I remember in the Armada games it was only moderately useful. Never played Dominion Wars as I heard nothing positive about it. I think it was in SFC3 but totally underwhelming there.
It was originally designed to fight the Borg, but got pressed into service at DS9 and in the Dominion War. Only in the beginning of First Contact do we see it doing what it was built for.

Ok, so I thought it fitting to discuss what SW games we're all playing. Or perhaps I should say still playing as not many have been released lately.
I've been meaning to reinstall XW Alliance and start modding it up as I've not played the game in probably 6 years! I have played Battlefront 1 and 2, and still have 2 installed, as at least there's some fighters in it. The infantry combat is also pretty good, but the Jedis are a joke.
For great lightsaber combat, I have Jedi Academy still installed. There are tons of mods for this as well. It maybe 3.5 yrs old, but it still rocks.
On the RPG front, KOTOR 1 and 2 are great games. K2 is of course that grand disappointment, starting out to be far better than 1 and finishing up as far less. Still, it's possible to see what K2 could've been and I like it for that.
For RTS fans, SW: Empire at War and the Forces of Corruption addon are excellent games. Really looks like massive battles from the films at times! The older Galactic Battlegrounds I still enjoy, even though it's purely land-based and has some issues as the thing is more or less a giant Age of Kings mod.
The other game I have right now is Lego Star Wars 2, and I'll tell you this thing is FUN.

In the book "The Sixth Battle" they do indeed retrofit Bones with Slammer capability and use a flight of them to take out a massive Russian force. The Russians are dumbstruck because F-16s couldn't have reached them where they were, yet that's what their RWRs are telling them are attacking them!

Contrails may happen at high altitudes. The U-2 had a rear-view mirror expressly for that purpose--to see if one was being generated so the pilot could do something about it!

He almost made it sound like the ailerons weren't moving differentially but linked. So that for instance, push stick left and BOTH went up, push stick right and BOTH went down.

You crazy line-drawer!!!

Everything exploded?? Wow, I'd like to see that!

That's good to know.

Of course you can, but what about the bombs?

LOL, I was just thinking you could edit that to read:
DamagedEngineSoundName=PropEngine
Everything is fine, but if you get hit you suddenly sound like you're flying a piston-engined plane!

Other than the P-3, I've used all the platforms in the game about equally, although I've likely spent more time in the FFG. I'm still such an amateur that I have to use autocrew on many things most of the time, though!

While not convinced of its efficacy in real world ops, it certainly LOOKS awesome.

I just don't have one yet! I'm still learning all of them.

They realized that the Comanche would drop from an RPG just as easily as an Apache but at much greater cost.
I was very sad when Razorworks was bought and turned into a console-game house. I'm pleased someone else has taken up the torch.

Finally, Godzilla can now play golf!

That's just Hebrew for "them."

Bunyap has vanished into the night, with no announcements. Website gone, too. Hope he's ok.

I don't think ANY sim has ever modeled LPI radar.

It goes fast, but like the SR-71 it measures its turn radius in nations, not feet. Start your turn over Canada, finish over Mexico...

Wow, a black-radomed F-14. That was certainly a rarity.

Anyone with plans to work on a Cobra Rattler VTOL A-10 ?The toy comes with weird proportions but the show version looks exactly like a modified A-10A. This could even lead to a full blown action force mod for SF series.
Pics from Yojoe.com
I always was amazed by the Rattler. While the Skystriker was just an F-14, and the Dragonfly was only a modestly modified AH-1, the Rattler was this bizarre VTOL/tilt-wing 3-engined A-10 with a dorsal gunner?? A gunner??!?

I can't believe it was mounted so low...

Mirror Universe was also in a few DS9 episodes, although the Terran Empire was defunct then.

I watched some of the Tom Baker ones as a kid, but the new ones did nothing for me. I watched the first 3 or so of it and I couldn't get into it.

Unfortunately, info seems hard to come by.
However, we'll likely have volunteers to do a review ASAP.![](https://combatace.com/uploads/emoticons/default_wink2.gif)
