  1. Which sim for a Laptop ?

I have a Dell Centrino Core 2 Duo @ 1.8GHz, with an Intel 950 series Graphics Chip & a Gig of RAM... Wings Over Europe and Falcon 4.0: Allied Force run like a dream on it with the majority of the details set to medium or high. WOE, the aircraft skins are set to medium detail, unfortunately... High detail, makes the machine stutter. The fact that your machine is 200MHz slower than mine will make little or no difference. Enjoy.

  3. My new baby!

Got the whole kit n kabootle for $900CAD, taxes in. What are the specs on your new system?
  4. video card...256Mb or 512Mb ?

From personal experience, I'd have to say, go with a 512MB card. It simply allows for faster caching and video transfer.
  5. Not all that uncommon, in my little reality. hehehehe... It REALLY upsets the opposing player, when I lay in on them, in their Mi-24 Hind, with a round from my trusty M-1A1 Abrahms, when they try to strafe on me, whilst playing Battlefield 2. I've actually nailed a couple planes the same way. That's REALLY embarrassing.
  6. By far, this has to be my favourite of the F-23A skins. Beautiful work. There should be a tutorial on how to do this stuff. I'd like to try my hand at it, some day.
  7. hehehe... thanks for the heads up. But, I'm just being a knob, anyway. I'm just a firm believer in the idea of getting into a new O.S. after two or three service packs, down the road. It bothers me that they unleash an unproven O.S. on the public that is rife with bugs and compatibility issues. Vista, in it's condition, now, is a disaster. There is something to be said, when a major company like Dell, goes back to featuring XP Pro or XP-MCE for all their new systems. Microsoft is dropping the price of Vista down to under $200 and XP is over $400. They're trying to ram it down our throats.
  8. I'd also like to see a Buccaneer, but the SU-25 would be a close second choice.
  9. Haaahaaaaa!!! ...still no Vista support. Good call, would not want to tarnish such a good flight sim with something as lame as Vista.
  10. For those who do have WOI, does the installation process also allow the ability to install components of WOE/WOV, should the user so desire? thanks
  11. Someone aughta extract the old engine sound sample from the old EF-2000 simulator and set it up as the engines of this bird. It would do her justice. Sort of an homage to that game, too.
  12. Yeah, I'm getting a dead link, too. Just getting a "Server not found" message.
  13. Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, YESSS!!! The Ching Kuo is a gorgeous little bird. Smaller than an F-16, actually.
  14. Combatace the Musical anyone?

It needs the "Two Weeks" gag inserted in there, somewhere. Otherwise, I'll be first in the line up at Broadway.
  15. Whats Your Favorite Airplane Movie

Flight of the Intruder with Willem Dafoe & Danny Glover ...About a couple of disgruntled A-6 drivers, in Nam, just prior to Op. LineBacker II
  16. I read the Raptor readme, and am aware of the lack of animations for the gun door. But, I pull that trigger and nothing happens, the guns don't fire, my target doesn't go kaboom... ...where's the earth shattering kaboom?!?!? Also, is the automatic Thrust vectoring cosmetic, or is it actually increasing the turn performance?? Doesn't 'feel' like it, she maneuvers like any other plane. Thanks.
  17. Hey, there's a brainstorm. I always wanted to see a 3D model of the F-15 Kai variant from the Anime film, Patlabor 2.
  18. These're absolutely beautiful. Nice work. Though, I'm finding, the tail numbers aren't showing up on the Red & Green Aggressor Camo skins. I'll fiddle around with a bit of .ini editing & see if I can get them working.
  19. Ya got two weeks... looks pretty, though. Nicely done.
  20. Bleach

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
  21. Awww yeah!!! more skins for the F-23A... gotta love it.
  22. I have to break it down by country, and era I think, because Nesher is right. It's impossible to pick, just one. Modern aircraft, proven in combat, I'd have to say, the following are my favourites... McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle = United States. Sukhoi SU-34 Fullback = Russia Panavia Tornado GR Mk. 4 = Germany, Italy, UK Dassault Rafale C = France AIDC Ching Kuo F-CK 1A = Taiwan Cold War: F-104D Starfighter = U.S. Blackburn Buccaneer S.2C = U.K. Mikoyan Gurevich MiG-25P Foxbat B = Soviet Union Dassault Mirage IIIE = France Nanchang Q-5 Fantan = China WWII: Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX - UK Focke Wulf F.190D = Germany Curtiss P-40 Tomahawk = U.S. Mitsubishi Ki-43- Mk.IIIB = Japan Birds that didn't make it: Being Canadian, naturally, I have to whine about the Avro Arrow Mk.1 Northrop YF-23A Black Widow II = U.S.
  23. Absolutely stunning work. Nicely done. Hope someday, to see the... VF-2SS Valkyrie II (of Macross II) VF-11 Thunderbolt VF-19 Excalibur VF-21 "AVF" [Omega One] from Macross Plus
  24. Close Encounters of the Canadian Kind

Canoes actually... with a Chicken Cannon mounted on the Bow of the thing. All we can afford, really. But, hey... the crew wear really ultra fashionable high quality, pristine uniforms.
