TrashMan=JW=

Hey Lexicon...I have a Geforce FX 5950 ultra that was getting about 15 to 20 frames a sec until I went into device manager and uninstalled the display adapter and reinstalled the most current 52.16 driver from Nvidia. I did everything to get my game to work right and was getting PO when my friends were getting anywhere from 52 to 37 fps. It never dawned on me to uninstall the display drivers first then install the most current one. I get 55 to 39 fps now with LOMAC. I think a lot of guys that do what I did will see better results too. I have always updated the driver without unstalling first for some dumb asss reason.

Well thats the thing I've been putting off getting a XP3000 for some odd reason. I'm running a Xp2400 on a MSI KT400ultra mobo with 1024mb 2700 memory. I guess its time to get the XP3000.

Oh yeah well I got a FX 5950 ultra 256 and I still get low fps in LOMAC!!! The TrashMan is getting cranky!!!!!!!

Is there really going to be a 2nd patch for SF? I mean wow its been a long time why even bother with it. The cost of man hours alone has to be a concern. I'm not trying to be bitter or make anyone mad here just trying to make sense of the whole thing. I would think Thirdwire should just release a new version to the market with all the kinks worked out and add more to it as far as carrier ops and stuff. Geez its been almost a year now. This is being handled like Xicat did for Janes Attack Squadron....they just forgot about it and moved on with only making one patch for the game. Once again I'm not trying to anger anyone here......heck at least it's a modders dream.

Man I live in Bakersfield, Ca. and its so embarrassing here now a days. Our state is broke and people are getting cosmetic surgery for everything. We might as well make Coleman our Govenor LOL. At least this year we're not buying energy from neighboring states so we can have air conditioning this year.

I bought this yesterday and its great. I got right up on a Cessna in a thunderstorm and squeezed my trigger thinking bullets were going to come out. LOL I must say the weather is awesome and being able to fly out of my airport here in Bakersfield, Ca. was a blast. The game even sets up for real time and weather, I mean it was the exact time and temperature as it was today when I was flying. I even put my lear jet down in LAX without my landing gear down for fun just to imagine how jacked up it would be for air traffic. LOL I cant wait till they make the Navy mod for it like FS2003.

Damn that had to be fun for the F-14 crew.

OK I'm less than impressed. Its exactly like the F/A 18 PSF version. This game does have all the kinks worked out though and multiplayer is better....no co-op though unless I'm missing something. LOL only a few of the key functions changed. It would appear that this game is just a stand alone expansion pack. They really need to work on the graphics and such to bring in a little bit more realism. Oh well at least its something sort of new to play. Geez I've been playing IL2 FB which is actually a lot of fun for a prop game.

OK the intro gave me goosebumps. LOL It has cool real photos with music in the background.

OK just bought it. Now to see if theres any improvements from the previous version. Hopefully its not just a new map. Also, its still a single CD game and this one came with no manual to hold just key card for the functions in the game. Of course the cd has a manual, lucky for me I have the first version that came with a really cool manual to read. I hate going into the cd for a manual.

Geez that thing scares me. I enjoy my neck working correctly.

OK just watched the replay demo. Hmm its the exact same graphics just different terrain. The sounds and everything are the same. Kind a bummed out. Oh well I'll still buy it and place it next to the first version I bought when it came out.

I have been calm for over a year now I think but now I feel my anger coming out. According to Gamestop, LOMAC will NOW be released 9/23/03. This was mucho disturbing to me. Man I just dont get it. Imagine all the peeps who pre-ordered the darn thing and already got their money back. I want this game just as much as everyone but man it better be the best darn thing to hit the sim world or people are going to feel let down in a bad way. I'm sure it will be great.............just frustrated. I'm gonna go cry now. LMAO

Thats funny Trout about the card. And yes I too cant wait to be behind the stick of the Taxi A-10. I have a bad feeling though the A-10 wont be the plane I'll be cruising anymore in dogfight mode if this game has real radar and the true air fighters perform as they are supposed to. Finished sim and possibly a demo to hold us over.

Well I own the first version of it called F/A 18 Precision Strike Fighters. It was Ok at the time. This Iraq version looks almost exactly like it except Im sure they got the kinks out of it and added more to it. http://www.xicat.com/games/FA18.htm Look familiar? I've managed to watch everyone so far. 10k a day for mailing packages from the troops.....thats a lot of packages being sent out.
