  1. Ding! We have a volunteer!!!
  2. Yeah. I hate to be a buzz kill but I've been burned once by a flight sim that required some sort of activation after a reinstall. Never again. No sim is worth that.
  3. So it still requires an internet connection to reinstall? Any limits on reinstalls?
  4. They remove the DRM yet?
  5. F-16C Block 25/30 by The Viper Team

  7. 10 Years with Combat Ace

I can't believe I've been here since late 2004. Wow.
  8. Let's start with: 1. Are you running SF2NA? 2. What terrain are you using? 3. Are you flying as the US Navy or Marines? 4. Are you flying a carrier capable aircraft?
  9. I would vote for the cockpit, too. Thanks for all the work on this!
  10. There should be a Strike_Fighters_2.pdf in your 'manual' folder. While it does not call out the F-105 specifically it gives a good description of cockpit layout and intsruments.
  11. Check the SF2 knowledge base forum. But basically your add-ons need to go in the mods folder rather than the root program folder as in SF1. The readme files for the aircraft usually has very good install info as well.
  12. Go into the ODS mods folder, open OPTIONS.INI. In the graphics section you will find a CloudDetail parameter. As far as I know that is not adjustable from any game options screen. Try playing with that parameter and see if it helps. What OS are you running? SF2 with DX10 support blows the doors off DX9 but that really requires you to be running Win 7 and have a DX10 capable card. I've heard there's a DX10 for WinXP but have not tried it. The other issue with ODS (which is a good news/bad news thing) is that the missions seem to be much busier in terms of number of flights, etc. than the stock SF2 missions. Managing a lot of missions takes processing power and that may be hitting you as well. That's not as simple a fix in that you need to modify the campaign to reduce the number of flights for a given mission. There are some posts around that describe what to do. I think the various "supply rate" parms affect somewhat how many missions are generated.
  13. I'll have to check it. I supposedly downloaded one that had been updated. Could be he wrong color was used now that you mention it.
  14. As regards the NavalMap parm and water maps.... I can't get a mission to start on a carrier in SF2E. I think I've done everything right. For every other terrain I've mucked with, yes, the water map and NavalMap parm all seem to do the trick. And I've even tried it with some OLD SF1 terrains (after making my own watermap).
  15. ^Agreed. Always save your original download emails from TW. (I learned THAT the hard way.) If you click on the email download link you will always get the latest greatest version of the given sim.
  16. I stumbled across this when I was playing around with ODS for SF2. I don't claim to be a data.ini expert but anyway..... I think the Nov 2011 patch caused this issue and it appears to have been carried forward. Set up a single mission for the F-117. Go to the loadout screen. You will most likely only see one weapon station listed. There should be two. My fix was to open the F-117_DATA.INI file and change the StationGroupID for StationID=1 from 0 to 1. Now when you go to the loadout screen you should properly see two stations. Sorry if this is not the proper place for bug reports.
  17. So far this is great! And it performs SO much better on my rig than ODS 1 did. I'm sure DX10 support helps there. Nice job, guys!
  18. Allow me to be the first to comment..... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you.
  19. 1. Strike Fighters 2: Vietnam Air and Ground Expansion Pack 2. 1948 War for Independence/1956 Suez Crisis That's a start.....
  20. My guess is that the effect file you need is missing. If this mod was built for SF1 you may need to poke around the data.ini file and change the effect file name to one used in SF2. I've used AfterburnerEmitterName=AfterburnerEmitter2 for some of the aircraft I've ported over to SF2.

    Very nice! Thanks!
