  1. Looking quite neat, you have a nice style of making stuff! Yes, at it's best making cockpits can be quite fun.. at it's worst tho..
  2. I think if one tried to actually create a high detail cockpit from scratch with all that goes with that, one would be more appreciative of other peoples efforts. It is fiddly as hell, takes a long time, and finding good reference material is hard. Back on topic, most Nato Fighters campaigns are hard, but any bird that gives you no or very bad BVR missiles are bound to be hard. Mirage 3C and the like.
  3. Looks great, but the main ADI housing could use a bit of a meshsmooth! Also, MachOneManuals carries the Hawk T1A manual http://www.flight-manuals.com/bae-hawk-tmk11a-aircrew-manual-r11.html No reference material like the original drawings from the manual, also a lot of technical information too for making avionics / functions. It might be available for free somewhere but I've found it well worth the cost of the two manuals I've bought. Search scribd.com first tho, there is a bunch of flight manuals there.
  4. Very clean modeling, as always! Liking it!
  5. That is a great video! Thanks!
  6. It looks strangely good in Brit colors! But of course the Blinder is looks wise the most awesome plane ever so it looks good in every variation. It might even pull of the grisly desert pink scheme... But probably not
  7. The importance of Martins modeling contribution to this project can not be overestimated, he has been a huge help fixing the external models different problems! Just compare these shots with my own work a few pages back

File Name: Tu-22 Blinder Templates File Submitter: Centurion-1 File Submitted: 19 April 2014 File Category: Skin Templates Tu-22 Blinder templates by Flogger23 tweaked and uploaded by Centurion 2048*2048 full layered PSD templates Usable for all the SF2 Blinders. The PSDs are actually named after the KD missile carrier but are identical to the B bombers except file naming. These templates are mostly for creating camo variants, silver textures might need some tweaks but this is a good place to start. Happy skinning! EDIT: Added the high-resolution bump maps I made out of these templates also, just drop into your Tu-22 directory. Click here to download this file

PsihiS = Unfortunately there is no good cockpit yet for the Tu-22, but if you really want to fly it you can download the Tu-128 by EricGen and use it's cockpit. Or alternatively one of Starys cockpits like the Il-28 or similar that has working bombsights. There might be a more suitable Tu-22 cockpit coming up but I am pretty swamped in projects right now so.. Open the Tu-22.ini and add the following statements CockpitDataFile=Tu-22_cockpit.ini <---- Or whatever the cockpit ini file is called AvionicsDLL=Avionics60.dll AvionicsDataFilename=Tu-22_AVIONICS.INI <---- Or whatever the avionics ini file is called Slick cowboy:Yeah uploading now

  13. About the F-5Es, would I be correct to assume that the early USN aggressors would wear ex-USAF liveries starting in '78, schemes like the "Old Ghost"`? On the Don Color site I found some nice USAF schemes, can anyone tell me if this would be correct? http://www.jpsmodell.de/dc/usaf_e.htm#1970 I plan to do more or less all of them but it will take time for sure!
  14. Man, I love that F-2A! It really is too bad that Japan can't export them, they fill a good gap between the F-16 and F-15 in terms of capability and payload!
  15. That is one cool plastic model for sure. Me and Martin are chipping away at this bird, martin is working the fuselage good! I finally got the main gears animated in a satisfactory manner (for now with my currents refs). I am now working the templates, it is an interesting bird to texture because of the differences to other aircraft, with steel skin and welds, not so many rivets but a lot of screws around the access panels et cetera. Remapping this bird was the right decision, now I can cram a lot of detail into the template.. Here is a early WIP to show the approximate detail level, hopefully will be able to add Comrads stencils and so for even more realism. Also, welcome to Combat Ace!
  16. Don't mean to derail this thread, but do you guys remember Topgun: Fire at Will from '96 by Spectrum Holobyte? I loved that game, my first air combat game for my first own PC that my dad bought for me in a fit of generosity. I really liked that and I have been toying with the idea to create a campaign series for SF2 that would follow the events of the campaigns there roughly, starting out with Topgun. Looks like I won't have to do the first bit really (IMHO, this game did a very good job of injecting story and characters into the otherwise very sterile air combat/sim genre. I'm a PC man so can't comment on the various Ace Combats tho, but they are quite arcade)
  17. I am getting completely destroyed trying to animate the main gear of the MiG-25. I just cant figure out what part should go where in what sequence. Adding to that is 3ds max super sucky animations. I guess I should build a rig for this and animate it thru inverse kinematics but I only ever did that on Maya and it will probably be a long time to make it work.... I really need help on this one.. anything guys, a diagram, a video or whatever. If someone has DCS they could give a look how the AI MiG-25 landing gear deploys? If anyone could help I would be really grateful!
  18. I uploaded the Dhimari Lightning 53 skin I did, the rest are by ValAstur and already avaliable. Both the F-5E and A-37B are both beta though, and not released yet, sorry. I will however release the first campaign file soon!
  19. If you do plan to make any post-78 Top Gun campaigns and need any specific kind of aggressor F-5Es, just say the word.

  22. File Name: Parani Air Force Pack 1 File Submitter: Centurion-1 File Submitted: 16 April 2014 File Category: What If Hangar -=Parani Air Force Pack 1=- *********************** *****by Centurion 1****** *********************** This pack adds a bunch of nation specifc, flyable aircraft that depicts the fictional Parani Air Force of the 1970s. All the skins are high-resolution and custom made for this. The baddies have never looked so good :) The fighters also have kill markings included. Included are: MiG-21MF*/PFM Mirage 3 called PC Mirage 5** called PD Mirage F.1 (early type, Cyrano IV radar and no RWR. Inboard Atoll pylons included) Su-7BMK Tu-22 Il-28 and a skin for the Tu-22KD. The reason for this not being a nation specific variant is I cant make cruise missiles work for other nations than the Soviets. The MiG-21s are based on the latest MiG-21 pack by Ataribaby and include the "hard" handling model. *The MiG-21MF have provisions for mounting Matra550 Magic 1 IRMS, because of the poor performance of the Atolls. This was done IRL by the Iraqi air force in the 1980s. If you dont like it, feel free to edit it out. **Converesly, the Mirage 5s have the possibility to mount WP IRMs and dumb ordnance, like the Libyan Mirage 5D Installation: Unzip to a mod folder of your choice. Suggested to use with Piecemeals excellent Desert 4 terrain. Requirements: MiG-21s, Il-28, Su-7, Tu-22: Any SF2 title more or less. Mirage 3 and 5: SF2 Israel (based on the Nesher and Shahak) Tu-22KD: SF2: North Atlantic CREDITS: Thirdwire for making Sf2 The CombatAce community for being very friendly, supporting and making SF2 live on! Piecemeal for making the Desert 4 terrain, the main reason for me making this pack Me (Centurion): Su-7BMK templates. Skins. Misc tweaks. Ataribaby, Paladrian, Spillone104,Howling1,Klavs81,Wrench,Lindr2,Zdenek Kussior, 4plus: MiG-21 pack (cockpits, data tweaks, sounds etc) Soulfreak: MiG-21 templates LudoM54: Mirage temps Flogger23: Il-28 and Tu-22 temps Stary: Su-7 and Il-28 cockpits Lindr2 for some weapons Ravenclaw for some weapons LudoM54, Crusader and me and the rest of the F.1 team for the Mirage F.1 And anyone else I might have forgot. 23. Sorry about the delay guys, wanted to fix a few small issues before I uploaded then I got a bit sidetracked with the MiG-25 and F-5. I will try to upload it tomorrow, might be a few errors but nothing major.
  24. Dont worry all the major operators will be covered, like Carlsberg, Heineken (that's the red star you see) and Budweiser. Also, some minor versions might be covered, like the interceptors of the Soviet PVO and the RB variants of the VVS.
  25. Update on the landing gear:
