than say the F-14 or Tornados (planes most everyone wants), it's really all about your preference.

A twin-engined A-7? I don't remember that, but I do remember the A-7F w/afterburner.

I can't imagine how a twinned A-7 would work. The rear fuselage would be a mess!

If you're looking at doing ground attack, right now the JAS 39C is certainly better than the EF.

If you're doing an intercept, the EF is probably a better choice.

If it's a dogfight, that's hard to know, but I'd give the edge to the Gripen because of its smaller size.

Again, no one plane can do it all the best.

I'd say do both. Some people want that extra realism, some don't.

GOOD AI on both the friendly and enemy sides!! Il-2 is sorely missing that.

I've heard there are tons of those mods out there for ships from movies and TV. What's the best place to find them, or is it more like a whole bunch of sites?

One of the reasons I like rF and GTR2 is that all their mods are in one location (rfcent and nogrip) making it easy to look for them.

It would be nice if SB did it themselves and added them to RACE over Steam for free, releasing one a month or something.

I don't know, I've played many FPS games with better stories than Halo. Never played 2 or 3, but going by 1, yes. Things like graphics and such are a function of when they're released and the budget they have. The bigger the better.

As for AI, that's also highly variable. Some games are good, some are bad.

Basically, I thought Halo was average. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't AWESOME or anything, it just was.

These ships work in the Thirdwire series of flight sims: Strike Fighters, Wings over Vietnam, Wings Over Europe. You can get them all from Thirdwire's web store. As for controlling them, sorry, as of now only planes are controllable.

The Gripen is like a next-generation F-16. The EF is a next-generation F-15. Different planes for different jobs, one isn't really "better" than the other.
